I needed to add lighting in my dining room. I have been in this house for three years, the ceiling in the dining room didn't have a light fixture. We had two lamps, but I didn't like it because you have to walk over to the lamps in the corner to turn them on in the darkness! An electrician installed a ceiling connection and wired it to a wall switch by the room entrance. I browsed the Lamps Plus website and went to the Pasadena location to see their products in person. So glad I did, I got a good look and selected the perfect ceiling fixture for my home. The sales personnel were very helpful and made recommendations, which made it easier to narrow my choices down to the final three. They have "fancy" chandeliers, LED lighting, wall scones, floor lamps, interior and exterior lighting options. I learned so much about the different styles such as a flush mount, a hanging swag light, and features such as a dimmer with different light tones from high to low. I chose a Mission Tiffany Pendant light (sounds like a necklace, lol). As I write this review, I am in the dining room with the light above me! All I have to do is flip the switch and the room glows. I snagged a gorgeous pair of lamps for my bedroom during their summer sale (50% off!! And still ongoing as of 6/21/23). I wasn't even looking for bedroom lamps, but an ad with said lamps somehow found it's way to me via google and I had to investigate lol! It showed that these lamps were in stock at a nearby Pasadena location so I went in and was helped by Melanie. She was AWESOME!! She helped me right away - and even though they didn't actually have them on-site, she found a pair at another SoCal store and assured me she could have them delivered to me by the next day. I honestly wanted to lay eyes on them first before buying - but Melanie was very reassuring of their easy return policy should I not like them. The other store was too far for me to drive so I agreed. Melanie set it all up for me in less than 10 minutes - and tbh I was skeptical they would arrive that quickly but let me tell you - I received the lamps in less than 24 hours (via FedEx)!! They arrived in excellent condition and I couldn't be happier!! Right after I left the store, I received my confirmation email for my order and not too long after that I received shipping notification and tracking numbers. The whole process was so easy and smooth - and I just adore my new lamp set! This Pasadena location is easy to find in a small shopping center off busy Huntington drive and has plenty of parking. I saw online that they also sell Tiffany style lamps (which are always on my wish list lol) - so I'll definitely have to go back and see what they've got! Nice friendly staff but dropped the ball on customer service. My purschase was to be delivered on Friday three days after my purchase. When delivery didn't happen, I allowed an extra day and still no delivery. When I phoned the store, I was given the Fed-Ex tracking number so that I "could track it myself". Another two days have passed and the item is still "on its way". My disappointment is that the discovery was left to me - instead of some notification from the store itself. read more

We bought a pendant 11' light along with a 7W Dimmable bulb a few months ago. I realized the bulb is a little warmer then I expected. I want to exchange. The store manager Mr.Dane Rabjohns is very professional. kindly explained the difference between the (cool white day light 5000K) and 3000K. He is willing to return the bulb(2700k) which is past 3months policy . Instead of returning he gave me another bulb 3000K as a complementary to try. I decided to give it a try . Also, I ordered from Amazon for 5000k. I tried too. The 5000K is too cool.Totally white and the 3000k seems to me is perfect. I am very pleased with Dane's help. I have learnt from him. Was very happy with our sales person and purchased close to $2000 worth of lights & fans. I found the fan elsewhere at lower price ($100 less). I went online and started their price match process. 4 days in I decide to get online & chat. After much back and forth, they agreed to match the price- but refused to refund the taxes! Also, on their website it states, price match 100% plus 20%! I was told it's only 100% and got no response when I copy/pasted the quote from their website. They lost a sale and a customer. We're building a new house and needless to say, there were many more lighting & fans I need to purchase for it, but will not be buying from Lamps Plus. Update: In response to this review, we received a quick response from the manager who was filling in for the manager on vacation. He pointed out that despite what we were told in the chat, they in fact did credit the tax paid. He also authorized the 20% discount as promised on the website. I was walking around for a minute or so when an associate came by to help me. He asked what I was looking for and if there was a style I liked. He asked a few more questions to get a sense of what I was looking for, which I appreciated. The prices were pretty good and most of the products that I liked were from the Lamp Plus product line. The associate was really knowledgable of the products and I like that he knew about some other services they offered like the in house decorator which sounded pretty cool. It's a little sales-y, but not too pushy. I loved the Tiffany-style lamp selection that they have and I'll definitely have to come back for one next time. I pretty much knew what I was looking for so once i entered the store the first salesperson available I found was Lourdes. She was friendly enough and assisted me in finding what I was looking for. We first went to her computer to look up the examples I found online. I had made notes and brought it with me. Once I settled on a couple of samples she looked them up for availability and finding only one of the two we quickly and easily completed the transaction.
