I think I've finally found my kind of nail salon!! I went in on my birthday to get a spa pedi and gel mani.. Started with the pedi and she took her time to really work on my feet! The products they use are very nice and this is by far the best French pedi I've ever had! I always get French pedis because I love how it looks, and most places in town don't do a great job. Mine looks beautiful! They have every single gel color you can think of, and my gels came out well too!! Update: The gels cracked and chipped within two days!! I've never had gels go bad! I think it was the brand, but was really disappointed! My pedi looked great for a long time, so lesson learned is make sure the gel is a good brand??? read more

I was very excited to finally try out this place with my friend. The place looked very clean when we walked in. However, they only had two people working both busy when we stopped by on Sunday around 11:30. I let the receptionist know my friend and I wanted a mani and pedi. She asked us to sit and wait until she was done helping a man. We browse to find our nail polish color. Color selection was very small, most colors varied between pink and red hues. After a few minutes she told us she could only help one of us and the other had to wait 30 min or longer. They had another appointment at noon. After seeing our confused looked she recommended we go across town to Milpas to get our nails done. Really?! I truly appreciate the recommendation but next time if you can't help both of us, let us know before you ask us to sit and wait. I recommend if your a newbie trying out this place to call ahead and book an appointment to save you the hassle. read more

5 stars for nails and maybe a 3 for facials and eyelashes, but since it is primarily a nail salon, I'm reviewing for that. I would not indiscriminately give a business 5 stars, Yvonne's nails deserves it. The massage chairs are new, extremely comfortable, and are in perfect working order. I don't know how many nail salons I've been to that have beaten up massage chairs with missing remote buttons and features that don't work. It happens so often that I was genuinely surprised that the chairs were relaxing and effective. The salon is clean and Yvonne herself was constantly cleaning when she wasnt with a client. They did an excellent job on my nails, I'm extremely pleased. I'm very squeamish toward uncleanliness and unsanitary practices and there were no signs of that here. Came here with my roommate and I would definitely recommend. They made room for us instantly and were extremely accommodating. They took excellent care of my nails (and the arm massages were fantastic as well). My gel manicure lasted for almost three weeks without chipping and I would have left it alone if my nails hadn't grown so much. I will exclusively be coming to Yvonne's from now on. Although not in a high end salon, Yvonne is the BEST manicurist I have ever been to! She does the very best Gel Powder Dip I have had anywhere and I get them all over the country when I am traveling for work. For the first time in my life, my nails are not peeling or breaking and I am wearing them long. She is a perfectionist and yet she's fast! She is fluent in English and understands I need a light touch, as I hate getting manicures. Yvonne makes it quick and painless. Wae is great for Pedicures and foot massage. While the shop is not fancy it's spacious, clean and you are not on top of the other clients. I am so happy I chose to get my acrylics done here. I had read great reviews about Yvonne's and they were true. I arrived about 15 minutes early for my appointment and she took me right away. She took her time with my nails and made sure I was happy with the shape. She also asked if I would like to pay with venmo which made paying easier since I did not have to dig into my wallet. I can't judge based on other people's experiences only mine. I was staying with family in town from Las Vegas. I looked up the nearest salon with good ratings and found this salon. I have been getting dip nails for 2 years and pedicures in Vegas and had excellent work done. The pedicure was just ok but my dip nails were very disappointing. The person who did it was rushed, barely got the dip to all edges but somehow managed to get it on my skin on the majority of fingers? I had some nails that had jagged thin edges which have since broken off. I'm hoping this was a rare occurrence but will definitely not be going back. read more

Just started going to this place recently and I love it! I needed an emergency manicure and even though they were about to close Yvonne took me anyway. They have top of the line massage chairs, tons of color choices and it's always very quiet and relaxing inside! When I first walked in, I noticed the owner, Yvonne who had done my nails at Tinas nails several years back. She is super sweet, very good at what she does and willing to do whatever you would like! I came in for a manicure but was in a hurry and Yvonne was able to get a full set gel manicure done in less than 40 minutes, which included removing the gel that was previously on my nails. I was so satisfied that I went back the next day for a pedicure. There is plenty of off- street parking in the back which is great! Highly recommended! read more

when i got there they werent very busy. the lady doing my manicure name Linda cut my finger nails with a cuticle nipper, left the shape of my nails off / not even and she gave a lousy hand massage, i wouldnt let her do my nails again.. when she asked me to pay she started to complain to her co workers that i didnt leave a tip. i had my phone translating what she was saying. she was so rude. the lady doing my pedicure did a very good job her name was Chan. she took her time and used all the right tools and had enough skill to do my nails correctly. overall the salon was clean and organized i wouldn't recommend this place to my friends or family because i found a better place down the road with very polite nail techs. I was offered a " color" powder dip. Reluctantly, I agreed to do it. All I can say is , wow. My nails look so natural and they feel light and healthy. This place was able to get me in on a Friday afternoon at 3 pm to get a full set which was amazing. However it is extremely expensive and although the nails looked pretty I did not like the color of the pink they filled with my nails looked very white. Not like the pictures I had seen so that was disappointing. I felt like I was told it is perfect and great and never asked if I like how they look. In the future I will not be going back. read more

Oh my gosh, this place was SUCH a find! I've been to a lot of nail salons all over southern CA and this one is by far the best. Their services will not disappoint. The actual interior is extremely clean, but not Esthetically awesome. It's quiet, spa music playing, not a lot of other chattering clients, AMAZING massage chair pedi tubs - best massage chair ever! The technicians are nice, but not very talkative and most of the services I've had were spent in relaxing silence. Not full of customers, so no background cackling and chatter :-) So far, I've had two pedicures and gel acrylic fills. All were impeccable. Shape of nails after fills - perfect! I really want to like this salon. Ultimately I have always been happy with the end result but unfortunately their customer service and scheduling/organization fall short. I decided to make an appointment since the last time I came in I had to wait a while. I call the day before and make it for the next day in the afternoon. I show up at the time I am supposed to be there and I'm told they are running late. I wind up waiting about 30 minutes before they ask me if I can come back later. At this point I am pretty annoyed because I have things to do which is why I made an appointment in the first place and live 20 minutes away so it makes no sense for me to go back home. Wind up leaving for like 30 minutes to run an errand and then come back. I felt super rushed as I STILL had to wait another 15 minutes when I came back. I liked my nails but I'm a stickler for being on time so unfortunately probably will find somewhere else that does dip for the time being. if you don't mind waiting even with an appointment, its a good place! read more
