The ladies are gentle, warm, and very attentive. The spa pedicure included a soak, callous removal, exfoliation and paint. The gel manicure came out perfectly and I loved the color. I found this place off Yelp reviews. I live six hours away so all I had to go on were reviews of past patrons. I had to coordinate with Yvonne through email and her responses were prompt, within 20 minutes. They were able to accommodate my entire wedding party in the same time slot. On the day before my wedding, we were running behind for rehearsal so they did both my toes and my acrylic nails at the same time, which I appreciated. Yvonne doesn't smile much, is a little short on the phone, and doesn't necissarily give you her undivided attention BUT take into account cultural and language barriers, that she is running her own business, and that she is the only one who does the lash extensions. Yvonne is a hard worker. I watched her accommodate every person that called or came in. You can tell she appreciates her business and every dollar she earns. It is so hard to find a good salon and if I were one of those calls, I would want to be accommodated too, so put yourself in fellow customers shoes and cut Yvonne some slack. This salon also has the good pedicure chairs. They are the ones that massage you from head to lower back. The pedicure also came with a calf massage. When they are busy Yvonne's mother stops in to help. She is the nicest woman and was going around pampering people with arm massages. I was very satisfied with my eye lash extensions, acrylic nails, and pedicure. They were all beautiful and without flaws. yvonnes nail salon DO NOT GO HERE. I asked for a fill for my acrylic nails, and instead the man doing my nails used dip. He was also very rude and filed my nails so much that my finger was bleeding. He also did not apply enough color, so there were streaks on my nail. He also got the shape wrong three times and was very upset when I asked for a different shape. I won't be back. I made an appointment for a gel manicure, showed up and waited half an hour. The 'manager' kept apologizing for the lag and I thought he was going to do my manicure only he had someone else much much older try to do my service. The woman didn't speak at all, kept getting up to go to the back. At this point I'm 45 minutes into this appointment. Another manicurist showed up. Took someone else that came in after me. I was hoping she would've taken over and completed my service. I told the lady trying to my service to file my nails, she filed my skin off a few fingers! When she grabbed the cuticle scissors, I said 'No'! I asked the manager if I could just wait for him to do my nails and he said yes. He came over 10 minutes later, pushed the towel where my hands were and my rings (engagement & wedding) fell to the ground. I was LIVID. When it came time to pay the service was $5.50 more and I asked how much a gel mani was he said $40 and I said why does your iPad say 45.50? He apologized and changed it. No thanks none of the experience was professional or polite. Everyone else coming in for a service, including the person the manager was working on was more important. I'll keep driving to Montecito or SB for my nails. read more

I'd say the only thing I'm a little disappointed with is there are small scratches on my right middle nail from the electric nail file she was using. When we walked in, Yvonne and her colleague made us comfortable by getting us settled in the luxury massage chairs. My boyfriend got a mani pedi and was extremely pleased while I went for a more extravagant look with acrylic nails. I have very sensitive fingers and usually get cut by the electric filer. Came here this weekend for a regular pedicure; it was nothing special and I felt it was definitely not worth $30(!). The pedicure felt rushed and there was not really much to it. Wow. Most expensive mani/pedi I have ever had, and I have lived and/or worked in Orange County and San Jose. It was not a relaxing experience. I had to argue to get an acrylic nail on a damaged toe nail just as I had been doing for 10 years. They would rush through a step then leave me for 10-15 then someone else would come to do the next step. All in all, not what I wanted or needed before a white tie and tails event.
