Came here for a quick bite before dinner during happy hour and was blown away! The setting is a laid-back grill/bar atmosphere. The staff are some of the friendliest people we've met on the island. We got the calamari, fried cauliflower, and oysters. All on the happy hour menu. The server told us the calamari is their most ordered item and I can see why! Everything was delicious! Fried cauliflower was crisp and flavorful. Oysters were fresh and a great happy hour find. If you're looking for a casual spot with high-quality bites, this is it! Don't skip the calamari!

We enjoyed our happy hour dining experience at Lanai City Grill at Hotel Lanai! We were seated promptly at a comfortable table and our server took our drink order straightaway. My lilikoi nojito (alcohol free) was delicious and refreshing! My subsequent gingerade was equally refreshing and very ginger! My significant other enjoyed his margarita on the rocks with salt, which could also be enjoyed blended with salt. Ono! We ordered fried calamari, smashburger with fresh salad, potato spudz, deep fried cauliflower, and chi dog with fresh salad. Filling at affordable happy hour prices! Woo hoo!

From the moment we walked in, the service was absolutely immaculate. This was my first time ever visiting Lānaʻi, and this restaurant truly made the experience unforgettable for me, my friends, and my other half. Every single visit felt special. We were welcomed with warmth, taken care of consistently, and treated with genuine hospitality each time we dined here. And yes, each time means almost every day for an entire week. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I tried about 70 percent of the menu, and I can confidently say not one dish disappointed. Every plate was beautifully presented and tasted just as incredible as it looked. You can tell there is care, pride, and intention behind every dish. Let's talk food, because this menu deserves it. For breakfast, start with a wellness shot to wake yourself up, followed by the avocado toast. From there, choose between the shrimp and grits or the local mocha option. Both are outstanding and set the tone for the rest of the day Lunch is a must. Order a Bloody Mary and pair it with the Smashburger, and yes make it a double. Add the purple potato salad on the side and you are set. This combo alone could convince you to come back again and again Dinner is where the menu really shines. Start with the mushroom and polenta and calamari if you're looking for something light, go ahead and get that hearts of palm or Caesar salad, which is comforting and perfectly balanced. Then choose your adventure. The steak and frites, pork shank, fried chicken sandwich, or the catch of the day especially with the mahi. There are so many options and every single one delivers. If you are feeling a little special, go for the Big Action Tower. The shrimp and oysters are beautifully sized and incredibly fresh, with a few other bites included that make it perfect for sharing. I will not spoil the surprise. Just order it and enjoy And please do not skip dessert. The pineapple upside down cake with vanilla ice cream is a must. If that is not your thing, the haupia trifle is just as delicious and the perfect way to end the meal. The atmosphere ties everything together. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out. The interior is modern, cozy, and inviting without feeling overdone. Outside is just as stunning, and the live music takes the experience to another level. It adds such a special island touch and makes you want to sit back and stay a little longer If you are visiting Lānaʻi for the first time, this place is an absolute must. Amazing service, top tier food and drinks, beautiful surroundings, and unforgettable vibes. Highly recommend.

Cute place but it was so loud I couldn't hear my husband. The oysters were super fresh and delicious! The burger was bland. The fish of the day was fresh, wasn't a fan of the butter sauce, it didn't taste like brown butter. The chicken was tender. Sad they no longer have chicken wings or burrata.

Service was great, ambiance was great. There's seating inside and a covered patio. When they play live music on the patio, you can't really hear it on the inside. The menu has one page of food and at least three pages of alcoholic drinks. This place is frequented by locals and tourists. It's attached to the old Hotel Lanai!

My Father had a stroke. I flew in from San Diego to see him in the hospital next door. I came to the restaurant for papaya and coffee. I miss Hawaii. Part of the reason I miss it so much, is people like Valentine! I shared my reason for being on Lanai with Valentine, and she was genuinely empathetic. She even offered me a hug, which I truly needed at that time. Her service was diamond resort equivalent. I have stayed at those, and you will not receive more impeccable service. They go above and beyond to assure guest satisfaction. She anticipated my needs. Was readily available, although the place was filling up quickly. Her smile is absolutely beautiful. Just looking at her lifted my spirits. Beautiful soul. Gorgeous young lady. Inside and out. Any establishment has a true (one of a kind) gem in Valentine. Would love to return, and enjoy the live music outdoors next time. I also have my eye on their pasta dishes!!! The hotel is so tastefully done. Too bad their kamaaina rates are still high. Makes it hard for those of us traveling in on a drop of a dime. Hotel seemed busy though. I'm very glad to see the hotel doing well.

We came here at least 3 times during our stay at Hotel Lanai and we were very impressed with basically everything that we ordered here. The food is made with much care, plus there is live music here every night (so long as the musician doesn't cancel). The first night we ordered the tofu, green beans and eggplant dish to start. We asked for it to come together with our other dishes but it still came out first and very quickly. We then also ordered the Rustichella pasta, the prawns special and two drinks. The star of the show was the tofu dish and my partner liked the prawns. However the pasta dish could have used a bit more varied flavors, even if it was still pretty good. We came again for dinner on taco Tuesday. There was a live band playing jazz and it was so nice to listen to music with dinner out in the patio. What a treat that they do it every night. The Taco Tuesday menu has some of the similar items to the normal menu but with the addition of tacos. My partner ordered the catch of the day and I ordered the potato taquitos (it was under tacos but it was fried). We also got a side of tortilla chips and guacamole. The fish was so fresh as were the taquitos and guac. We had breakfast from the hotel when the restaurant was closed on Sunday and Monday but the yogurt bowl and the açaí bowls were from the restaurant. Again, the fresh fruit was amazing. We then came for breakfast and got an oat milk latte, breakfast burrito with avocado and Ube mochi pancakes. I think the last breakfast was one of our favorite meals. We found out they just started opening for breakfast and lunch last December of 2024. Yet the food is off the charts. Everything here is so fresh and great, so I definitely recommend it for those visiting Lanai. They put a lot of thought and care into their dishes and know what they are doing. Would definitely come back the next time we visit Lana'i. Would be advisable to make a reservation especially for dinner when the restaurant gets super busy.

By FARRRR the best meal on Lanaii, better than either of the two Nobus. A spot where there is live music, where all the locals go, and just a super positive atmosphere! We were lucky to be here on a Tuesday night for taco tuesday, and oh man it did not disappoint. The fish tacos were excellent, but the main attraction was definitely the parker rolls! You have to get there early to get in on those rolls. We got there at 530pm and they had almost sold out. Definitely worth the hype. Overall, the food was delicious. Everything was super delicious. You will not regret going there! Advice, make a reservation in advance!

From the staff to the live music to the food: 5 stars all the way. Our waitress was exceptional happily making recommendations. We chose to follow her advice and had the hearts of palm and tomato salad. It was extraordinary, the salad dressing light and slightly sweet was the perfect complement to the fresh hearts of palm and local heirloom tomatoes. The pork shank was falling off the bone and enough for two to share except the Parmesan polenta was so good. We had to order an extra side to accompany the giant portion of meat on the pork shank. Pineapple Parker house rolls, a portion so generous we were able to take home the leftovers and enjoy them for breakfast the next day too. We would not normally order dessert, but pineapple upside down cake was entirely too tempting and it did not disappoint. We would go back again and again and leave the resort for this extraordinary meal and fantastic service. Make the 30 minute trip from the Four Seasons or stay at this lovely hotel downtown Lanai.

The food is great, especially considering the difficulty of sourcing food on the island. The wine was also something special. In addition, the service was over the top incredible. Seriously, I was full but kept eating because the staff was so nice!! On an island full of delicious menus, this is a must-go.

Ate here several times during our recent stay and it never disappointed. Great staff and a large and incredible mene- make this a must visit! Some other reasons to visit are that they have entertainment often and happy hour daily.

This place is my goto. I hang out with my friend here at Happy Hour or Taco Tuesday. Shirley Temples and Smash Burgers to end off a long work day is our go to but my favorite snack ons are the calamari, potato spuds, Parker Rolls, and my new top favorite Roasted beets!!! During these busy times it does get loud but it's such a friendly atmosphere! I have also come for brunch and gosh is the Avocado toast to die for. The staff is friendly and connective it's easy to get attached to this place!!

We ended up eating here three nights in a row because we thought we couldn't eat at the Four Seasons restaurants (except for Views at the golf course) without staying at the resort, based on what its website states. The shuttle driver who took us to the ferry at the end of our trip said that wasn't the case. Oh well. Our first night, we had the misfortune of a not very good musician playing inside. It was SO incredibly loud. Uncomfortably loud. Because of the music, everyone was shouting. It was difficult to hear the server. There wasn't even a PA, just a monitor. The decor is charming. Mixed wallpaper, mixed lighting features, mixed seating. There is an outdoor seating option, and typically the music is outside. But when it threatens rain, they move the music inside. We had lovely service from Maryann the first night and Eddie the two successive nights. Fortunately outdoor music on night two and no musician at all on night three. Made for a much more enjoyable experience. The only dish we didn't love was the ahi fish sando. Ahi was way overcooked (they had said medium) and the sandwich lacked flavor. Our favorite dishes were the pineapple Parker rolls with miso butter (great warmed up for breakfast); the venison sausage appetizer, the mushroom bucatini and the fried chicken sandwich. The pineapple upside down cake is phenomenal. Caramelized top makes it really special.

The Rum Cannonball was delicious as well, with a bright pineapple flavor that's perfect for a hot day on the patio. They do have a nice selection of local beers on tap. Food The Kalua Pork Sliders were the highlight. The pork paired beautifully with the curry slaw, so many layers of flavor, and the toasted roll was a perfect finishing touch. This was enough food for a group of 5. The appetizers were the weakest part of the meal, but were still tasty. Nevertheless, we're glad we tried it. The chopped salad was fine, but nothing special. Fortunately, the rest of the meal was excellent. The orecchiete pasta was a favorite among the group. The tagliatelle was also strong, and I liked the texture of the pasta. I'm someone who would never normally order a steak at a restaurant, but the beef dish was my favorite. So tender and flavorful. Lastly, the pizza was solid. Next time, I would order with different toppings, but the crust was good--slightly crispy. The service was also excellent.
