Called this garage looking for a new rear windshield wiper & motor as mine was damaged in a car wash. The gentleman asked me to email him the make, model, etc of my vehicle & he would place the order for the parts and be back in touch with me. I did so immediately as we got off the phone. One week later, no word. I called the garage back & the same gentleman said he was still waiting on feedback from Land Rover about the part. Two weeks later, no word. This started mid-November & today is January 11 & still no word back. Obviously after three weeks of being forgotten about, I took my business elsewhere & had a new windshield wiper & motor installed within 5 days. read more

I've been using Lance's exclusively for over 2 years now thanks to a referral from a friend. Lance is easily the most honest and reasonable car mechanic I have come across in Nashville. In the two years I've been taking my aging car to him, he has consistently 1) shot me straight on proposed repair work, 2) been honest and up front about what needed to be fixed immediately and what could wait 3) given me the best price on parts and labor, and 4) consistently stood behind his work and the work of his employees. On top of all that, Lance is also a great guy to know. He's friendly, and I get the sense that he genuinely appreciates my business. Lance has been working on foreign vehicles for several years, and he opened his own independent garage a few years ago. Lance specializes in Land Rovers and higher-end imports, but he is more than capable of working on working-Joe vehicles as well (I drive a Jeep). I ve been going to lance for about 5 years. All was good until he started to hire other mechanics and that Chet left. Now it's a different story, one time my engine mount was broken, another time it was something else... And lately, my car had not been serviced even though I left it almost 2 weeks. To bring me back they offered to do the oil change for free when I d brought it back. I did and I left it about a week and to my surprise I was billed for the oil change and my car was covered in bird poop... They are just sorry. I m pretty sure I have not seen lance in the last 3 times I went. Conclusion. He grew too fast and it's disappointing. The hole on the wall garage has became an inexperienced and expensive hole in the wall. I did recommend this place to all my friends but I will certainly not anymore and I will not come back. read more

Lance and his crew are some of the best in town. When it comes to Land Rovers you aren't going to find someone as knowledgeable and helpful. They go above and beyond with their attention to detail and are honest in their pricing. If there is something wrong, he will find it. read more

This is my first Yelp review, but the folks at Lance's Foreign Auto Repair deserve this and thousands more! I recently moved to Nashville without any references for servicing my 2006 Range Rover Sport. I found Lance's online and will NEVER take my Rover anywhere else. The staff is the best. Jessica, Lance--everyone there is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They took the time to explain the services, parts and pricing. The shop was spotless. The prices are the lowest in town (I called around). Lance's replaced my alternator and sport control arms and my Rover drives better now than it ever has! They only use high-performance parts. And, they did this in half a day since I was leaving on vacation. These folks obviously love their jobs and it shows in the work quality. The owner, Lance and everyone who works there are some of the nicest people I have ever met. My 2005 Toyota Prius needed a new hybrid battery and Lance's Foreign Auto Repair was the only place in Nashville (besides Toyota) that would replace it. My car was almost 10 years old at the time, so I didn't want to pay the $3,800 for a new battery from Toyota, so Lance put a refurbished battery in for a $1,000 less! Whoohoo! AND it came with a 3 year warranty!! Unfortunately, the refurbished battery only lasted one year (not Lance's fault), so I took it back to Lance's and with no questions asked they did all the diagnostic tests, filled out the paper work, ordered another refurbished battery, and installed it. Lance didn't charge me a dime! I thought for sure he would charge me for labor (which is totally fair!), but he didn't. It was such a blessing! They stand by their warranties and their work. They are very trustworthy and I highly recommend them. read more

My teen daughter was stranded in Nashville with a broken down 2006 Land Rover LR3. We live in Atlanta and I had to go online to find a repair shop that works on Rovers as they are very difficult cars to repair correctly. I was lucky to find Lance's. It was Friday of the New Year's weekend and I was very lucky that they were open. They were able to get the car towed to their shop and fixed it same day so she could get back on the road home. They even agreed to speak to my local Rover repair guy here in Atlanta so I could be sure they were treating us fairly with their recommendation for the repair.
