From the very beginning, the staff was professional, knowledgeable, and exceptionally easy to work with. The trimmer needed a new motor and switch, which they replaced under warranty. The mower had a much more difficult issue... would no longer start, and even after extensive troubleshooting, the exact cause couldn't be determined. Beach Lawn & Garden worked closely with Ryobi throughout the warranty process, kept me informed every step of the way through both phone calls and emails, and made what could have been a frustrating experience remarkably easy. I also appreciated that they were upfront about the $40 diagnostic deposit for each tool, and once the warranty work was approved, they promptly refunded the full $80 without any hassle. In the end, Ryobi chose to replace my mower with a brand-new current-generation model, complete with two new 6Ah batteries and a new rapid charger. While that was Ryobi's decision, Beach Lawn & Garden handled the entire process professionally and made everything go smoothly from start to finish. To top it all off, they were kind enough to hold both of my tools for a few extra weeks while I was unable to make the trip to Virginia Beach to pick them up. That level of customer service is increasingly hard to find. Called and spoke with Douglas who came to my house. He took apart the carburetor and found he couldn't clean it out entirely and it needed to be replaced. He gave me the information on Amazon and I ordered a new kit which turned out to be a cheap Chinese product. Texted him back a few days later and he didn't reply because he does not answer texts as I found out later. I called him a week after and he said he would send out his son. Brandon came out and replaced the carburetor. When it was done it was idling higher than normal. It made put-put sounds like an outboard motor and actually backfired once. Brandon told me he had to go abruptly and said to call him the following day as he would return. He said the valves were the problem and quoted me additional costs. I called him the following day and he gave me a time period later that day when he would call me back and let me know when he would be coming out. He never called. I texted him asking to make and appointment and he never responded. The only thing they did right was cashing my checks. I called my old mobile repair person. He gave me a list of what they did wrong from ordering an inferior carburetor to how it was not properly installed and or adjusted. After retiring, I am always trying to save a buck and it was my fault for having faith in these two "persons." I should have seen it coming that when dealing with Douglas and his attitude. What kind of people take an elderly person's money and not complete the job nor even return a call and texts? My mower was less than 2 months old but needed to have the self propelled mower replaced as it was defected. The first place on the list that would repair Ego mowers was this other place that had a 30 dollar deposit which would be refunded after the warranty covered the repairs. What made me uncomfortable was the fact that the wait was over a month before they would look at it. Not only that, it would be sitting outside in the elements (or a somewhat covered area still outside). It was the hottest time of the summer and I felt with an electric mower, it wouldn't be good for the components, the fading or whatever would occur in that months time. I didn't like that and called Capital. Capital answered right away and said they could have it seen in less than 2 days and repaired as soon as the parts came in. I was looking at a week vs over a month. Their deposit was 60 dollars however I didn't care about that because I knew it was covered by ego. Everything went very smooth and a week later, my mower was fixed and back to brand new status. It was actually better than new because the motor to the self propelled was defected from the beginning. I got the deposit back with no hassle and was on my way. I was thrilled with the service and for certain would be taking my equipment back here if ever needed. Oh, I did mention to them the other place had my mower outside and he was shocked to hear that especially with an electric one. He took me over to the warehouse that was an actual building and showed me where my mower would be. That was the icing on the cake! I highly recommend this place for your repairs.

June 21, 2024 we sent it in because it would not crank, I mowed that morning and two hours later it would not start. I had just replaced the battery 2 weeks before They said it was the battery. I had them do go ahead and do a full services including changing the seat bushings all together about $813.13. Aug 6, 2024 I went to go out and mow and the same thing happened again, would not crank, the fuel was low so I added some just to make sure, Still would not crank. I hooked up my jump box and it cranked and blew some smoke the result of bad fuel as it turned out. But it still would not crank . The tank had to be drained and the said the battery was dead and just needed to be charged $550.56. Sept 4, 2024 I had used the mower twice and It did the same thing again would not crank. They told me it was a solenoid and another part price $650.00. I am not saying they charged me for something they did not do, but that they did not do or fix what should have done to begin in June. So after $2012.69 Jenifer in Service offered me $150.00 discount. I will never use them again I will send my Deere to James River Equipment in Wakefield.
