I have three John Deere mowers: two Z-Tracks and a X500. This is the second year I have used Quality Equipment in Chesapeake to do the winter maintenance on them. They have been fantastic, and both Greg (the chief service tech) and Jenifer (service advisor) were amazing! They were clear on the pricing and worked on all three of my mowers in a timely fashion. We have a John Deere 915B that we are very Happy with, our disappointment came from Quality Equipment in Chesapeake Va.. June 21, 2024 we sent it in because it would not crank, I mowed that morning and two hours later it would not start. I had just replaced the battery 2 weeks before They said it was the battery. I had them do go ahead and do a full services including changing the seat bushings all together about $813.13. Aug 6, 2024 I went to go out and mow and the same thing happened again, would not crank, the fuel was low so I added some just to make sure, Still would not crank. I hooked up my jump box and it cranked and blew some smoke the result of bad fuel as it turned out. But it still would not crank . The tank had to be drained and the said the battery was dead and just needed to be charged $550.56. Sept 4, 2024 I had used the mower twice and It did the same thing again would not crank. They told me it was a solenoid and another part price $650.00. I am not saying they charged me for something they did not do, but that they did not do or fix what should have done to begin in June. So after $2012.69 Jenifer in Service offered me $150.00 discount. I will never use them again I will send my Deere to James River Equipment in Wakefield. read more

Brought the Z345 zero turn tractor there as a replacement for a Craftman 4 years ago that ran for years and did basic work. I was surprised to see the JD cut my grass and left a salon look. Also if I can't get to my yard in two weeks, it push right through 8 inches of new growth. My recommendation is leave the big box store alone they do not have quality service nor can you get pick service or home service at reasonable cost. My neighbors are upset because my JD got my yard looking like it's ready to be judged. Lawn service is 250- 275.00 a month, instead my tractor pay for itself the first year. Came in for a replacement mower belt for my John Deere LA115. They've been at this location now about 4 months - the store is clean and easy to navigate. Lots of John Deere equipment outside and plenty of swag and accessories inside. They also have a large selection of Stihl power tools, and I did find myself seriously considering the wide array of chainsaws... next time? We purchased a Z540R zero turn mower there a couple years ago. The buying experience was great and the mower has worked well. Unfortunately, if anything goes wrong with the mower, it takes about a week to get the store to come pick it up, at least another two weeks to get the service done, and then a couple of days to get the mower delivered. Our most recent experience, we called on June 16th. It took until June 22nd to get the mower picked up. It took 3 1/2 weeks to get the mower delivered. It was dropped off today (July 17th). We went out and tried to use it to cut our really high grass. Of course, the mower isn't working. Extremely frustrating!!! The store is closed on Saturday afternoons and Sundays. We called the emergency after hours number. No luck. If you're going to keep our mower for around a month to do repairs that are covered under the warranty, please get it back sooner and make sure it actually works before dropping it off. read more

We disputed the cost for repairs by hydraulic service company (They fixed what East Coast Equipment messed up) with our credit card company and they ruled in our favor, A bIg Thank You - citi card that was the correct thing to do. read more

I purchased a roto tiller earlier this summer and was pleased with the customer service I received. My tiller has been working fine. I recently had an issue with a riding lawn mower that I bought else where. I stopped in at East Coast to see if they could repair it. They were able to schedule a quick pick up. When Bobby came out he tightened a cable and just like that my mower is working fine. He gave me the option of sending in for service or not. I chose not to. There was no charge!
