Unfortunately, she was not attentive or welcoming during our visit. We had to wait for assistance, and the overall service felt dismissive and inattentive. As someone who has visited before and recommended this cafe, I expected a much better level of customer service. I even contacted management directly to discuss my concerns regarding the staff member and my experience, but I have received no response or follow-up. That was especially disappointing because I made an effort to address the issue privately and give management an opportunity to respond. After this experience, I no longer feel comfortable recommending BK or returning as a customer. I hope management takes customer service concerns more seriously and provides better training and accountability for their staff.

The piece of cake and coffee came right away to counter. I sat down. Then about 5 minutes passed and my two cookies just showed up. I went back up to ask the guy at counter for them. I was greeted upon walking in, and there was a menu board on the wall with what I'm guessing are specials (daily or short term, I'm not sure) as well as laminated menus at the counter where you order. The menu has breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches, salads, and great side options. It was explained that as much as possible is made in house (you can even buy house made pickles or pickled onions! to take home!) and there were several options that sounded delicious. I ended up going with a crispy chicken ranch wrap that was offered on the hanging menu board of specials. I got this to go and treated myself to a sprinkle cookie with it. While I was waiting for my food, Brad chatted with me about his love for hockey and he was so kind! My wrap was packed up super nice in a to go box and in a bag so I could easily walk back home to enjoy it. Still warm as I unwrapped it at my house, this wrap was delicious. It has fresh lettuce and tomato, crispy chicken, melty cheese, and ranch sauce (plus ranch on the side!) and a house made pickle spear. This was a perfect lunch and because everything was made fresh, it was actually really light and delicious. The cookie was unshockingly also tasty, I loved the rainbow sprinkles and it was such a fun treat after my meal. This is a cozy little spot on Lincoln in downtown Skokie. The staff is quite friendly and happy to help. I ordered a Reuben sandwich, which was grilled and delicious - my only note is to add more sauerkraut. My friends ordered soup and sandwiches -- Southwest Turkey Melt and another Reuben. The food was great! The ambience and good vibes was even greater! And the brownies and other baked goods to die for. Support this worthy business and have a great meal in the process. Surprisingly, unlike most restaurants, the Evanston Corner Bistro doesn't celebrate birthdays, they don't even have a candle to put on a dessert. My wife decided she was going to celebrate with dessert anyway, so she ordered the NY Cheesecake with Strawberry sauce. It came out with something more like Strawberry Jam. My wife liked the idea of having the jam better than sauce. The problem was it turned out to be RASPBERRY jam NOT strawberry. Luckily my wife isn't ALLERGIC to Raspberries. Then there was a service charge added to the bill, but NO WHERE in the restaurant or on the menu is this mentioned.
