Beware of Shady Practices at this Dealership I've always taken my 2018 Land Rover to the dealer for repairs, trusting them as a reputable establishment. I recently brought in due to a odd noise, expecting a thorough diagnosis. They charged me $291 just for the diagnostic and a total of $1,028 for the repairs. However, when I picked it up, the truck was still making the exact same noise just louder. I informed Jack (service representative), and he got me back in for service quickly. The service manager test-drove it with me and claimed he knew what the issue was, stating that it usually doesn't happen until colder weather. They supposedly fixed the problem, and Jack called me to pick up my truck, adding an additional charge of $225 for a part, with "no labor fee." I was shocked and questioned why I was being charged at all since the initial repair didn't solve the problem. Jack insisted that I wasn't being billed for labor, but I made it clear: the labor was already paid for when they repaired something unrelated to the actual issue. After a lot of back and forty they agreed not to charge me. However, just a week later, my car started smoking uncontrollably while driving, and the coolant light and came on, began to smoke, and had to be towed. It's clear because I didn't blindly pay for their "guesswork," they tampered with something critical. If there were any issues with the coolant or radiator, it should've shown up on the original diagnostic report- which it didn't. Save yourself the headache and money. This dealer is a total rip-off. They charge exorbitantly for misdiagnosing problems and then try to cover their mistakes with extra, unnecessary charges. Don't fall victim to their tactics! I will be contacting BBB regarding this issue and the Attorney General's Office for results. read more

On my last straw with this location that I rather drive 45 mins to another dealership. I had a scheduled pick up, they claimed I didn't answer and proceeds to schedule me for another appointment without discussing with me first. I spoke with someone about it and said I would drop it off and I was told it's too late in the day that she can't guarantee service. Had my car towed to this location after a minor accident. Needed 2 tires and a rim replaced. Took 5 calls and a promise of a call back not returned after 24hrs to get a quote for the job. After getting quoted $1150 for one rim among other very high quotes I had the car taken to another shop. Got the same Range Rover rim new at $350. This service department is a mess and you can see the profit margin they work on. I don't recommend this dealership or service dept. Atl least if you overcharge high level service would be provided. read more

The finance team with Brian and Alyssa are incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile. Nelia in Sales is the best, a consummate professional....trustworthy, friendly, accommodating and always up to speed on the latest developments in the industry. Reese was able to juggle some things around to fit me in for an appointment when I needed it most. Finally, I recently met Clay in the Service department and he carries on the LRML ethos of doing things right the first time. Be forewarned. My service Department experience was terrible. It started off well. The service advisor noticed a piece of trim on the roof was missing. I told him it must have been from some recent work as it relates to a windshield repair at Land Rover dealer - my guess. He said he would order the part, have it painted and call me. No call. I called after 1 week, they were not sure part was ordered. They want to charge me now! 2018 with 4K miles. In just one email to West Chester Land Rover, which was responded to in minutes, they said they would cover. I found my new dealer! After one purchase and 4 cars serviced at Main Line, it will be worth the extra distance to drive to West Chester. It is the details that matter. Thanks West Chester for jumping in!! read more

What a shame. It's a beautiful dealership but the salespeople just fall short in their helpfulness. Unless you are a 45-55 yr. old with an ascot on they just don't want to seem to help. Keep in mind this is a Land Rover/Jaguar dealership. I was looking for a new car. At the time, Jaguar had just released the XF and it seemed to fit the bill for what I was looking for. They did not have any cars in stock, but the moment they got one they would call. The salesman took my number (wrote it on a sticky note...how professional) and said he would call. Right when I saw him put it on a sticky note I knew I would never receive the call. Now, I understand I may not fit the typical Jaguar owner profile, but I can easily afford the car (or any on the lot) and I don't get all gussied up to go buy one. I guess since I'm only 32 that I just didn't warrant his time or a callback. T hen, silly me, the better half wanted a new car so she went and looked at the Land Rover LR2. The salesperson did not remember us at all and talked to us like we had never been there before. Again, they did not have what she wanted in stock, but another callback was offerered. And, you guessed it, we never got a call back. I don't understand it, but what can you do. We do not chase salesmen down to get things. We just move onto the next. So, I went to Don Rosen Imports, drove just about everything on their lot and ended up with a Porsche Cayman. She ended up with a Lexus. LR/Jaguar of the Main Line ended up with no sale and 2 people who will probably never buy a car there. Amazing how the simple courtesy of a phone call can change things right? read more

We had our LR4 in several times this year as it would suddenly lose power (very dangerous) and idle barely moving enough to get off the road..first trip in 800 dollars for what they said was a firmware issue.. 3 weeks later same issue, cost us 3,500...for what they said was a fuel pump, then during installation they broke a seal on the motor charging us to repair it...one month and over 4 thousand dollars same issue happened again... after an internet search I found a similar issue relating to a mass air flow sensor.(we informed dealer but they ignored us and went with more costly work... the sensor part that is less than $100... and easily replaced, (by a local mechanic) seems to be the fix, so far so good, no thanks to main line land rover! read more

We bought a certified pre-owned Discovery that the previous owner had only kept for 1 month before selling back. After about 3 weeks of ownership we were driving down 676 and our car shut off completely, all systems dark and no buttons working. It was a terrifying experience and we were very lucky no one crashed into us as we did our best to get to safety on the tight 3 lane highway. Turns out there was an open recall on the car that caused it to have a 'catastrophic failure'. The dealership DID NOT bring the recall to our attention when we purchased, other than a small line item on a Carfax report that was not discussed. They put my family's safety at risk and did not seem to care. They also dismissed our request to inform every customer they had sold the recalled cars to. I would not recommend becoming a customer of theirs. We ended up going to Willow Grove Land Rover and they took much better care of us the second time around and were very accommodating. Also Willow Grove puts giant bows on the cars when you buy them and who doesn't love that? read more

Gross abuse of sales tactics and unethical practices. I am shocked and appalled at the behavior that has occurred that ultimately tarnish the Land Rover brand and reputation. I have been a customer for over three years now, and I have recently leased another vehicle. This is my second lease with them. While I noted unethical sale pitches and promises that were later found to be untruthful during my first least, at the time I did not find them material so I disregarded them. This time after my second lease purchase I have to speak up due to the blatant lies and manipulation in order to deceive and take advantage of me as a customer. I tried to resolve this matter with the sales manager who told me he would follow up and respond accordingly. He has since not returned any e-mails or phone-calls, or provided me any illusion as to accountability on the issue. If nothing else I feel that a response should have taken place regardless of affirmation or denial of my claims. To be ignored after making such a large investment for the second time with this dealership is unfathomable and unlike any experience I have ever had with a luxury brand. I am utterly disheartened by the way I have been treated and the sales practices that were used to misinform, manipulate, and alter facts of my transaction to ultimately take advantage of me. I was first contacted regarding options for the conclusion of my lease. We discussed the mileage overage as a deterrent to simply disposing of my vehicle without purchasing a new one from LandRover. Based on this my salesman and I both agreed to pursue either the option of keeping the vehicle and incurring no mileage fees or obtaining a new lease and incurring no mileage fees. Our scenarios assumed that the mileage and the wear and tear fees would be covered by the dealership should I conclude to purchase a new vehicle. It was never discussed with me a scenario in which I would purchase a new vehicle and in addition still be responsible for the mileage and wear fees. It would not make financial sense for me to even consider incurring both expenses which I made clear to the sales rep on multiple occasions. When I came in to sign the paperwork I was asked to sign a form that said "we owe you". It was not explained to me that this document included the mileage disposition fees as a expense owed to me, it was presented as trade in cost paperwork which clearly was not the situation I was in. The paperwork in noway mentioned mileage fees or even the remaining lease payments which had been agreed to be paid, yet these were the costs which responsibility were assumed by the dealership verbally. When I received notification of payment due for the old lease I reached out to again confirm that this should not be my responsibility and I again asked my sales rep and was confirmed that I did not owe anything additional for the disposed vehicle as had been promised to me. I was not contacted about the lease payment again as the dealership assumed it as they had committed to do. I have leased cars in the past and upon signing a new lease I was never expected to assume responsibility for these costs nor was I presented with an apparent waiver to that fact. More-so with the financing company owned by the manufacturing company no additional paperwork or action was needed on my part regarding the disposition or payment of fees; as LandRover has a similar setup in terms of its financing company I assumed the case would be the same when I returned my vehicle. Months later I receive a bill for the mileage. After once again contacting the dealership I was told they would follow up on this matter and speak with the financing company to resolve the issue. I've since been ignored both by phone and e-mail and have received a late payment warning from the finance company. I am absolutely disgusted with the response from the dealership which is nonexistent. In these times and with the other reviews posted here I am having to not only question whether my being a minority woman has to do with the dismissal of me as a customer and ultimately as a person. Not to mention the obvious deception and attempt to push costs to the customer in the middle of a pandemic and financially stressful period is abhorrent. I will be following up with the bbb, AG, as well as LR corporate offices to expose this dealership and their fraudulent practices. read more

Worst customer service ever. Salesman Tom seemed completely disinterested in helping us. I have never been treated so poorly from a supposed luxury dealership in my life. I am a surgeon and own two Porsche's and you would think that I was a homeless man the way I got treated. I would never spend a penny at this place. Nobody spoke, gave us info about the cars and even pretended to be interested in making a sale. I was prequalified and drove 45 miles there to confirm the ride we wanted. Complete waste of time. Horrible customer service. They ordered me the wrong part when I supplied them my vin, then tried to lie to me stating they ordered a part for the back not the front but I know that wasn't the case, so then he admitted they ordered the wrong part for a different model. I had a appointment at my mechanic today i had to cancell now they said it will take several days to get. This dealership, in various incarnations. has been around since my childhood. Once upon a time, it was "The Great Britains" in Wynnewood or Ardmore before following the big money out west to Wayne. They're good folks. I'm generally not a new car customer there. I have an old XJ-S and an Land Rover Discovery, and I feel like they give me a pretty fair shake when I need a part or something that really needs to come from the dealer. Now that the new XF has a manual transmission, though, who knows. read more

Stopped in yesterday 3/2 with my wife to buy her a new Velar, she sat in it and loved it, unfortunately we will never return to this dealership. Walked in and there were about 8 salespeople standing around, were not greeted by anyone which i wouldn't expect at a high end dealership and got looked at by a few salesmen and nobody said anything to us, we even walked around one of the Land Rovers that was right next to a salesman sitting at his desk watching us walk around it and he didn't say a word to us. Never come back again, not to mention the rudeness of the tire delivery guy that parked us in and told us we were going to have to wait that couldn't move 5 feet for us to get around him and the staff person in service that said to me well he isn't going to be long, i just wanted out of the dealership since nobody wanted to sell us a car, i guess my cash wasn't good enough to buy here since i was wearing my winter coat, not my suit. Makes sense now since i read another review how your appearance gets attention, i purposely dress down to see if i get treated the same at a dealership when i walk in. This dealership needs to remember that people with money don't always dress up and anyone that walks in could be just shopping them from the manufacturer. Worst service department EVER! I have been there 4x in the last 9 months and they are nothing but rude, belittling and condescending. They are in no way accommodating or helpful either over the phone or in person. During one of the service appointments, they told me it would take about an hour. Sadly, 5+ hours later, I finally left and within 48 hours the issue returned. When I called to tell them the problem wasn't fixed, their response was "well you never told us THAT was the issue so when can you bring it in?" Never an apology or compassion. They could care less about people. Once they sold us the car, it was nothing but AWFUL service and even WORSE custom service. We will NEVER return there again! read more

I have been to this dealership and have always been treated with the utmost respect and dignity. The staff is wonderful! After reading the other reviews that are negative I would recommend looking at that persons other reviews. Noticed one person has given numerous dealerships bad reviews and apparently he has hidden agendas since he said he always dresses down to see how he's treated plus you can tell he has a pompous attitude. Loved the part where he thinks they didn't want to sell his wife a new vehicle, how do you think they stay in business and get paid! One word for him, REALLY!!! read more

I came in as a driver for another dealership. Was dealt with in a timely and professional fashion, they put my tag on my car, and were more than willing to help with a quick safety check before I left (the tire pressure light was on and I didn't want to drive an hour and a half home with a problem).
