I had an absolutely incredible experience working with Ben at Land Rover Southampton. From start to finish, he was everything you'd want in a salesperson. Professional, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely focused on making sure we got exactly what we wanted. We've been to many, many dealerships over the years, and this was by far the best experience we've ever had. Ben not only got us the exact car we were looking for, but somehow delivered even more than we expected, all at a very fair price. The entire dealership deserves credit too. Everyone we interacted with, including the manager, was welcoming, helpful, and easy to work with. You can tell they run a tight, customer-first operation. They really go above and beyond. From refreshments to branded merchandise, they make the whole process feel like a premium experience, not just a transaction. It honestly felt more like being taken care of than being "sold" something. The location is also super convenient, easy to get to, and there's plenty of parking which makes a big difference. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of service at Land Rover Southampton. My window broke and completely fell off the track, and when I reached out for help, the dealership offered no real support or urgency to resolve the issue. For a luxury brand that prides itself on quality and customer care, this was unacceptable. Not only was the problem with the window serious and unsafe, but the dismissive attitude and unwillingness to help made the experience even worse. When you purchase a Land Rover, you expect reliable service and proper customer care -- unfortunately, Southampton failed on both fronts. Negotiated a very fair deal and it was expedited seamlessly on a new Discovery. Michael Heaney was incredibly responsive and helpful and extremely customer service focused. We noticed very tiny spots on the paint after they delivered the car to my house all the way in Nassau county. Michael got in his car and drive out to us an hour later and polished the spots off to perfection. I couldn't believe the level of service and the responsiveness. Took in in for a/c repair, after $6,000 the service advisor called me and said its ready went to pick it up and was only blowing under the seat not the front if you want air blowing from the front vents its another $6000 took my car away ............. read more

When we bought our car from a different dealership we purchased an extra protection plan for the rim and door dings. We were told this service would be honored at any land rover dealership. When it came time to book the appointment, come to find out Southampton is the only dealership around that will not honor this protection package IF it is sold by another dealership. After speaking to the dealership I bought the car from ,Derien Land Rover, they informed me this isn't the first time they've had this happen to a customer with Southhampton. So now I have to drive several hours up island to meet the Derien dealership half way so we can get the promised work done. Not only an extreme let down but a huge inconvenience. I will not be returning to Southampton Land Rover for any reason. Ill find a way to work around them since they can't find a way to work with me. read more

I spoke with many who have worked in that department of Land Rover. They were shocked my vehicle was in so long but also stated that is why they left and work else where . I took my car to another Land Rover dealer to fix my screen on my car. After they had the car for almost 3 weeks, I still had the same problem. I went to Land Rover of Southampton and were able to fix the problem in 1 day. Eric and his team are honest and went above and beyond to fix the problem and make it right. I would like to further expand on from Seths review posted 3 weeks ago. I could not agree more that the lack of customer service is beyond shocking from employees up to management that I spoke with. I purchased the car from a Landrover dealership with the expectation that it came with customer service. Landrover Southhampton fails on all levels when it comes to that. Since purchasing the vehicle from this dealership I have had to take it back 3 times each and every time the phone manners are something that is left to be desired. Im so shocked of the customer service here that I will be aiming further complaints to Landrover direct. Again per Seth complaint below it is not at the level expected for Land Rover. Staff need to take a course in customer service and what is and isn't appropriate to say to people over the phone. if negative stars could be a review they would get 5 from me. read more

I found a 2020 Land Rover Discovery I was interested in at this dealership, and my wife and I called to inquire about its availability online. A salesperson at Land Rover Southampton called us and asked when we would like to check it out in person. Lindsey, the salesperson, was nice on the phone and we setup with the sales person to meet her at the glass entryway at the dealership at 2pm on Friday, Oct 9th, 2020. We drove an hour and half to the dealership and followed instructions, which included knocking on the glass door and waiting for a receptionist to come out, presumably due to COVID19, totally understandable. She asked which sales rep we were looking to see and what our name was. We told her and she said the salesperson will be right out. This is where this experience went downhill. I brought my pregnant wife and my toddler out to get ready to meet the salesperson. They need to see the car we are about to buy, right? We waited. For 10 minutes. For 15 minutes. For 20 minutes. I asked my wife if she might want to wait in the car, because standing outside waiting without a seat for that long might be tough on her feet. My wife said no, "I'm sure the salesperson will come out any minute now". We continued waiting until 30 minutes. We thought the receptionist might come out at the very least, after all we did have an appointment. We got in our car and thought, the salesperson, Lindsey, maybe had some family emergency or something. Why else would a salesperson stand up a customer who is ready to buy? We started driving back on our 1.5 hour journey back home thinking that the salesperson would call to apologize. It's now 7pm. No apology. The sales manager didn't call. I expected atleast a made up excuse, or an act to make it seem as if these people care. Not even that. Do yourself a favor, take your business elsewhere. read more

Before my last visit, I could only speak highly of this dealership and its service department. However the quality of the customer service and work done at my last appointment was beyond disappointing. And I can honestly say as someone who has three to four service appointments a year at the dealership - I will not continue to do business with Land Rover Southampton. To briefly summarize - I was treated poorly by staff, waited five hours without update on the vehicle and am still experiencing the same problems that I paid over a thousand dollars to have fixed. Giving two stars because I cannot say a single poor thing about folks like Michael and Jeremy who have only ever been professional and pleasant. We just purchased our Range Rover from this dealer in Southampton. We had an excellent experience. Because we were purchasing from out of state, there were many decisions and details to go over in advance of our arrival so that we would not be held up in bringing our car home. Loretta, the financial manager, was responsive and informative. We had all the information we needed to make the transaction go smoothly. She took care of everything including direct correspondence with our insurance company. After purchase, we had some concerns about the ABS brake system. The service department was immediately attentive and took the time twice to take us out for a drive to explain some of the unique characteristics of this car. Everyone was great. We recommend this dealership to anyones who in interested in these excellent cars. read more

Realized the inspection on my LR4 was expired while on my drive out to Montauk. Was able to pull in on a late Saturday afternoon and knowing that I was in a bind the service team was able to sneak me in to the shop and provide a valid inspection. If you are worried about the cost, you probably should not own a Land Rover to begin with. The good news is...you get what you pay for here. Knowledgeable, capable service that is on time. With associates that go out of their way to make sure you know what the issues are, how long it will take and the costs. More good news, after getting my car serviced, I have NEVER had to bring it back to be fixed again. They really fixed it and tested it to make sure the fix was correct. Last thing, it is in Southampton, so...drop your car, take one of their bicycles and go to the beach while they fix your car!!! read more

Expanding on last review. Ridiculous, I was told $100 to reset bc only the dealership has the equipment to do it. Its online how to reset yourself: pop hood, keep driver side door open, press brake and gas at the same time. Then when i came back to pick the car up they charges me $75 and $10 because they topped off liquids I never asked them to do. The manager reversed the charge. I get the whole upsell, but have a LITTLE integrity and don't just be a bold face liar!! read more

I was dreading shopping for a new car.....went to 3 different dealerships and Southampton was the last place.... As soon as we walked in we felt really welcomed, our salesperson Ed could not have made the process easy. We knew what we wanted and how much we wanted to spend and he's the first person to listen and give us what we wanted. Just moved to the area and need service on Range Rover. Was a bit concerned after reading the negative reviews but it was my only option. I have to say the my experience was, on the whole, very good. Look, servicing your car is an expensive and depressing proposition. And dealership service is at a cost premium. That said, they know the vehicle, their analysis of the issue and what need to be done -- and did not need to be done -- was frank and, I think, honest. It wasn't cheap. And it probably wasn't the cheapest option. But I left knowing that they had done an expert job, guaranteed their work, and that my vehicle would be reliable and safe for the long term I'd taken it in to prepare for. I'm not sure who the others are comparing LRofS to but, compared to dealerships in Manhattan and Connecticut that I've had previous experience with, I'd say, all in all, they were the best, most professional and most courteous. read more

I have a 7month old car, needs to be brought in for the second time. The first time it took almost 3weeks to get fixed! Now it has to go again.... They won't even give me a loaner vehicle, I will have to go to another service place to get my car fixed. My choice was to bring the car and if they can't fix it, then for me to bring it the following day... Or they can pick it up, but then I would t have a car at all!! We did not purchase a Range Rover and are still in the process of deciding what type of vehicle would be best for us coming off a 39 month lease with a Volvo. However, I have to share a review on Southhampton Land Rover because of an outstanding experience we had with Lindsay, a wonderful sales person at the dealership. Having been through succession of horrible experiences with various dealers in the area, she was a breath of fresh air, knowledge, professionalism, patiance, honesty and courtesy. Thank you Lindsay. Horrible service department. I can't beleve I actually bought a car from them previously. The manager looked down on me. Can you belive it? Anyway, he asked me where I lived and told me to go get it fixed elsewhere. I showed up with my Mother's C300 Mercedes that just needed a tire plugged from a nail. I have two others over $150k plus a Range Rover. My husband called and complained, a general manager extended his apologies to me but on this case apology NOT excepted. This wasn't a misundestanding, I was purporsely treated badly. The receptionist answered me snobbish, I told her I'm on the system " meaning I'm a client of course " she didn't bother to look me up. She said; I would recomend to put air on the tire but that won't fix the problem. Of course not, thanks for nothing.
