Extremely disappointing customer service. I scheduled an appointment to diagnose a check engine light and specifically chose the option to wait until the diagnostic was complete. I did not request a loaner, rental, drop-off, or pick-up. Despite this, I received a call directing me to simply drop off the vehicle, which was not what I agreed to. I had no expectation that the repair would be completed that day--I even arranged a ride home if necessary--but I scheduled the appointment for 8:00 AM so I could comfortably wait for the diagnosis. Unfortunately, neither the service coordinator nor the service manager seemed to understand this. Their approach was disorganized and antagonistic. If you have the option, I strongly recommend visiting another Land Rover service facility. read more

Absolutely the BEST car buying experience I've ever had. Chris was my sales guy and was amazing to deal with! The difference with Land Rover Wilmington as opposed to other LR dealers is they actual treat you like a human being. NOT your typical snooty LR dealer. LR Wilmington will go the distance to get you approved for financing at the best rate possible. HIGHLY recommend Chris in sales. You won't be disappointed! Entire staff from Bob the GM to Matt in finance are amazing to deal with. I drove in from central Jersey to buy my Defender 110 and couldn't be happier. LR Wilmington sets the bar extremely high not only for a LR dealer but any car dealer. Will DEFINITELY be a returning customer. read more

One of my biggest pet peeve's is for someone to lie on me to avoid making themselves look bad! The person working the service desk Donna told my fiancé a bald faced lie when she said that I told her I was going to wait for my fiancé's vehicle. That was an ABSOLUTE LIE. She tried to tell me that my fiancé needed to call to make her appointments as opposed to making them online. Their system is apparently outdated online anyways, because the service writer who she had an appointment with hasn't worked there in quite some time...according to Donna. You show a lack of integrity when you choose to lie about stupid things. Take your own medicine, and don't pawn off your inadequacies onto someone else!! read more

Bait and switch on car parts. This company has a myroverparts.com website Their website lists parts as available and available for shipping. I placed an order. They charged my credit card. Then later, because one of the items was out of stock Android backordered, they cancelled the entire order. When contacted, they claimed that shipping was too expensive for remaining items, even though I had paid for shipping. Then claimed I couldn't buy the parts from them and had to order from my local dealership. They still haven't issued a refund. read more

My vehicle was overheating and I had it towed to the Land Rover of Wilmington; Upon inspection and diagnosis by the technicians at LRM, they determined that my waterpump, hoses, thermostat housing units, and other components needed to be replaced. I graciously consented to the repairs and I was called to kick up my vehicle four days later. Their notes said "that the 'vehicle was road worthy and they could not condemn at other part at the time". Sadly, the very day I went to picked up the vehicle, while driving home, the check engine sign resurfaced and the vehicle again started overheating. I called then and they towed the vehicle back in and called me a day later to pick up my vehicle, again saying that the vehicle was ok and that they adjusted the thermostat. This time, the overheating sign and symptoms didn't return and I reached home safely. The following day, while driving to Philadelphia, the vehicle started overheating even more than it had done before and finally the shut off and refused to start. I again called them and had the vehicle towed at which time they told me that the vehicle's head gasket had burnt and that the cost of repair is 21,370. All throughout this time, they refuse to accommodate me with a rental car, a loaner, and declined to accept responsibility for the rather poor repairs, faulty diagnoses, and poor customer service that ultimately led to the damage of my vehicle. The folks at Land of Rover of Wilmington were very rude to me and treated me in ways that are uncharacteristic of the Land Rover Dealership. Stay away from This DEALERSHIP! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THERE CUSTOMERS OR THE RETURN BUSINESS. THE ONE IN NEW CASTLE IS EQUALLY AS BAD AS THEY COULDNT WRAP THERE MINDS AROUND FIXING THE SENOR EITHER BUT HAD NO PROBLEM CHARGING ME FOR THE EFFORT AND THEN LIE AND SAY ITS FIXED!!!! I was about to sell my LR2 and give up on ever purchasing or recommending Land Rovers to anyone after dealing with the service and management department in Annapolis, MD for 2 years. My faith is restored in the company after working with Todd and the awesome team at Land Rover Wilmington. Not only did he offer me a fair and honest price, but he was also friendly and professional. Todd and the rest of the service team are excellent and made me feel comfortable and confident in them. Their dynamic felt like they were all close friends and even family. Everyone I talked to there was incredibly hospitable and made a stressful situation carefree and easy. They have my business and faith as long as I live within 2 hours of them! A+++. read more

The dealer is not very good at responding to inquiries and phone calls. We are coming out of covid so it is no longer a valid excuse for doing less. Besides, this is a premium auto brand so one might expect a little more. The staff is courteous when you're in person, however they are apparently over worked and overwhelmed. Their phone system has been a mess for over a year now and calls get dropped or callers remain on hold forever. read more

Staff was amazing! Made the torturous process of leasing a car so easy (was our last stop of many and the only dealership that didn't leave us totally frustrated). Bernie was great, is laid back and not pushy at all, lets you 'discover' the car for yourself before answering any questions and explaining all the features so it doesn't come off as a sales pitch. He even walked us through the process of getting all our paperwork straight with registration, license, etc. After the deal was done, the manager came and introduced himself and thanked us, there was no back and forth in negotiations and haggling, it was just totally stress free. I still contact Bernie now and again with questions and he's quick to respond even though his sale is done. Very impressed. read more

Very questionable sales practices. Whether it's true or not, I certainly feel like I've been 'bait and switched' with a reasonably priced vehicle that is for sale on their website. I'm simply trying to buy a car listed for sale and according to both a salesperson and the sales manager it is not available and won't be for an indeterminate amount of time, but two much more expensive vehicles are available right now. I was promised a call back from the sales manager today, and unsurprisingly didn't hear back. It's a shame - I have friends that work in the corporate office in Mahwah as I'm from North Jersey that got me excited about the brand. I'm hoping that LR Wilmington can turn this around. read more

When my LR2 started hesitating on ignition, I worried my battery was getting low. I pulled in unannounced to Land Rover in Wilmington on Easter Saturday. Their service department was closed but the salesman found a technician and he verified my battery needed to be replaced. The parts department was closed so the kind manager checked and found they had one in stock and it's being installed as I type. The whole staff went beyond expectations and I highly recommend this dealership! read more

Extremely unaccommodating. Spent $1,000 for a fix and a week later hasd an issue with the car. Called in to see if i could drop it off and Bill the service manager proceeded to tell me it wasnt an issue they caused when fixing it a week ago (even tho it was an issue from the SECOND i picked it up and never before).. then i asked if i drop it off can i get a loaner car he said NO our store policy is if you didnt buy it here we dont give you a loaner? Excuse me? I bought previous ones there, spent thousands of dollars on service here in the past, and had been working a deal with a salesmen on a white LR4...but, NOW i will NEVER return, back to Land Rover of West Chester where they are professional and give loaners as a courtesy regardless. read more

Absolutely unbelievably great service. I'm from out of town traveling to Dewey Beach for the weekend and I blew out a tire coming over the Bay Bridge. The spare is only for short driving and I was so concerned I would not find a new tire as my Rover Super Sport has the 21 inch rims. I called multiple tire places nearby and no one could even get a tire till Tuesday. Considering I'm leaving Monday this was a huge issue. I then called Land Rover in Wilmington when they opened at 9 am on a Saturday. I got Bill McCoy right at 9 and he informed me that although the Service department was closed that he would find a way to help me out. Literally in minutes he had me with Rob the GM and they both found me the tire I needed. On top of that since I was 100 miles away and concerned about driving that far on the spare, they sent me a flat bed via roadside, picked up my Rover, changed the tire, and flatbedded it back to me at absolutely no inconvenience to me and my kids. Seriously amazingly great service. I can't thank Rob and Bill enough for saving my weekend and helping me out. Thanks guys. You truly are a credit to Land Rover and your dealership. read more
