We were able to park right next to the kiosk, pay, grab our tubes and get right in the river! You must leave keys or photo ID as collateral. The river is amazing! First timer here! Wow, one of the best experiences! Born and raised in Texas, I can't believe I waited to long to come! It'll definitely be an annual trip from now on! All river companies are not the same so take a moment and do a little research. Pulled up on a Thursday and inquired about tubing. There is a sign that says $25 and the guy who came out to greet us said $25 however online it states during the weekday it's $18 cash, $20 credit. His response "I don't work the register" - well maybe we shouldn't be talking to folks then. Asked about where you get on the river and he responded it's a short walk, however if we can't handle the walk, we should rethink tubing. I'm telling ya, customer service needs tweaking. We pay, had to leave an ID but they won't keep your keys, go to grab a tube and I'm telling the chicks I prefer a mesh bottom tube. Her response, they are mixed in and she can't go looking through the pile. Did I mention we are the ONLY customers there. Like there is NO ONE behind us waiting for a tube. We walk down to the river and this is not the easiest spot to get in at. Yes, there are steps leading down to the river but there is no hand rail and you basically have to figure it out. The current seems slower at this point so it took a minute to make it to the next company where the current was moving a little quicker. When we made it out the river, we waited at the pick up for what seemed like forever. We finally had to call the company to ask if someone was able to come pick us up. The customer service needs improving, they should let folks know "when you get out the river, go to your left to the second pick sign to get picked up" as there is another company with a name close to this one and folks were confused as to where their pick up was. read more

Easy peasy tubing experience. I've used LRT 3 times and have had nothing but a great experience. It's a small place with basically just a shack but the parking is free. A quick Walk down to the river, drop your tube in and start floating. At the end of the float the shuttle brings you back. Everyone we've dealt with has been friendly and helpful. So we brought our own tubes and the only thing we paid this company for ($70 for 4 people) was to get back after we floated. Literally all we were asking for was a 3 mile ride home. The guy that picked us up I didn't feel safe letting him driving me. He drove the entire time with the door open and didn't seem to care about traffic laws. When I got on the bus and he went to take off my wristband with scissors, he was shaking the whole time and cut me with them. Didn't even seem to notice or care as he went charging down the aisle of the bus scissors shaking the whole way. I dont know how dirty those scissors are and want to warn everyone as this guy continues to go near people's wrists with sharp objects. read more

Waiting for the bus after the river floating was ridiculous. All of the staff drops curse words, which I do to, but I'm not on the clock. Staff at the admission stand misinformed me that the tube I brought would be suitable for the last two chutes, but not the first one, so get out and walk around. We did. We rode down the second one-- what a mistake. Deflated my friends tube, and my butt slammed against rocks and now is PAINFULLY bruised. If you're looking for a relaxing lazy river, this is NOT it. Everyone BLASTS horrible music, they scream for absolutely no reason, and some are obnoxious with the splashing. Won't be going back. Not at all what I had in mind. read more

Terrible customer service. My friend's tube lost air and was completely flat by the time we finished. It ruined our trip. We asked for a refund of at least her rental, if not both bc our trip was not enjoyable. We were not given a refund or any apologies. We were told that we could've called them for a new tube. My boyfriend and I decided to try landa instead of Texas tubes on our last trip tubing. I'll start ugh my only criticism. Their system seems a little archaic. You have to sign all paperwork by hand, they don't take care of belongings such as phones, just keys. Their way of guarding such items is tagging them with a name. Mind you many people are trying to go through the process at once so they are handling different belongings. On our way back the hut was closed and instead a man was seated on a golf cart handing out keys to their owners. Well they marked my boyfriend's keys incorrectly. However this didn't seem to be a problem as all my boyfriend had to say was "that's mine" and the man handed him the correct key. I don't know what's worse mislabeling or not verifying ownership of a vehicle. That could've been a bad situation. Now for the high notes, the parking is opportun if you agree to float with them. They are very upfront with what to expect and what you need to get your tubes/ life jacket. They inform you how pickup works. All of those things run very smoothly. Additionally, they have a private gated entrance to the river that is very close so you don't have to walk far. Finally, the shuttle does routine pickups so we didn't have to wait long. read more

I had a wonderful experience today renting from this place. I am military and we get $2 off our tubes and my husband forgot his dependent ID but she still allowed us to get the discount on his tube as well. It's a convenient location just a short walk to the river and the shuttle bus driver was nice enough to listen to us being loud and rowdy playing the music that we liked. It was a pleasant experience and will continue to utilize them for future adventures... The only downfall is that on the website they advertised a very large parking lot but it really wasn't but they do have people guiding you where to park so that it is easy to get out read more

This is one of the oldest/original tubing companies in the area. It's a small place and a bit hidden/hard to find, but I would support this small business again over the other large tubing companies with large crowds/lines. There was no wait. The business is run by friendly, honest folks who took great care of us. They had clean tubes that had bottoms on them - perfect for kids and great for not scraping your own bottom on rocks. This place is the worst. First they overcharge, it is out of the way on the Comal yes "tubing longer" but to get to the river is a hassle and it doesn't have handlebars or rails to grasp onto like the main entry. We brought our own tubes (they only half filled them up with air and were deflating so we stopped by Texas Tubes to refill air and they were awesome ! Texas Tubes that is) and it was still 50$ for 3 people for the shuttle. The shuttle is NOT unlimited and charge $5 per drop off after your initial fee. In comparison there are places like Felgers where it's ~35 for three people, always fill your tubes up good, hold your keys for free, and it's unlimited rides to the river. This place is a total scam and has awful customer service on top of it all. Choose better and go to Felgers or somewhere similar. read more

Basically this place is pretty damn stupid and have no common sense. They give you a plastic wrist band (float the river) and a paper wrist band (ride back). WHO GIVES OUT PAPER WRIST BANDS WHEN THERE WILL BE WATER INVOLVED!!! Especially the one that is for the ride back!!! DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. They require someone from your party to leave a drivers license, so I complied and left my property in their care, returned all of their property, only to find out they HAD GIVEN MY DRIVERS LICENSE TO THE WRONG PERSON! When I returned from our trip, the employee attempted to give me the wrong drivers license TWICE. She then informed me that they must have given my drivers license to the wrong person, same last name! NOT ONLY THAT, but we asked to speak to the owner/management since the employees solution was for me to leave and wait for the person to POSSIBLY return my license (mind you they were about to close and I was leaving for home early the next morning, expected to drive now without a drivers license), the employee finally reached out to the owner who refused to speak to me and said she was done for the night. We contacted New Braunfels police who refused to send someone out to file a report, informed us we'd have to file online (just FYI, in new braunfels, that's apparently how you report lost or STOLEN property). I left my number and was told the owner would reach out the following day, when she did not, I contacted them, was STILL not able to talk to the owner. The only employee that was willing to help was one from their RV company. This occurred 5 days ago and owner has yet to reach out and correct the situation/make it right. This was my first tubing experience ever. And I'm so glad we just happened to be with LRT, because they were amazing. When we arrived on N Market St, everything was so parked. But we kept driving all the way to the end and LRT has a special parking area, gated, that is completely free. We then went for the tube rental, and they only charged $10 per tube rental (which includes the shuttle ride). What? Everyone else charged $15! They do sell drinks and alcohol but I must warn you: the new rules say you cannot have disposable containers on the river and there were plenty of river po-po just walking along the river. So if you happen to have a water bottle with you, go ahead and pour all that beer into it. Also, tip of the day: don't forget to bring twine or rope of some sort to tie your tubes together. Unless of course you're going by yourself... and then you shouldn't tie yourself to random people's tubes. But if you are in a group, it is easy to float away or get distracted and then lose your group. Definitely bringing rope next time :-) read more

Disappointed. Bought tube rental with coolers and shuttle passes for 6 and arrived at 2pm on Saturday, August 9 where we were promptly told that there were no more tubes for the rest of the day. Since we weren't from around here we asked were else we could go and he said we could go to a park and swim up the river. By sheer luck we left and saw a bus with a Texas Tubes logo on it an followed the bus to Texas Tubes. This was almost a stone throw away from Landa. It was busy there, but they were able to accommodate the many people in line including the 6 of us with rentals. While I can agree we came later in the day I don't see why we were told that there were no tubes left for the day at Landa. We saw plenty coming in at Texas Tubes from people that ended their tubing trip down the Comal from earlier that day. I'd give Texas Tubes at least 4 stars for accommodating us. read more

On the positive side, I felt Landa River Trips tube rental pricing was competitive. And I was able to park for "free" (with a tube rental) to float the Comal River over Memorial Day weekend. However, my experience with them overall was disappointing and I won't be using their services again. They were completely ill-equipped to handle any sort of crowd over the recent holiday weekend. I don't know if they were simply understaffed or just unable to accommodate the mass of people they had allowed to rent tubes. My friends and I waited nearly an hour to board one of the shuttles to take us from the river exit back to the LRT campground. The employees had no control over the crowd, and the entire situation was chaotic. After being told multiple times that they "were sending more buses" and having the LRT employees board very few people per bus, we gave up and walked back to the LRT campground. I would have been okay with the delay if it seemed that everyone was having problems with crowd control, but the other tube outfitters seemed to have no problems picking up their paying customers. Overall, I wouldn't recommend using Landa River Trips unless they re-evaluated their shuttle system and customer service. read more

5 stars for the price (Groupon). However, it's about a quarter mile trek to the river from where you pick up the tubes (downhill thank goodness). It wouldn't have been too bad if we weren't lugging our kids tubes and an ice chest as well. The river was nice and we had a great time! The shuttle pulled up as soon as we were walking up. Either they are fast or we had good luck. Don't plan on using the showers in the bathrooms. I have read some of the other reviews and I think this place has gone down hill. There were 12 of us that rented 2 campsites and there were several different prices quoted to the folks making the reservations. They were also told different things as far as number of tents/RV's, cars and people per site. Once we got there all of these extra hidden fees started coming out, that were not on their website or quoted when the reservations were made. Additionally their camping spots are under a very active railroad on average a train every 30 mins. They do not have a nice place to put in the river either. I will say that even though their restrooms are on top of hills they are pretty nice. Our group has decided to do float trips on a yearly basis with potentially with up to 30 people, but we will not be returning to this place. They misquote and overcharge and the staff doesn't understand what is going on and do not communicate with each other. My group is not the only ones to have had issues this particular weekend. read more

This was our first time renting tubes and we didn't really know how it worked. The cashier lady was very rude and talked to us like we were dumb. We paid for 8 rentals in 3 transactions and she forgot to give us bracelets for the last transactions (5 rentals). When we went back she pretty much accused us of trying to get free tubes. I felt really disrespected. When we brought the tubes back she was openly complaining about her job to another worker. Although the other staff was awesome, she kind of ruins it for them. read more

OUR ENTIRE GROUP WAS RACIALLY PROFILED WITHIN THE FIRST FIVE MINUTES OF BOARDING THE BUS TO DRIVE BACK TO THE BUSINESS! We (a group of 14) were celebrating an 18th birthday and had just finished tubing the river. As the bus driver begins cutting off our wristbands, we realize that the birthday boy had likely lost his wristband while tubing. After noticing this, the bus driver (an older white man with approximately three brown teeth) proceeds to tell us in an unbelievably rude manner that he needs to get off of the bus because he doesn't have a wrist band, even though he boarded the bus with us (who all had wristbands). After explaining it must have fallen off in the river, the bus driver was still unsatisfied and continued to yell at us for "Holding up his bus and the rest of the people on it". Keep in mind there was 14 of us and only three other customers. We offered to pay the price of a wrist band just to get him to shut up and take us back, but he continued rudely refusing. After unloading the bus, we proceeded to unload our tubes, and the driver begins to yell at one of our group members "SHUT YOUR MOUTH". After this, the four year old in our group began to cry because of how frightened he was. Luckily we were able to ride on the bus parked directly behind. However, the driver was an employee of the same company, witnessed the entire thing, and did not intervene nor reprimand whatsoever. Once we arrived at the business, another employee began unloading our tubes and proceeded to blatantly throw them at us while we had our hands out to grab them, then continued to laugh in our faces. Since we were the last one's there, I made the assumption that they would know we returned the tubes. I thought wrong. When I called to speak with them, they refused to do anything and wouldn't refund the deposit fee. I WILL NEVER and WOULD NEVER recommend a business that hires a teenage manager with an entitlement attitude. The manager had an attitude on the phone and was completely irrational. So, apparently we are idiots because we decided to go tubing today (July 3). I told my husband it would be incredible crowded, but he's stubborn. It took us over 2 and a half hours to actually get to the front of the line, this I know is not their fault. It's probably the busiest day of the year, but I just wish they would have had a sign or something near the front with a guesstimate of the wait. When we got in line, we had no idea that what looked like the front of the line was actually the stairs and that we were only half way through at that point. When we finally feel some sense of accomplishment making it to the front of the line, we are being rung of by a girl who is talking about how the wait is over 2 hours and how she can't believe people are waiting in it. We already felt like sheeple before your comments, thankyouverymuch. Anyhow, tubes were fine, bus was decent, but I actually felt like the ride was shorter than the last time when we went with Texas tubes..even though that's probably not possible.
