Easy peasy tubing experience. I've used LRT 3 times and have had nothing but a great experience. It's a small place with basically just a shack but the parking is free. A quick Walk down to the river, drop your tube in and start floating. At the end of the float the shuttle brings you back. Everyone we've dealt with has been friendly and helpful. Landa River Trips is my go to place for tubing on the Comal.

Dont let the older gentleman cut your hands off. He shakily cut off my wristband and me in the process.

So we brought our own tubes and the only thing we paid this company for ($70 for 4 people) was to get back after we floated. Literally all we were asking for was a 3 mile ride home. The guy that picked us up I didn't feel safe letting him driving me. He drove the entire time with the door open and didn't seem to care about traffic laws. When I got on the bus and he went to take off my wristband with scissors, he was shaking the whole time and cut me with them. Didn't even seem to notice or care as he went charging down the aisle of the bus scissors shaking the whole way. I dont know how dirty those scissors are and want to warn everyone as this guy continues to go near people's wrists with sharp objects.

Waiting for the bus after the river floating was ridiculous. All of the staff drops curse words, which I do to, but I'm not on the clock. Staff at the admission stand misinformed me that the tube I brought would be suitable for the last two chutes, but not the first one, so get out and walk around. We did. We rode down the second one-- what a mistake. Deflated my friends tube, and my butt slammed against rocks and now is PAINFULLY bruised. If you're looking for a relaxing lazy river, this is NOT it. Everyone BLASTS horrible music, they scream for absolutely no reason, and some are obnoxious with the splashing. Won't be going back. Not at all what I had in mind.

    Soooo much fun

You definitely get your money's worth here. Parking is included and the route is one of the longest on the Comal.

The Comal, unlike the Guadalupe, is deep enough that you never have to scrape your butt or get up and walk.

They have an air conditioned portable bathroom trailer that is decent. 6 stalls in the women's room and they were fairly clean. The summer heat had them smelling a little funky, but I'm not sure what can be done to fix that. The staff was friendly. The school bus ride back to the starting point after the float was nostalgic. For a moment, it took me back to feeling like we were on a school field trip. We definitely see ourselves coming back but at least bringing our own floats for our coolers to cut down on the expense. We had a large group with 2 coolers so it was $50 just to bring our coolers along.

They do have a decent size portable bathroom, which was nice. My only complaint is that they should keep the water on inside them a little longer. We got back to the beginning around 4:30 and went to use the bathroom before heading out, but the water was already turned off. The float itself was actually painful. There are SO many rocks that you constantly hit and scrape your rear end against, and it gets pretty uncomfortable after a while. I'm not sure if I'll be back to this location just because this particular section was so rocky. Overall, it was fun, but definitely bring some extra money and be prepared for a rocky ride!

According to Curt C, this page is based on the first chute at Prince Solms Park. I went through 3 chutes during the entire tubing experience. The first chute is still on the park ground. That was really fun, if you are a swimmer. I have seen people tumbling down into the river at the end. I watched few TikTok videos the day before going tubing. I know not to tie with other tubers. Because it will automatically tumble down and flip the tubes with whomever is on it. Since this was my first tubing experience, I didn't document the location of each chute. The first and second ones were approximately 5 minutes apart. The 3rd chute was so minor, there wasn't anything spectacular about it. After seeing a bridge, the final public exit was ahead. I paddled hard because my friend got motion sickness, we had to end the trip as quickly as possible. The whole excursion lasted less than 2 hours. My belly and knees were sunburnt like a lobster, even with layers of sunscreen. If you asked me, yeah, I would do it again.

People parked (I…read morethink illegally?) in the university lot and I had no issues but I paid $5 on the QR code anyway to be safe. Tubes are $25 and come with shuttles. Bring your own tube and shuttle costs $15. Lockers are $5 for small and $10 for large and you have to wait for the staff so make sure you put everything in or take everything out in one go, ideally. Takes a while to buy individual tubes with the waiver so I'd buy your whole group at once if possible. There are small restrooms that are expectedly dirty for people floating the river. Most of the tubes were fine, somewhat dirty but got the floating job done. Lastly, this is unrelated to Lions Club, but it's about 25% of the people that actually follow the can ban and 75% probably aren't while we were there. Honestly ridiculous - just go buy a 64oz Igloo at Academy, it's $15. The tube rental is literally more expensive. We came with two Igloos a pop (one for water) and an extra tube for coolers. It's ridiculous that they have people kayaking picking up litter. Do better, folks.
