Corner Tubes is located right across from Prince Solms Park where the tubing activities start. I like the location. It's easy access and the offer hotel pick up. The bus was really comfortable, although the ride was short. They offer tubes that are bottomless or with bottoms. I heard the water was shallow, I chose the one with bottom. I certainly don't want my bottom kissing the bottom of the river. I went to tubing with a group of my bear friends from Houston. We had a blast in the Comal River. But I had a different experience than them. My friend and I got off the river earlier than my group. We were picked up from the last public exit and brought to the shop to wait on the bus. The driver kept updating me on the status. We heard the bus broke down at one point. Okay. No problem. The New Braunfels sun was shining at us for about an hour. Finally, a windowless van picked us up and dropped off at the hotel. Even with minor glitch, I would come back to get my tube at Corner Tubes. read more

This place was friendly and patient, close to launch point, and clean. We brought our own tubes and filled them for free. Afterward, I realized we were really close to get in/get out point that we probably could have saved some money and not taken the shuttle. However, Corner Tubes made things smooth and easy. This place doesn't answer question on the street because they have the front desk scam you, charge you 25 dollars just for one time around the river but never tell you it's 32$ until you want to go again. Terrible. Upon arrival everything seemed fine, i paid and they gave us wristbands. They said for a one time ride on it, I asked multiple times to see if I could upgrade to an all day pass, they assured me that the wristband was for all day because they had a special since it was a Monday and it was a bit slow when we arrived, around 1-1:30pm. This white van arrived with a trailer in the back, the put the tubes in the trailer and we get in the front, TERRIBLE, no seat belts, no windows, if there was a bump we could've fallen out. They drop us off at the entrance with our tubes, our ride was amazing and took about an hour and a half. We finished at 4 and stopped at pick up. The driver arrives and that's when it gets worse, we advised him we would like to ride again, he got very upset and changed his tone stating they closed at 7 and to hurry up and ride again to be back by then, we were confused as the first ride only took a max of an hour and a half so we would be done way before then. He agreed to take us back since we paid already, but we wanted to stop at the main office so we could grab our icebox really quick with our waters because an hour and a half in the heat is draining. That made him more upset and he goes off stating that takes way too long and it then turns into 30minutes to an hour, yet the plan was for just my husband to get out grab the box and come back in. He took us back to get the icebox but the whole time kept giving reminders of what time to hurry up and be done at, when we arrived at the office more people were booking tubes still, so he would've had to wait and pick them up too if we had went down again. After getting the icebox he takes us to the entrance and reminds us again to hurry it up. We were exhausted after all of that so we stayed in the front and played in the water a bit but didn't end up going back down, after 40minutes we called and asked to be picked back up at the entrance since we had six tubes and a small child. They stated they couldn't do that and only pick up at exit. They expected us to walk all the way back with our tubes, my daughter can't hold her own and I have back injuries so I wouldn't be able to carry it that long. Pulled in and they wrote up the ticket and took my driver's license before they told me that parking was a block away (it was actually 4 blocks away with no shuttle). Had to pay $20 to park far away. Then we had to walk a long ways to get to the river. Not a great place to tube from (especially when similar services are directly on the river). read more

No complaints from me. Me and friends came here over labor day weekend 2016 and got the all day pass. The pass and the straps for my sunglasses cost me $20. Not too bad. We also rented a cooler for our drinks and a tube to float the cooler on. There were six of us and we came in two different cars - one being large SUV and the other being a large pick-up truck. We both pulled into the small parking lot that they have and were able to park inside. I didn't drive so I can't say if we had to pay or not. All I can tell you is that the driver didn't pay the guy who's directing traffic. I can also tell you that another couple joined us later that afternoon and had to park off-site and had to pay $10. So take that into consideration when you're coming here. It was labor day weekend so there was a pretty good crowd. However, the line was moving pretty quickly. The same can be said about the line to go get your tube. As stated above, we all bought the all-day wristband. This turned to be about three times floating down the river (approximately 1.5 hours each time depending on the water current) before we all got sunburned and drunk. No issues with the shuttle/bus/van getting us from Corner Tubes to the river entrance or from the river exit back to Corner Tubes. The longest we had to wait was the 3rd time going back to the river where we had to wait approximately 15 minutes before a bus would show up. The cooler that we rented was pretty crappy. The handles were broken, which means you would have to carry it on your shoulder, or bear hug it in front of you. This is an inconvenience since carrying it on your shoulder means you'd have to walk from the bus to the river carrying 50-lbs on your shoulder. Please buy better coolers, Corner Tubes. They're not that expensive. It's not like we're demanding Yeti Coolers, you know? If you buy the all day pass, you will have to get a tube and then return it before you can go again. This means: (1) pay (2) get tube (3) float (4) return tube (5) go back to the cashier and get tube ticket (6) get tube and so on, and so on, and so on. You can turn in your car key at the cashier so it doesn't get wet or get lost in the river. If you're wearing sandals, make sure they have straps or there's a 99% chance you will lose them. The same goes with your sunglasses. Buy straps or wear faux-ban instead of a RayBan. I personally bought water shoes from HEB (they're crappy but they're cheap and I could just toss them out after) and bought the straps (see picture). The last time I went tubing and not use straps, I lost my $300 Gucci sunglasses in the river. Never again!! All in all, I had a good time on the river and no issues with Corner Tubes. I would rent tubes from them again. read more

Just no. Inconvenient. Not everyone is on the same page about operations at this business. Came here not too long ago to float the Comal River with my buddies, we had our own tubes with us and just needed to find parking for our car. We pull into this business and they charged us to park our car in their lot for $10. It was a decent deal. They took my friends DL and held on to it until we returned which seemed a bit odd. The parking was also not next to the place of business since there is no space but they gave us directions to their secondary lot not too far away. We park our car at the designated lot and by the time we get there the shuttle that takes you back and forth from the lot to the river had just left. We didn't mind since it was not too far, so we walked. We have a great time on the river, it comes time to get out at the final exit of the Comal. We were told that our parking fee included a shuttle back to Corner Tubes. When we arrived at the Corner Tubes bus top the bus driver would not let me and my friends on the bus because we did not have wristbands. We were never given wristbands however we were told from Corner Tubes the shuttle was included. The bus driver did not let us get on so we walked back from the end of the river to the parking lot. None of us were happy and the walk really killed my buzz. We went back to Corner Tubes to reclaim my buddies DL. Again, get your employees including your bus drivers on the same page about your operations. read more

Don't really have any complaints with our experience here over the weekend. We got our tubes, they weren't the cheapest but they worked. We left our keys as collateral, we rode down on the motorcycle so they were nice enough to store our boots and helmets that couldn't fit on the bike. A short walk and you are to the mouth of the river, and we had a leisurely float...the shuttle was there to pick us up afterwards. It all worked out pretty well, everyone working there was very nice. I am not sure if this would have been the case if it was busier...but it was a good time! read more

This place is a scam and racist. The normal parking lot to the river was packed so we saw this child waving a flag. We asked him how much the parking was. He said "IDK" because depending if you're white or not is what they'll charge you. We just wanted a place close by so we turned around and pulled in. Another child, I guess there is no limit for child labor in this state, said "were full," but there were 3 parking spaces and we drive a tiny car so that was the second incident of subtle racism, but an actual customer said he was leaving so we got moved into his parking spot. When we got to the counter another child troll was solemn and rude to us. We asked her how much parking was. $25 she says then she proceeded to blatantly lie to us stating if we didn't rent tubes from her for $60 there was nowhere else. I said I don't think so. She couldn't even look me in the eyes from her deliberate lies. Sorry honey, but we've been here before. The actual river charges $2 for entry and $7 to rent a tube. I said no thank you. When her kind walked up next to the counter her face suddenly glowed and she was smiling and ecstatic to serve them! I told my friend to get a receipt cuz I don't trust any of the scum here, but she said she sent it to her email. We check our phones and lo' and behold. She charged $26 so we go back to her and she makes up some BS excuse about the computer does it automatically. Oh no! The computer must be Skynet. If your shit company charges a surcharge for credit cards put a sign up. Either way disgusting treatment and I will NEVER recommend these scumbags. The only reason I didn't go "Karen" was because my friend didn't want an ordeal, but RACISM is NOT acceptable! read more

We come here a couple times every summer. The rates are decent, there's usually parking if you get there early and they have a larger lot down the street a couple blocks. Easy walk to the river and then they'll shuttle you back after your float. The staff here are high school kids, so don't expect attentive customer service and you won't be let down. read more

When we arrived everyone seemed helpful, we left our belongings along with our ID to rent a tube, and after being dropped off proceeded up the river. That's when the problems really started. About a quarter of our trip down the river we noticed one of our tubes had a leak. The result of this was basically my wife having to more or less swim the remaining way. When we were picked up by our shuttle driver he indicated that the manager would be understanding and at the very least would try to accommodate our misfortune in some way. This however couldn't be further from the truth. The manager/owner ( I believe his name was Matthew) was not only dismissive but not understanding at all. First he said because of where the puncture was located it wasn't our fault, and that if it was our fault they would have charged $100, understandable since it wasn't our fault. Then when we asked if we could get some type of credit he goes on to make it seem like he's doing us a favor by not charging us ( after continuously saying it wasn't our fault and he would not charge). He tried to double back and say that he should have charged us. Dude which is it. If you truly value your customer service offer some type of incentive to come back. We would have been more that happy to continue our business with them if they at least seemed sympathetic to our plight. Too many tubing renters offering the exact same service to have such poor customer service. Honestly the only reason for the two stars was because the driver was really cool. read more

Do not come here. The shuttle never came and we waited 25 minutes. I thought they offered floatable coolers but turns out you have to pay $20 for an inconvenient cooler INSIDE a tube, which of course didn't even fit properly. I would recommend saving a ton of money by just bringing your own tube and ubering back to your car. read more
