    Chicken Marsala

Found a restaurant close to Norma Terris theater. It ended up a very good meal. Janet, our very friendly waitress, was very attentive and the owner Sal even came over to check on us. We all enjoyed our food. We started with clams casino..a little pricey for 5 small clams, but they were tasty. The Nashville hot chicken was a huge sandwich .. so big I am taking half home. My friend tried the special which was braised short ribs. Two of the three ribs were well prepared but one had a bit too much fat making it inedible. The chicken parm and chicken Marsala were both hits. We all enjoyed our drinks especially appreciating the $5 Blu Moon and $7 Two Roads . We love to try new places. Glad we chose this one .

    Amazing plate of yumminess!!!

Had the porkchop with cheesy mashed potatoes and flame seared tomatoes.... Delicious!!! Always a great meal from Chef Mike. Porkchop was seasoned and cooked to perfection! And Courtney, the bartender, always makes you feel right at home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Smiles and great fun when we are at Landing & Main![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Fish sandwich , sweet potato fries. The burger plate looked identical to this except it was a burger instead of a piece of fish .

Found this place online for a late lunch/early dinner after doing some shopping in the area. It was an unusually warm day for March, & it showed that they had outside seating, plus menu items that appealed to us. The photos we saw on Google looked great. We arrived...and the outside seating turned out to be a small patio adjacent to the parking lot. All the outdoor tables were dusty and dirty, obviously not being used. Ok, understandable, it's March. We went inside. There were maybe a half dozen people at the bar who appeared to be regulars. That's it. Nobody at any tables. It WAS a weekday afternoon (Thursday) so we didn't think much of it. The place did not look as new & fresh as it did in the online photos, but it was ok. Our server was the bartender who greeted us when we walked in. My partner decided on some kind of steak tips over crostini dish which the server/bartender recommended, it was a "special" that day, not on the menu. I just ordered the fish sandwich and sweet potato fries. And we waited. And waited. I was hungry. Contemplated leaving. AT LEAST 30-40 minutes went by, and the server finally came over- to tell us that they couldn't find any bread so they couldn't make the steak tips/crostini dish! Wow. She was very nice, and apologetic, but it was still kind of ridiculous. WHY did it take so long to inform us they were out of that item? The food came a little while after that and it wasn't great. The fish was ok, but it tasted like it was frozen not fresh. Same with the sweet potato fries, definitely a frozen product just heated up. Partner's burger was alright, but he said the bun seemed a bit stale (I didn't eat mine). The server did end up comping us for his meal, I guess she felt bad for the wait; so at least we didn't spend a ton. Just overall not great, and I felt like the pics on their website are a little misleading? It looked like a higher end restaurant with great fresh food, and it definitely wasn't that .

    Lobster bisque

I went to this place because of convenience since it was pretty close to where we were in the area. We went early afternoon and it was not busy at all so we were seated right away. We were a big party of about 10 people and they were able to accommodate for that amount but I don't see it working when it's busy, but it just might. Ordered for apps the lobster bisque which was okay not a lot of flavor, just ok. For my main I got the chicken cutlet sandwich. I asked for cheese because it doesn't come with it. I thought the sandwich was pretty dry and they toast the bread for you just as a heads up for those like me that don't like their sandwiches with toasted bread. Someone in my party ordered the Buffalo wings, which had flavor but were a bit too salty for my taste. I did try the French onion soup from my boyfriend and that was pretty good. Overall, this place has a wide variety of things to choose from which is good for parties that have different tastes, but I don't see myself coming again if I'm in the area.

Fabulous service, generous portions, fun cocktails. It's pretty warm in the dining room, but it was a rainy night. Highly recommend.

Here's how things went for me during my visit. Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right on the Connecticut River in Chester, CT connected to its own marina is this gem. Reservations are recommended especially in the summertime since THIS is the place where you wanna be. We were here in early April so things hadn't quite picked up, but at least the snow was gone and we didn't need to wear super heavy coats. The parking lot is massive so if it's busy you'll be walking for a minute before you get to the door. But once inside it's pretty modern, chill and relaxed. The decor isn't over-the-top. Everything is straight-edged and just... almost minimalistic. However, we sat in the patio area that was certainly heated so we could see the view of the water while the sun set. It was a wide-open setting and I'm very glad the restaurant didn't smash too many tables and chairs in there. Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but I don't remember having any issues throughout dinner. It was fairly slow so I didn't expect any hold-ups. Food/Drinks: I started off with an old-fashioned which was fine. Nothing crazy. Next up was a New England clam chowder which is perfectly seasoned and flavorful. Textures were good and so were the seasonings. Spot-on. For dinner I went with their Prime Rib! It came out perfectly medium-rare with a side of fingerling potatoes, grilled squash, au jus and horseradish sauce. It was good. Just... kinda not exciting. :-/ Maybe I should've gone the seafood route since we were on the water. But no matter. Value: Not too crazy here. It's a nice restaurant, but prices aren't out of control. You can totally come here to chill, have a drink and an app or a full-on family dinner and not be upset at the final bill. In conclusion I liked it here, just not enough to want to drive all the way out here again. Would I come back? Sure, if I were invited by friends and stuff, but I highly encourage you reading this to pay this place a visit and enjoy the views! Thank you for reading.

Inside they had a live band with music which I thought was lovely but we decided to sit outdoors for the views instead. We sat down to and i started with the watermelon spritz to drink and it was refreshing and so pretty! It came with a flower on top and it tasted like summer in a glass. Since it was late I wanted something light to eat and found the scallops and succotash. They were absolutely exactly what I was looking for. The waitress was so kind and checked in multiple times during our dining experience. There was corn-hole and games along the water and extra picnic tables where you could extend your stay a while. The whole evening was so relaxing and I didn't feel rushed. But to be honest, The only thing that rushed us out was the beetles that came later at night, lol so just something to think about when eating outside by the water. Other than that, the evening was just what a summer night should be!

We chose the latter in a corner window right by the falls. The service was outstanding. From the moment we arrived, to helping us find our seat, to our server helping us with the menu, to the manager coming over and talking with us to make sure everything was ok. I liked how the server first checked to see if we had any time restraints along with food allergies, etc. Speaking of the food. We started with the clam chowder and scallops. The chowder was the best I've ever had. Plenty of meat and seasoned perfectly. The scallops were amazing. The manager later told us that the scallops were the only thing that had been on the menu since day one. They tried to rotate them off once and the people went nuts. We moved on to the duck and salmon. Both were delicious. Sides were perfect as well. I'd love to write about dessert, but unfortunately, we were stuffed. The location overlooking the river is nice, so many more better places around.

This place was great about connecting and making the meal more enjoyable. Our server was a young lady named Nicole. She was passionate about the food and knowledgeable and down to earth. The food was EXCELLENT but elevated even more by the service we got from the servers and manager. Our steak was cooked perfectly. My wife enjoyed the $1 happy hour oysters in the bar area. This place was just as enjoyable as a fine dining experience at a high end place like Flemings. In fact, this was better than Flemings location in West Hartford. We wanted a place that had sushi and steak and we found this place. Everything we had was over a 9/10 for us. The pimento Mac n cheese was so good as a side dish. The 30 day aged rib-eye was so good as a main course. We did give feedback about the crispy rice appetizer being too crispy and they just straight up comp'ed us for it. We weren't even trying to get it for free but they were so on top of everything. If you have a date night or special occasion, please consider this place. I will definitely return.

My personal favorites were the oysters (so fresh!) and the truffle fries, which were dangerously good. We also shared the croquettes and the crab cake, and both were packed with flavor. To end the night, we treated ourselves to the crème brûlée cheesecake, which was the perfect sweet finish. Great atmosphere, great food, and the kind of place you want to keep coming back to. I'm already planning my next visit. Bonus: Monday through Thursday they offer $1 oysters and $8 martinis , and they also have a $69 prix fixe menu that's definitely worth trying.
