Great hidden gem! Tucked away, the Red Fox Restaurant offers an elevated dining experience without having to go very far. The menu has a great selection and the wait staff were attentive. We split the avocado and crab appetizer, then had the salmon and shrimp and scallops. All were excellent - fresh and nicely prepared.

Another exceptional evening at Red Fox. We began at the bar and took full advantage of their fantastic happy hour, enjoying $1 oysters, 75‑cent clams, and half‑price martinis made with Tito's vodka--truly one of the best happy hours around. We then moved into the dining room for dinner, where the lamb chops once again proved to be the standout dish on the menu--simply outstanding. We also enjoyed the ribeye steak and two pasta dishes, both generous in portion and full of flavor. A lovely bottle of Napa Valley wine, paired with live music and even a bit of dancing, made the evening especially memorable.Service was excellent throughout the night. Our waiter, Fico, was attentive and professional, and Manager Edo clearly runs a top‑notch team of true professionals who are at the top of their game. We will most definitely be back to this wonderful restaurant.

Enjoyed a family birthday dinner at Red Fox. We were greeted warmly upon arrival for our 6:00pm reservation and seated quickly. It was a slow Wednesday evening, but lovely. As always, food and service were great. Our waiter, Ennis, was awesome!! We enjoyed fried calamari as an appetizer. Our entrees were perfectly prepared including two NY Strips and a steak au poivre. The potato croquettes were also awesome. We will continue to go back.

We came Saturday to see Marty Q but turns out he was playing in the bar instead of the dining area where we made a reservation. Dining room had a nice ambiance so we decided to stick with our table in the restaurant. Dinner started with a really nice trio of different flavored butter. Bread was meh. I would upgrade that a bit. It was also way too much for the two of us so a bit wasteful. I got the Red Fox signature salad which was absolutely delicious. Ceasar salad looked ok. Nothing fancy or special about it. Salads are a good size. Could definitely split those. Entrees are where things went wrong. My octopus (which I had for my entree) was completely burned on the underside and the chipotle hummus listed with the dish was missing. My boyfriend got the salmon and the risotto...I felt...was not good at all. We then had to hunt down our waitress to let her know about my octopus. They brought back another one fairly quickly, but this one was mushy and could've been cooked longer. They were nice enough to take that off the bill. The menu is pretty nice so maybe I'd come back and try something else. There are so many good restaurants out there though so might be awhile before we return if at all.

I went here with a party of 17 and they were really accommodating. We did have a reservation so definitely need to make one for large groups like that. Surprisingly no one's order was messed up with such a big group which was wonderful. All the food that we tried was delicious including the Red Fox salad which was delightfully refreshing, the buffalo chicken balls, and the calamari which was crispy but not drenched in oil. For the meals, I tried the blackened chicken fettuccine which was a large portion and absolutely delicious! The chicken and beef tips over mashed potatoes were also delicious. The tiramisu for dessert was really great, and often I don't like tiramisu but this one was really creamy and delightful. There is a good amount of parking and a bar area if you prefer bar seating. They also have a patio in the warm months. Overall, I'd go here again!

Came here for happy hour with my sister to celebrate her moving to Connecticut. I had heard good things about this restaurant so finally found the opportunity to try it. We sat at a table by the bar and got a few drinks and appetizers. Everything was tasty and the ambiance was nice.

What a nice birthday dinner we celebrated! The restaurant had a cute and cozy vibe. Decorated for the season but not overdone. We started with cocktails. ( they have at least 50 bourbons to choose from-nice!) A couple of us had bourbons and a couple of us went with martinis. Yum. Baileys, crème de menthe and vanilla vodka. Not on the menu but they made it for us. They brought out some nice warm bread with a pepper jelly/olive oil dipping sauce which was good. We skipped apps cuz-dessert. Lol We ordered Rack of lamb Filet Mignon Two orders of the NY strip Sides were baked potatoes Everything was delicious and cooked to order. The meal and drinks were pretty filling but we shared dessert Crème brûlée And a chocolate dessert I can't remember the name of. We were very lucky to have had Leslie as our server. She was wonderful! Cheerful and sweet, efficient and checked on us as needed. Def will go back!

Had a great time at Sunday Brunch today. The food and the service were amazing. Eldin did an amazing job providing us with everything we needed he was professional and very nice. They have a nice patio area where we wanted to sit but they had a private party. Overall a must visit we will be back!!

I just have to say I love this restaurant the food is excellent especially the steak well seasoned cook to perfection I had the 14 oz Prime New York Strip for 50$ you can't go wrong . My husband had the baked beef tenderloin tips and risotto it was outstanding we can't wait to go back . We also ordered the Oysters which was fresh plump and juicy . And I had to try the Mediterranean Lamb & Beef cigar wow they were delicious . We sat at the bar and our server was super attentive which was impressive because it was very busy. Atmosphere was classy and casual. You can get all dolled up or you can be dressed down. Just a wonderful experience.

I have been to Red Fox four times and absolutely love it! The two times i have been there for dinner, we sat outside on their patio. I highly suggest ordering a bottle of wine (red is my recommendation), and the steak is superb! I also went there for two events and went to their upstairs room. At the most recent event, they had a buffet of brunch foods, with the pasta and the garlic rolls being the best of the selection I got to try. They also make a mean tequila sunrise!! The service all four times I have been there is excellent and the staff are super attentive! I highly recommend this for a fancier night out! They also have a pretty expansive and beautiful bar!

Caught the last hour of happy hour on a Saturday! It was a sunny day, we had the bar area to ourselves since people were taking advantage of the patio. There is a good amount of food options and they all sounded tasty. Of course, I had to do the garlic parm wings. I was also in the mood for something crunchy, so we did the house chips that comes with Gorgonzola dip. To my surprise, a complimentary bread basket was also served. Typically, a bread basket comes with oil, Parmesan, etc. Here, it was more of oil mixed with a salsa? I'm sure there is a name for it, but it escapes me right now. I could eat it all by itself, and at some points I did. When the wings came out, my eyes grew two times. They came out hot & are quite jumbo and you get 10 wings. Not bad for $12. The chips were house chips, The Gorgonzola was delish. Nice and stinky as it should be. Once the chips were done, some Gorgonzola was leftover to try with the wings. A nice combination. For drinks we did a couple of wines from the happy hour menu. Then, while checking out the main menu, I saw a pistachio tiramisu martini! Before finishing my wine, I ordered it. And oh boy was I ecstatic when it came out. The color was beautiful! Reminded me of the clear ocean waters found in the islands. To top it off, literally, a biscotti was balancing on top. The flavors were spot on. I could taste the pistachio and the creaminess of the tiramisu. It's definitely a must try and a go-to every time I come back to this Red Fox.

The bread and [frozen] butter made it a bit hard to manage but there was so little good bread it didn't matter. The two Caesar salads were large and fresh and contained good cheese shavings. Mine was dressed properly but companion's was a bit wet. The mashed potato side was excellent but the broccoli was not crisp and not hot enough. The tomahawk cut of meat was very good and presented off the bone [which was taken home as an upcoming art project]. It was cooked medium rare and crusted beautifully. Two affogatos made to my simple preference [not the over-done creation on the menu]. All in all a very good meal and a true bargain for what was offered. The service was excellent even as he dining room began to fill up. I think every table had ordered the Tomahawk for Two. As I mentioned in an earlier review, the ambiance reminds me of a private club somewhere in central Europe. Thanks to the chef and waitstaff for a delightful evening.

We were seated quickly at a nice table with a white tablecloth, which gave it a more polished feel right away. There were TVs around showing the NFL Draft and UFL, which was nice to have to keep up to date on sports. The person I was with did wonder why the Knicks playoff game wasn't on, though. I ordered the Oven Roasted Norwegian salmon, and it was excellent. Really crisp on the outside while staying moist inside, it was exactly I like it. It was served over a bed of fresh vegetables with a salsa verde sauce that tied everything together really well. For dessert, I got the cheesecake. It looked small at first, but it was very filling. It came with a strawberry and a side of fresh whipped cream. The flavor was a little unique, not as sweet as I expected, but it worked really well. The service was good throughout the night, too. My happy hour dirty martini with a house potato vodka was better than I expected. I ordered pasta with vodka sauce and my husband had pasta Bolognese. Mine was very good. My husband enjoyed his meal. The restaurant was fairly empty at the time we were there. I walked around, it has a steak house feel. Dark, tasteful, a nice wooden ceiling, slightly stuffy vibe, plenty of wine and bottles on display. Now for the nitpicking. For an upscale restaurant, they don't pay attention to visual details. I was in the building to visit another restaurant that does not take reservations, but the wait was too long so I stopped by red Fox prime steakhouse for happy hour. I was served an excellent martini by the bartender Missy, but did not find any happy hour food that interested me that evening. She was quick to point out that they also had a bar menu and I decided to try the chickenParmesan small plate. Priced at only $10. This might be the best bargain in town. A rather generous portion of chicken served with spaghetti mix for a lovely meal. Specially when you add one of the delicious salads or apps. Recommend the meatballs and the roasted beet salad. I have only sat in the bar area, so I cannot comment on the restaurant ambience, but where I did sit was both comfortable occasionally quite lively. I got the pasta à la vodka with chicken, and my girlfriend got the pesto gnocchi chicken dish. Everything came fast, warm, and fresh- cooked to perfection. We also got the cheese garlic bread as a starter, which was delicious and the perfect size as to not spoil your dinner. Finally, we split an order of the chocolate lava cake which was one of the tastiest desserts I'd ever had. Now, onto the even more impressive details. First things first, calling in, and then changing the time for our reservation was very easy, and the man who picked up the phone seemed very excited to have us coming in to the restaurant. Upon arrival, it was clear the host (Jimmy) was the same person on the phone, as he remembered my name and was immediately incredibly hospitable and friendly. Jimmy asked me and my girlfriend how long we'd been together, and we told him "2 years today!" This at first seemed like typical small talk on the way to the table (which I should mention was arguably the best seat in the house, a table right by the front window in a nice quiet area of the restaurant), but I was quite impressed when the first thing our server, Vincent, said to us a few minutes later was "Happy anniversary." Vincent was very helpful and made sure to circle by our table frequently enough to make sure we had everything we needed, but not to the point where it was unnecessary- perfect!! As you can see in the attached image, our lava cake came with a nice happy anniversary message, and I'd like to remind you that this was all just from us mentioning it to Jimmy, once on our way in. We were treated to some goodies to take home separate from what we ordered, as well as a nice half off discount on the parking lot up the street. And it was to my great surprise and graciousness that when I peeked at the bill, our dessert was missing- based on the service we received, I would be surprised if this was a mistake. In summary, our trip to Salute was nothing short of a 5 star review. Excellent food, clean bathrooms, calm and friendly atmosphere, and I do not understate this when I say that the service was IMPECCABLE. Thank you very much to Jimmy, Vincent, and Salute as a whole for a wonderful evening- we will be back.
