Ice cream was good. We got the apple pie stack shake but they ran out of the apple blossom mini pies to go on top so they let us choose which big topping we could put on. I appreciate that they give you the rest of the shake in the cup they made it in so it doesn't go to waste and you get all the shake you paid for! Tables and everything inside was clean, plenty of seating but it does get busy on major holiday weekends. I wish the apple pie ice cream and shake had more apple pie flavor. It's barely there to be honest, but the ice cream itself was yummy. Glad to see a nice ice cream store by them all the way up in Payson! And of course you can buy their different milks.
I. LOVE. THIS. PLACE. A must stop anytime we are in Payson! You just feel good when you walk in... like it's 1958 and the world is a more simple, peaceful place. We always buy a glass 1/2 gallon bottle of chocolate milk. It's so creamy and fresh tasting! Worth every penny. Their milkshakes are the same way - they just taste nostalgic- nothing artificial, just the good stuff. Pure, simple, and delicious. Service is always friendly and the interior is pleasant. Stop in. You'll want to come back.
The house made ice cream here is creamy and delicious! We love supporting local businesses! The staff was all friendly. We ordered a flight of milkshakes and they were 8oz each. The regular size is 16oz. There is plently of tables and seating in doors, along with a couch.
We were looking for a Pilates studio and decided to drop into the dairy. It's a big place but not a Lot of tables or chairs. They had banana milk , strawberry, chocolate and regular milk. Someone said their fresh lemonade is really good. We decided to buy some ice cream to take home. It is not cheap. I think we had black walnut. To be honest it was a little icy but after it Sat for awhile it was creamy. It was good but not for the price. They also have egg nog. It looked good. By the way the Pilates studio is right next door. Go figure. You workout so you can indulge in ice cream

This place has one of the best milkshakes I have ever had! It looks and tastes phenomenal. Added bonus- it feels very fresh since they are a local brand with this store and one in Laveen in AZ. Other fast food shakes kind of make you feel super full and gross sometimes but this one is not that way for me. A pleasant surprise in Payson! I will never hesitate to stop by when in the area.

Was in Payson during the holidays & our friends had some of Danzeisen Dairy's Apple Juice/Cider. It was absolutely delicious. Whether you drink cold or hot it's pure deliciousness. Our friends also mentioned how great everything they've purchased there has been amazing. We look forward to trying other items on our future visits. No personal experience with in store or staff but the product did not disappoint.
On our way back to Tempe, we stopped by the store with the sky-blue walls, large glass windows, and signage touting the freshest milk and shakes. This dairy does sell milk across Arizona, New Mexico, and Southern California grocery stores, but I was craving some ice cream. I ordered a single scoop of butter pecan along with a half gallon of whole milk for the weekend. The flavors of the butter pecan were incredibly rich and indulgent. We also got to sample the seasonal milk flavors which included root beer and egg nog both of which were uniquely sweet. Christian rock was the soundtrack of the store which showed the stream on one of their TVs. Guys and gals in conversation behind the counter were also busy restocking the fridge with cases of milk and other beverage offerings. For me, fresh whole milk is still the way to go.
We decided to stop here after a day of hiking and it was outstanding. Great quality , wonderful flavors and not over the top sweet. On our first stop we ordered a tropical smoothie that was made with real frozen fruit and was delicious and a strawberry milkshake that was sooo good! We went there again later for a soft serve and it was so creamy and not overly sweet. Very well priced also! They also sell milk, meats, coffee, ice cream, and crazy milkshakes. The service was also great and everything was very clean and spacious. Definitely a great place to stop by.
I can't say enough good things about the milkshakes here! This small, local ice cream shop uses local dairy farm milk to make their ice cream. Ambiance- There's indoor seating only, but plenty of seats for everyone decorated with pictures of customers. It's a cute ice cream shop. I always stop by when I'm in town. Service is always fast and friendly. I love their chocolate milkshakes with Oreos. Definitely stop by if you're visiting Payson!
We stopped here on the way into town for some cookies and cream shakes and blueberry shakes. It was a yummy treat after coming in to town.

We tried their fresh chocolate milk which was delicious comes in a glass bottle and then you get a $2 bill back when you return the bottle. Cookies and cream ice cream was good. My husband had a chocolate shake which he enjoyed. Prices are a little steep but where isn't these days. Would recommend if in the area.
Great little ice cream shop in Paysun. Got the Mint Cookies and Cream and the ice cream reminded me of Cold stone. Texture was dense, creamy ice creamy, and good balance of sweetness. Minimal line that moved quickly in the store as well. Service was friendly and ample parking out front. Will be back next time in town! read more

I have been wanting to try this spot for years now! I never got around to it before I left AZ so I am glad I finally made it! It was so good I went two days in a row. I first came on Thursday afternoon around 2pm and tried a few flavors but went with the Reese's peanut butter cup and added mini choc chips, marshmallows, whipped cream and peanut butter sauce. The scoop alone was a normal price- $5- but the toppings add up quickly. Still worth it! The ice cream was delicious and a perfect portion. The next day I returned and got the soft serve twist in a cup with Nutella sauce and it hit the spot perfectly. Pleasant staff, a nice clean interior with some table games, some other merch options, and a couple outdoor tables. I would definitely try their other PHX location as it is a lot closer. @azfitfoodfun read more

Stopped in for dessert while in town and so glad we did! Wow, absolutely delicious! They have a great selection of flavors, toppings/mix-ins, and dessert options. We tried their Smores Stack Shake and whoa, it's loaded! Also tried a chocolate milkshake. Couldn't recommend the shake more - 10 out of 10! Plenty of seating inside. They have pre-made take away options too. We now have a go to spot of ice cream when in Payson! read more

Unfortunately this creamery just didn't do it for us. We have been wanting to try Danzeisen for a while and always miss it since it's closed on Sundays. I asked for a Neapolitan shake, which is a combo of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. The presentation was great and they really made the cup look nice with clean lines. Unfortunately the milkshake lacked flavor and was so watered down. The flavors didn't stand out from one another, they were very mild and the shake was overly milky. This was a no go for us, not sure what happened. read more
After a hike on a hot day hubby and I wanted to cool off with something refreshing. We both do dairy free and there was very limited options in the area. Luckily Danzeisen has a few options. There were about 6 flavors of sorbet to choose from and their smoothies are all made with oat milk and dairy free. The smoothies were delicious and definitely what we needed after our hike. The service was prompt and friendly. We would definitely stop by again when in the area! read more

The employees are very friendly. The ice cream is creamy and sweet. I now know that the strawberry cream waffle is delicious and my son enjoyed his ice cream waffle. Previously we had had ice cream cones at the dairy that is just down the street from where we live. We also grabbed some banana milk. It was tasty and thick like eggnog. read more

Stopped in for some ice cream on our way back down to the valley. The campfire, s'mores, ice cream was delicious. Hope you tried the chocolate soft serve and it look good. It didn't have much chocolate flavor so he ended up going for a coffee and ice cream, which was delicious. A little pup even got into the fun with a soft vanilla. He ended up not being much of a fan, I think it gave him a brain freeze. Highly recommend stopping here anytime you drive through town read more
If you come to my house, there is usually a bottle of Danzeisen Dairy milk in my refrigerator. I'm not a huge milk lover, but I really do enjoy the freshness and quality of their milk. Danzeisen Dairy has been distributing fresh milk here in the Valley for 60 years. Milk is bottled in glass bottles (like the old days) to keep it cold and shipped to grocery stores for purchase. There is a $2 deposit for the glass bottles that will be refunded back to you when you return it to a local store. Some of my favorite flavors are Strawberry, Root Beer, Cotton Candy and Egg Nog. I drive through Payson a lot and have noticed on a few occasions that Danzeisen has a Creamery Store off the Beeline Hwy. I finally made some time to check it out. In addition to selling bottles of milk, there are smoothies, shakes, ice cream, waffles and coffee products here. It's the perfect stop for a dessert snack after a drive up from the Valley. I love my Danzeisen Dairy milk and stopping here for shake or ice cream is always a treat. read more
I wish there were a Danzeisen Dairy Store in my area! The milk from this farm is superb so to combine their milk to make delicious desserts is a match made in heaven. They offer milkshakes, ice cream, and floats, as well as other locally produced items such as Peixoto Coffee. The shake stacks on the menu looked too good to pass up so I got the seasonal shake, a pumpkin stack shake, and the little one had a kid's size strawberry ice cream. The milkshake was amazing to behold! The rim was coated in gold candy sprinkles, and had a skewer of mini donuts and freshly made mini waffle on top. The taste was creamy decadence and there was basically another milkshake's worth of drink in the additional container they gave me. The ice cream was tasty as well and the little one was quite satisfied, especially with the cool color changing spoon the ice cream came with! read more

Headed into Payson or on your way out after the day of hiking, you gotta stop by the Danzeisen Dairy Creamery to get yourself a lil treat! But if you are not in the Payson area and are in the valley, you can also head out to Laveen to give them a try! If Danzeisen sounds familiar to you, it is because you probably have seen a bottle or two at your local grocery store here in the valley, that's how I 1st learned about them. I was already up in Payson and was in the mood for a treat before headed back to the valley and stopped by the creamery to get a shake! After looking at the menu I knew I wanted cookies and cream milkshake. This milkshake was the perfect treat for the drive home, the only issue I had was it was gone before I was any 1/2 way home haha. I know the next time I am in the area I will be stopping by for some more sweet treats. read more
