Stopped in because we were in the area and wanted to try a new bakery. We walked in and were not greeted warmly. We saw some small cakes and decided to try two pieces. We chose tirimasu and tres leches. We took them home. Although the tres leches flavor was nice it was a bit too spongy and wet overall. Generally liked the tirimasu. However I think the prices are a bit high. $5.50 a piece? Probably won't return. read more

While the cakes are still good they have stopped selling vegan cakes that are individual which sucks because this bakery is geared towards Ethiopians which are fasting/ vegan half the time. The vegan cake was what made me previously rave about this place but I'm disappointed. And the service is okay. I bought a cake around 5pm in Friday for my daughter's birthday that was on the following day. The cake was kept on refrigerator. However, when it was time for kids to cut the cake, we opened it and it was full of mold. I went back to talk to the manager and he was absolutely non apologetic and said he is just a cashier. Glad this place is still operating even when COVID is happening! Got my sons 1st birthday cake from here and it was AMAZING! They were able to do the cake with a good 6-7 day notice for a reasonable price. I have gotten several cakes made here and have yet to be disappointed...The owner is always so welcoming and kind to us. I usually come here for the pastries though because they are so bomb. I was highly disappointed with this bakery. My intention was to get a tres leches cake but when I got home and opened the box there was nothing tres leches about this cake. It was more vanilla cake with whipped icing. We all know tres leches has a more spongy/soggy texture and it was on the drier side. There wasn't any flavor to this tres leches. I go here for all my cakes. I have never been disappointed since I always get what I ask for. I get my wife's birthday cakes every year, we like to switch it up every time. For her 23rd birthday I got a collage of her baby pics...SHE LOVED IT! The customer service is also great. The owner already knows how last minute I am so when I call in to make an order he's always there to accommodate me. Surprisingly their pastries are delicious. Fairly decent cake selections... but their tiramisu was really, really good. It wasn't overly rich and they layer it so well. Plus if you want a slice (which is about $4), they give you a good amount as well. I also noticed they carried eclairs and other hard to find bakery items in the area. Next time I want to try their cream puff and their sofigiatelles as I think they carry those items. They are also good for group outings, but I recommend calling 2-3 days before the event, just like with any other cake business. The staff was a little stiff. Maybe that's because they aren't use to people like me coming in and trying them out. I'd come back here and try something else. read more

Excellent service and a good selection of cakes. We've tried a few cakes from here, and they were all good, but not great. Then a few years ago I ordered a white & dark chocolate mousse cake for my brother-in-law's birthday. The cake was moist, flavorful, and delicious. He has requested the same cake for every birthday since then. I've tried to get him to try cakes from other bakeries, but he insists on Landmark's mousse cake every year. Their prices are pretty reasonable (under $30 for an 8" cake) and they're located close to my home, so I'm happy to patronize this little mom & pop bakery. I needed to get a cake for work. Since my work is off of Little River Turnpike, I wanted to go some place close by. I saw their website, it was ok, showed what they did. Not impressed. I thought well maybe in person they would be better. They looked amazing and delicious! I got their fruit bavarian, the fruit glistened, it was very pretty. But, the moment you cut into the cake, you could tell it was frozen. I took a bite, the cake was dry, the fruit overly sweet and the frosting taste less. It is a great little bakery. Not overly sweet, which I appreciate. The eclairs were how eclairs should be, almost crisp and not a donut.

Terrible customer service on weekends, avoid the young man who manages the place on the weekends. Don't bother with this place, seriously. I spent 30 minutes in this bakery discussing cake options and going through their picture gallery for ideas. The man who helped me was very polite and seem to care as he took notes of everything I was asking for. I found the cake design I wanted online so he asked me to email it to him, he showed the email to the baker, they promised it was very easy and they both seemed to have a perfect understanding of what I wanted. Once I picked up the cake. I was so disappointed. The font of the red letters wasn't what we had discussed, it looked so unprofessional. The sizing of the letters weren't evenly spread out on the cake ,which didn't make the cake look worth $100. They used aqua blue, and clearly the theme of the cake is red white and blue. I asked for sprinkles in red, silver and blue, but that detail was left out. They also decided to add white flowers on the cake without my consent. I'm standing in front of this cake asking myself should I karate chop it, angry! The rude younger brother or cousin that works there on weekends arrives and I start explaining to him how unhappy I was and that it wasn't the cake I was promised. He printed out the picture of the cake I emailed them and we both start comparing. But instead of being understandable and trying to fix the situation. He tells me repeatedly that the cake they made looks much better then what I wanted. He told me they didn't have the sprinkles in the colors I asked for but yet promised me they would do it. Like really you couldn't go out and buy sprinkles to complete an order a customer has already paid for. Or why not call me give me a heads up, no sprinkles but we did add flowers. Smh. The man was so unprofessional always arguing back and forth with everything I said, he wouldn't listen to what I was explaining . All he wanted me to understand was in his own words, "if you ask me the cake we made looks better then what you wanted", really at this point his opinion didn't matter it never did. And that's the problem this place has. They will say yes yes to everything you ask for , always rushing and not listening carefully to details. They say yes yes okay now pay. Once you pay they make the calls on what designs to put on your order because to them they know best never the customer. They don't deliver what they promise. I could keep going but I hope you get my point. Don't expect professionalism. You are better off going to your local grocery bakery department. read more

I went there a few years ago and ordered a cake for a friends birthday on Halloween. Asked for it to be decorated with a Halloween theme. When I went to pick it up and looked NOTHING like anything for Halloween. I was VERY disappointed. Since then someone I worked with bought a cake from there and then returned it, it was so bad. To me, it looked like all their cakes were imported from somewhere else. I don't think they make anything there. I asked the guy at the counter a question and he said, let me ask the "chef". All he did was open the door to the back and yell, "Ohhh, chef". I never did hear anyone answer and never saw the "chef". Never went back and won't. I don't know how this place has stayed open as long as it has. I guess since there are no bakeries close to this area that bad is better than nothing to some people. read more
