Dr Cliff Woods is the best dentist in Prince George's county. I always get a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival from him and his entire staff. Dr Woods is very professional and yet personable. I initially wrote a review about this place and gave it 4 stars. However, even though the doctor and assistant were great, the receptionist staff is so unprofessional. I have been having issues after my surgery and tried calling multiple times and left messages. No one ever picked up the phone or called back. Finally 2 whole weeks later, I finally am able to get through. They set me up for the very next day. I get there and they tell me that they are not able to see me today and scheduled me for a week later. So, I am still having issues and having to just deal with it. I have PTSD and major anxiety regarding the dentist. So, I am already a nervous wreck leading up to the appointment. Now, that is intensified even more for another week. Unprofessional! read more

Dingy, Dirty, Disgusting! I can't believe I allowed this group to do work on my mouth. Not only are they unprofessional, when they were finished cleaning my teeth it didn't feel any different from cleaning my teeth with a kiddie toothbrush. The Dentist did not introduce himself nor did he offer any consultation regarding my teeth. He didn't say thank you or that he was finished . . . He just walked right out. This experience was so bad I came home right away and re-brushed my teeth. The nice receptionist set an appointment and said I will see you in April . . . Hahahaha . . . . Yeah right! The only reason I come to this practice to to be treated by Dr. Davidson. He is the best Oral surgeon in the entire DMV. Very gentle, he lets you know every step all of the way. He and his assistant come by every few minutes to check on you, to reassure you. He pulled tooth # 17. No pain, no swelling. Amazing Dr.! read more

It's been over a year and I'm STILL working on my teeth. Not because I don't have the money but merely because of how they operate and business hours. They don't follow through with call backs, out of the five females working there only one is very pleasant, which gives the second star. The rest either ignore you or blatantly have non-work related conversations in front of patients. I have a crown to put on, made the appointment, and explained I work in DC so the earliest I could be there is 4:15. Well I get there at 4:20 and I'm told to reschedule, the dentist already left. Which was a lie because I HEARD him talking to someone behind the door. They just didn't want to work until 4:45, 5pm at the latest. Now I have to wait another month to put it on,this alone has been a two month process since they had to send my impression back twice. I'd only suggest this place under the following circumstances: 1. You are within walking distance and can't afford to go anywhere else, transportation-wise. 2. You don't work so you can accommodate the 3-4 day work week that operates 9-4. In sum.....be in walking distance and don't work. However, I hope the sarcasm is read and really don't waste your time, money, and/or dental benefits. If my crown wasn't here I'd leave this place never to return. read more

Generally I am not a fan of the dentist, so i was very apprehensive coming in to have two wisdom teeth extracted. The receptionist was very nice and the office atmosphere was very relaxing. The dental assistant could sense my general fear of dentistry and went out of her way to calm me down and make the experience as comfortable as possible. The extraction was performed by Dr. Alphonso Davis. He too, made me feel very comfortable and the procedure was done quickly and with no problems. I am very confident i will be back here to have my dental needs taken care of in the future. read more

I went to Dr. Alfonso's office today for a dental appointment to extract my wisdom teeth the doctor that I seen was Dr. Terry she was a very uninviting very rude I was relating the information that I was given by my Insurance agency and she then got combative with me as if I was trying to argue with her and asked me she don't know why I want to argue with her she is more in tune with the insurance companies and then I am I then walked out of the office grab all of my things and proceeded to leave. There is only one representative in that whole dentist office that has great customer service I will not recommend this dentist office to anyone and if anyone tells me that they are deciding to go here I will leave them in other paths. The staff there are really rude I overheard one of the staff members saying that one of the patients dude does not know who she is so she better not get smart with her or she was going to do something to her teeth this place is inexplicably the worst Dentist office I have ever been to. I never got a chance to meet the doctor that I was supposed to be seeing I never got to proceed with my appointment because how I felt uncomfortable in that environment. This Office definitely needs to fire and rehire better personnel. read more

This place is a complete and utter joke. I scheduled a new patient appointment on 10/21/16 and was told I had an infected tooth that need to be extracted. I was scheduled for an appt with the oral surgeon for tomorrow 10/27/16. I called back to the office once I left and spoke with the worlds most incompetent supervisor Denise (so she says, she probably lied about her name because she's fraud and incompetence & don't want ppl to know but the old dumb lady at the front desk) and asked why I wasn't prescribed an antibiotic before the extraction so that the infection wouldn't spread during the extraction ( All medical personnel know that you cannot pull an infected tooth b/c it could infect other teeth and gums. She confirmed that I should have received a prescription, I give her the pharmacy number with the understanding that it would be called into the Rite Aid directly across the street on Apollo Dr. I get off work and go to the pharmacy, meds are not there. I called the supervisor this morning to ask why the meds were not called in and Denise tells me " Oh u gave me the wrong number to the pharmacy" so I ask her why she didn't just call me back to say it was the wrong number & she states that it's my responsibility to give her the right number and she doesn't know the number to the pharmacy located directly across the street "apparently " she's never called any medications to that pharmacy then hangs up on me & when I call back says that the phones accidentally disconnected. This is pure ridiculousness, I have worked in the medical field for 6 years and Denise looks old enough to know better & she's the supervisor. First of all why would I have to call you to request Antibiotics for a procedure that you know requires them, if I didn't call they wouldn't have said anything, then if I did give you the wrong number ( which I did because I was at work) why wouldn't you call me back to get it straightened out? I have always been very careful who you let in my mouth. How can I trust the dentist if he has ignorant, incompetent, elderly woman who obviously has no training or outdated training supervising your front office? Hanging up on patients and lying? Denise is and will be the downfall of this dental office! IF YOUR THINKING OF COMING HERE, DO NOT! I REPEAT, DO NOT! CLOSE THE BROWSER & FIND A PROFESSIONAL DENTAL OFFICE BECAUSE RHIS IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING IT! read more

The only nice thing i have to say is that the receptionist was pleasant over the phone...but she's not the one working on my teeth so that doesn't count for much. I went in to have 3 fillings done on the right side of my mouth and after i left, not only could I not chew AT ALL on the side he worked on but when I flossed a piece of the filling came out! I went back 5 days later and he filled down my tooth to even out the height of the filling and once I attempted to eat I realized it STILL wasn't done correctly and I have to go back yet again to get it repaired because I STILL can not chew on my right side. I have a LOT of anxiety about going to the dentist so I have to really force myself to go, and the fact that i have had to go 3 times for the same tooth is not only a complete waste of my time and a major inconvenience but its also mentally exhausting for someone with a fear of dentists. Also, take a look around the office where you are having the work done. It looks ok at a glance but once i really looked around I found some unsettling things; i.e. there was a jug of water with a hole in it that is connected to the hose they stick in your mouth to rise your mouth...that is some rigged up, back alley kind of stuff and I am disappointed and highly disgusted. read more
