I have used this company for years. To test the backflow and turn the sprinkler system off in the fall.

We've had John from Aquatech check our backflow system for about 18 years now, and we're extremely satisfied with his service.

First up: our ancient shower, leaking from the faucet and refusing to turn off. We pathetically "fixed it" ourselves more times than I can count. Never lasted and hurt our water bill! Doug came out, explained the (complicated) fix, gave us an estimate, and delivered exactly that, on time. Now we have a truly beautiful, modern shower where a disaster used to be. We were sold. Next, Doug fixed our barely functioning laundry sink faucet and just yesterday he resurrected our backyard faucet (after three years of it being decommissioned and useless.) So, after 3 projects, we can state categorically, Doug Nash is the real deal: professional, neat, friendly, confident, fair. He's the absolute BEST...we highly recommend.

These values are coming back, and Mr. Nash is at the vanguard of the movement. Due to a fortunate scheduling change and his assessment of our repair he came out the next day and replaced two ancient water supply lines. It was fast and turned out to be less than he initially quoted after a quick inspection revealed it wasn't as complicated as we had thought. He provided sound advice and is already on our calendar for a sink overhaul. So grateful to have found him here on Yelp. My highest recommendation. AAA+++

He said the whole unit was toast and he didn't have availability for a few weeks. He gave me a recommendation for a competitor, which I thought was courteous and unexpected. After calling 20 other plumbers, no one else had time either so I texted him and asked for a quote and said I'd wait the weeks/month. By some miracle he cleared a day, found a new unit and all the parts and was back to do the work in 24 hours. I checked up on the prices he quoted for the unit, parts, etc and everything was by the book. No markups or hidden fees, a totally fair a reasonable cost for the job. And he was very nice and happy to explain everything along the way.

It's a credit to Brandon that he told us that as soon as he arrived. Both times he told us he was slammed with work but he made a point to stop by and check on the problem very quickly. Another thing I like about him is that he offers suggestions/ideas on things that aren't problems yet. We just bought our house and he made several suggestions (all of which he was clear could wait) that were very useful. Bottom line: Brandon does excellent work at a very reasonable price and you can be confident that he isn't going to gouge you in any way. He's also very nice and a great person to chat with.

Incompetent and dishonest…read more I hired Wolcott Electrical to trouble-shoot and replace a malfunctioning smoke detection system in my home. They analyzed the already-installed electrical system and gave it a clean bill of health, then installed an entirely new set of smoke detectors, five hardwired Kidde off-the-shelf smoke/carbon monoxide units. My primary requirement for the new system was that, owing to my house having high ceilings, I needed something that could be turned off remotely in case of a false alarm and not ones that required you to physically press any reset buttons on the installed units themselves. Within two weeks, one unit within the newly installed system malfunctioned and sounded a short (but extremely loud) false alarm late at night. They sent out their technician the next day, who could still find nothing wrong with either the electrical system or with their newly installed units. Six weeks later, the entire system (all five detectors) failed for a second time, this time issuing 16 separate false alarms from all over the house between 6:37am and 6:58am in the morning. At this time it also became apparent that there was no way to deactivate the system except by physically pressing a reset button on a detector; that is, the critical requirement of being able the turn the system off from floor level had not been met. Given that they had examined the electrical system three times and could find nothing wrong with it, that they could provide no explanation for why their units were issuing repeated false alarms, and that they therefore had no way to prevent the problem from re-occurring in the future, I instructed them to remove the malfunctioning detectors from my house. Their offer to make good on this completely botched job, which had failed twice in only eight weeks and which they were unable to repair, was to refund one-half of the $1,629.00 they had already charged me, leaving me out $814.50 and with no smoke detection system. They justified this theft by now claiming that the electrical system in my house, which they had examined and passed three times, was responsible for the failures. And then to add insult to injury, when their meager refund showed up on my credit card statement a few days later, they shorted me on even the 50% refund, crediting me with only $773.39. I am investigating pursuing legal action. DO NOT HIRE.
