Plus, had to get HOA approval for a pergola - never fun, but finally got through that. Second contact was Ali toward the end with the irrigation and plants. Easy to deal with. Once the contract was signed, they indicated 2-3 weeks to begin, and that was accurate. Supply delivery began about five days prior to commencing work. The initial crew wasted no time getting to work. They kept the premises clean. Everyone professional. Quality: All I can say, is so far so good! Nice paver work, Pergola looks great. We specifically told them we wanted everything done right with no shortcuts. Instead, they pieced together our tiny area with multiple visible seams (three or four pieces of turf patched together). It looks horrible and cheap. For an area this small, it could have easily been done with one single piece of turf, but they didn't even mention that option. We were never told upfront that seams would be an issue or that the grass would be patched like a quilt. That alone is deceptive. When we complained about the ugly seams, they came back to "fix" it and made it slightly less noticeable... but it still looks terrible. When I pushed for them to just replace it with one full piece as it should have been from the start, they said they'd only do it for an extra $500. What a total scam. We paid premium money for premium results and got the cheapest, laziest job possible. All Turf Monsters cares about is getting that big check -- they clearly don't care about doing the job right or standing behind their work. Save yourself the headache and money. Subsequent years saw a few leaks every couple of months. I suppose I should have asked what type of poly tube they were using but figured for the price (over $3k), they'd be using something of quality. I was way wrong. I have had to engage Sprinkler Doctors for each leak (and it's not just one at a time, it's several at a time) after giving up doing it on my own. It just became a burden. Every instance of Sprinkler Doctors coming out to fix the leaks, the tech invariably asks, "who installed this?" and "this tubing is cheap." Most recently, I had a tech come out to address more leaks and he flat out told me that the tubing they used was garbage and the installers should have or would have known that. My entire system needs to be replaced because now, with each leak fixed, another leak pops up a little further down the line. So if you want to have fun repairing leaks a year after install, go with this company! If that doesn't sound like a grand time to you, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. TL/DR: irrigation tubing should last about 10-15 years after installation if it's buried. Mine hasn't even lasted eight. Leaks began occurring the year after installation.
