We didn't have a reservation, but they were still able to accommodate us. Yay! The space looks like an old bank, complete with a vault inside. It's small but cozy, with enough room for groups. Definitely works for date night too. What we ordered: Premium Ribeye Fried Porkchop Grilled Porkchop Creamed Corn Sweet Potato Suffle Collard Greens Everything was tasty, well‑seasoned, and genuinely mouthwatering. The ribeye was juicy and tender, and both porkchops were cooked beautifully. Portions are generous ~ our companions even took home half their meals. The Sweet Potato Suffle ended up being one of our favorites ~ the marshmallow on top makes it feel almost like a dessert. Warm, sweet, and comforting without being overly heavy. I'd come back just for this. Our server took care of us, checked on us in a timely manner. Parking is limited in front, but if you don't mind a short walk, you can find spots a little farther out. If we find ourselves back in the area, this will be one of the first places we return to. Great food, generous portions, and a cozy atmosphere. Recommended.

Based on the reviews and pictures I saw I decided to give Three Buddies a try. Three Buddies was easy to find as it sits right on the main road. They have their own parking lot so there is ample parking so once I turned, I hopped into a park and we headed inside. Three Buddies has a simple decor as the design aesthetic is straightforward and leaves the focus on the restaurant name itself. The restaurant was very clean and had a diner style setup with ample seating. Once seated, the waitress approached us with a warm smile and cheerful greeting. She provided us with menus, took our drink order, and allowed us some time to review the menus in full. With a variation of halal items on the menu, Three Buddies had me wanting a little bit of everything. However, I decided to go with a classic approach and get the Chicken Sandwich (fried) with Onion Rings (both well done). Once our order was placed, it was back to the enjoyment of the ambiance as we engaged in our conversation. When our food arrived at the table, the visual presentation was extra enticing. The aroma was captivating and after saying grace, o was ready to eat. Chicken Sandwich: Meaty Perfectly Fried Well Seasoned Fresh Fixins Buttered Bun Crispy Outside - Moist Inside 10/10 Onion Rings: The BOMB Crunchy Tender Onion Well Seasoned Great Homemade Ranch Dip Well Seasoned Huge 10/10 Three Buddies was truly an amazing experience. This is my new hidden gem for date night. I will definitely be back again very soon. This place is low key and fitting for a good meal and relaxed environment. The price point of the food at Three Buddies is perfect as the portions are filling and the food is high quality. Good food. Good service. Good prices. It's an all around great place.

The tacos were American tacos with lots of lettuce and cheese. As far as sides go, I've had tater tots, hush puppies, onion rings, chole chickpea soup, and naan. Same thing, everything is solid but nothing really stood out. The service is good and the ambiance is pretty casual. Would I come here again? Sure. I like the food here.

CHOPS DID IT AGAIN!…read more I thought our first experience at Chops on August 17th celebrating my 79th birthday was simply amazing and hard to beat.  But our second time around this past Tuesday August 25th was absolutely dazzling.   We were seated at a booth in the same area as last time.  Our server came over and introduced himself as " Rodney" and immediately asked us if we were still celebrating my birthday.  He also wanted to know if we would like to start with the same cocktails we ordered last time and even named them. We asked how he knew that, and he said "I do my homework".  He then asked if we would also be ordering the same entrees as last time, the Dover Sole and the Pepper Steak.  This was blowing our minds as this was something we had never experienced when returning to a restaurant for a second time. We were amazed at how much he knew about our last visit.  And the funny thing is we both thought he bore a striking resemblance to a younger Denzel Washington and also had an uncanny way of sounding like him too.  He was very entertaining.  We also learned he has been in the restaurant business for 40 years and you could certainly tell all that experience has made him the ultimate professional with a charming personality.   We told Rodney we were going to try some new things out this time,  Previously, I had ordered an Old Fashioned with Woodford bourbon but noticed they had on the drink menu an Old Fashioned with Chops-selected Elijah Craig single barrel bourbon, their house demerara syrup with bitters on a single rock ice cube which I decided to try instead.  Rodney advised it was their most popular signature drink. After a few sips, I could see why, and it will now become my Chops go to cocktail .  My wife ordered a dry vodka martini with blue cheese olives which is her favorite. Shortly, Rodney's assistant, Harrison, brought us some of their delicious warm sourdough and raisin breads with fresh butter.  Harrison was very personable and after chatting for a few minutes we found out he was a triplet.   Next, we each ordered an All Jumbo Lump "Maryland Style" Crab Cake with lemon grain mustard emulsion (¼ lb), They turned out to have the most crab meat in a crab cake we have ever had, and when combined with the emulsion they were very scrumptious. We followed that with a Caesar salad that was split into two dishes for us and consisted of the tender yellow inside Romaine lettuce leaves and topped with delicious white anchovies.  Finally, we ordered their most popular side, the lightly batter-fried lobster bites, which were out of this world delectable. At $44 for a dish of four, they are meant to be shared, but as lobster lovers,  we ordered two dishes for a total of eight. It turned out that four would have been plenty, as they were very delicious but also filling. Since Rodney had mentioned we were still going to be celebrating my birthday, he brought me a complimentary rum raisin bread pudding which was just as fabulous as the last time.  This ended our dinner on a very high note.  Even though the restaurant was fairly busy and Rodney and Harrison were servicing other tables, they were always keeping an eye on our booth to see if we needed anything.  One thing my wife thought was fun was they kept bringing her more blue cheese olives which she loves.   We can honestly say, the service was again over the top excellent,  the food  extraordinarily delicious, and the elegant and warm atmosphere was perfect.

We stopped in for a lighter dinner, and everything was executed flawlessly. The absolute highlight was the Maryland Style Jumbo Lump Crab Cake. It was pure, sweet lump crabmeat with virtually zero filler--just golden perfection sitting in that delicious mustard cream emulsion. I paired it with a fresh house salad and a side of broccolini, both of which were perfectly crisp and expertly seasoned. The atmosphere and service were classic Chops: attentive, polished, and top-tier. Proof that you can keep it light here and still have an incredible dining experience!

And the standards for this type of business concept are normally belooow the basement. But I figured we'd stop in while running errands in the area and grab something to munch on. I saw that they fry with tallow and I'm always on the hunt for some beef fat fried goodness. Now it's a rarity to spend less than $10 on a good burger these days in ATL, and even more of a rarity to feel that said burger was worth your coins. I side-eyed their $6 single but figured I'd give it a shot. Man, NFA proves that a burger doesn't have to be "gourmet" to still be damn good. The sauces, mustard, juices from the beef, slight sweetness from the potato roll, the crunch of the pickle... it all combines into something simplistic in nature yet magical. I usually expect this level of good (and inexpensive) in South GA but they brought that small town flair to the suburbs of Dunwoody. I hate crinkle fries normally but the decision to fry them in tallow makes me a believer. Simple, classic menu. No frills. Hot and fast. Great customer service, too. Just wait in your car and an amicable young adult (of which they seem to largely employ) will bring your order out to your car or to their picnic tables in the back. $17 for two to eat... in this day and age?!?! This place puts fast food burger chains to SHAME.

Jahjoy pork belly: Tasty & tendor. I loved the papaya salad which left a refreshing contrast. A bit too saucy for me. Flavors were strong. Squid ink bucatini: our favorite! Must get dish - bucatini is perfectly al dente & the spicy sauce was very flavorful. Jumbo shrimp was delicious, and the anchovy on top left a nice strong flavor. Red snapper: This has some Vietnamese influences with the sauce. It was a lighter dish which was just OK for me, I would have liked the fish to have a crispier skin. Not much flavor besides the sauce which is inspired by canh chua. Wagyu flank steak: cooked to perfection and flavored well, loved the celery puree which was much tastier than we expected celery to be. Dessert was mint chocolate cake which was very tasty. I wish the cake was softer and meltier in the center but it was still good. Malt gelato was delicious. Could def taste the mintiness. Creme pat along the edges was a nice add to the cake with cacao nibs and popcorn for a textural contrast. I enjoyed it!! Overall we had a great meal and could tell the ingredients were very fresh. The presentation for all the dishes was beautiful!! We can tell the chef puts care in his food :) Appreciated the personal touch - they gave a handwritten card to my husband for his birthday!

This is a review for the Easter brunch only…read more I'm sure my grandparents would've loved this place if they were still around. You got your white tablecloths, rooms full of retirees, and a vibe that hasn't changed much since the Reagan administration. Unfortunately, there was none of that live music that this place is known for. My family and I came for the Easter brunch buffet @ $55/person. The menu looked great: herb crusted prime rib at the carving station, shrimp and grits, Belgian waffles, deviled eggs, bourbon glazed carrots, cheesecake dessert squares. But the reality was that it's more like an upscale hotel breakfast. Safe, mostly bland, and probably exactly what the "usual" crowd there was looking for. The bacon was overcooked and shriveled. The deviled eggs didn't even have any paprika. And who puts a giant vat of syrup BEFORE the waffles? And their signature strawberry punch would've tasted way better chilled or iced instead of being kept at room temperature. The prime rib was what made it all worth it. It was tender, juicy, cooked just right, and the horseradish took care of their seasoning problem. That carving station is what saves the day along with the fantastic staff. Even the manager was great to talk to. I just wish the rest of the food was better than "meh." A couple of tips: call for reservations, there's no online booking. Parking is annoying because of the app. If you don't have a walker, just use the giant free public lot one block over on Main Street. Also, the "Order" button on their website goes nowhere. Maybe just replace it with "Menu," Luna. Looks like Mother's Day is getting the breakfast buffet brunch encore, so if you want to experience what I did, go for it. I probably won't be back even though the regular menu looks interesting.

The ambiance is fun and casual. We loved how this location was styled/themed more than our usual location. As soon as we sat down, we were given chips and salsa and our waitress Marzia arrived to take our drink orders. Since I'm pregnant, I can't get my margaritas just yet, so we stuck with waters. We also put in an order of small queso with jalapeños on the side and a small guacamole. Apologies that I didn't snap pics of these! Both came quickly! Our queso arrived first, and then soon after, our waitress prepared our guac tableside. The queso was tasty as always, and the guacamole honestly blew us away with how perfect it was! So flavorful, chunky, and delicious. We loved everything so much, we pounded it and even finished a second basket of chips before our food arrived--which is really saying something because... By 5:35pm, which is just 20 minutes after we initially sat down, our food arrived! Marzia was attentive and kind our entire time here and made sure we had everything we needed. My husband enjoyed his usual shrimp bowl, along with an added egg on top and a side of plantains. I loved my combo #5 which was two enchiladas with rice and beans. The rice and refried beans were so warm and comforting. My chosen enchiladas--one cheese, and one steak--completely satisfied my craving/the reason we stopped in! So yummy! I don't normally get steak with my enchiladas, but my husband, who hasn't eaten steak in 12+ years, was feeling adventurous and said that if I got it, he'd love to try it. This was momentous, so of course I said yes, as it opens up more options for him/us rather than just doing seafood or vegetarian all the time. I eat everything, so since he's recently ventured into trying chicken again which is in practically everything, I was excited. Now, reintroducing beef to him was another little win for me. The verdict? He said it was "really [insert cuss word I shouldn't type here] good!" He even had a second bite! We are looking forward to returning for more. This plaza is so cute and nice.
