Maui Pineapple Tour - Taste pineapples in various stages of growth, and receive a complimentary pineapple

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Maui! Our tour guide, Gabe, was absolutely…read morefantastic. He mentioned it was his first day, but honestly, I find that hard to believe. He was knowledgeable about the entire pineapple-growing process. Not to mention made us laugh We learned so much about how pineapples are planted, grown, and harvested. It was fascinating to hear about the life cycle of a pineapple, the care that goes into growing them, and what makes Maui Gold pineapples so unique and sweet. Of course, the star of the show was the pineapple itself. It was hands down the sweetest, juiciest, and most delicious pineapple I've ever tasted. After trying one, it's hard to go back to grocery store pineapple! The gift shop was also wonderful, with lots of cute souvenirs, gifts, and pineapple-themed items to browse. If you're visiting Maui, I highly recommend adding the Maui Gold Pineapple Tour to your itinerary.

I recommend this tour. We booked it at the beginning of our trip in case it needed to be canceled…read moredue to weather, which would have given us time to reschedule. Thankfully, the weather cooperated! Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes. There's quite a bit of walking through the fields, and the ground can be uneven and dusty. My socks were covered in dirt afterward, so I definitely wouldn't recommend flip-flops. Small carton boxes of water (like school lunch sized milk cartons) were provided on the tour bus, which was appreciated, but I'd still recommend bringing your own water as well, especially if it's a warm day. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information about pineapple farming. It's so labor intensive!! However, he spoke extremely fast, which made it difficult to follow at times. I wish he had slowed down a bit. During the tour, we sampled pineapples at different stages of ripeness, and at the end each group receives a boxed pineapple package to take home. Since there were two of us, we were given a pre-packaged box for two people. We assumed we'd be getting two pineapples similar to the ones we tasted during the tour, but when we opened the box back at our hotel, we found three very small pineapples instead. The box itself made it look like the fruit would be larger. We learned on the tour that pineapples do not continue ripening after they're harvested, so what you get is what you get in terms of sweetness. We kept 2 for ourselves and gifted the 3rd away. Unfortunately, the 2 we cut open were bland, barely sweet which was disappointing. A grocery store pineapple would've been sweeter I think. Idk if the one we gifted away was sweet or not. I hope it was b/c that'd be embarrassing considering it had the "Maui Gold" tag on the crown. One area that could use improvement is the guide's professionalism. At times, he shared stories about previous guests in a way that felt like he was making fun of questions they had asked. Hubby agreed. It left me wondering whether future tour groups would hear stories about us as well. He also shared a story about jokingly telling a guest or a group that he was gay, and then he was like, just kidding! While it may have been intended as humor, it didn't sit well with me. It felt unnecessary and in poor taste, especially considering there could have been LGBTQ+ guests on our tour. Overall, the tour was informative and enjoyable, and I appreciated the opportunity to learn more about pineapple farming. A slower-paced presentation and a more professional approach from the guide would have made the experience even better.

This trip was specifically for my son who is wheelchair bound and he made sure that everything we did revolved around my son having the time of this life. We learned lots about the area, laughed till we cried and felt like we met our new best friend on Maui. I really wanted to be present with my group so the fact that Henry captured photos and took videos of the day was the main reason I chose him. We received both within a couple days and have shared the video and photos to everyone in our lives. Traveling solo, it feels weird to take selfies everywhere or worse, asking someone to take your photo. The tour was me and 2 other couples: one couple were newlyweds and the other couple were on their very 1st trip together (as a couple). (Honestly where do you go after a trip to a Hawaii?!?) We could not have had a group that meshed BETTER than all of us. Our guide Henry clearly knew "the good spots" because we didn't stop anywhere that anyone else was... he made us climb down treacherous "root ladders" and walk through the coldest water up to our necks but his ideas were always SO worth it. And he captured the best pics! I highly recommend this EXACT excursion because you don't have to worry about any photos. He has it covered, and trust me, it's truly UNFORGETTABLE!!!

We had read many people saying rent a car and drive yourself using the app, to that I say not a good idea. My wife and I were both able to enjoy all of the views and all of the sites that were pointed out to us by our amazing driver/guide/new friend Patrick! If you're driving yourself, you're missing out. From the moment we booked this the owner, Dana, was exceptional in her communication and assistance in making sure this was the right tour for us. Patrick did an excellent job of taking care of us customizing our tour and making sure we saw everything we wishes to see and things that we never would've dreamed of seeing! In the past, I've had some challenges with motion sickness and had mentioned this to Dana, and upon arrival, Patrick had actually set up so that I could ride in the front seat if I was worried about the motion sickness issue. While I decided to ride in the back with my wife, it was a very thoughtful way to begin our day. There are too many stops to call them all out, but one that really will be remembered is when Patrick took us to be up close to Rainbow Eucalyptus Trees and picked us fresh strawberry guava's, that we had never had before, but they were wonderful. Patrick also provided some insight for stops that we would've never thought of such as Uncle Russell's Legendary Huli Huli Chicken for an awesome lunch and for amazing Dark Chocolate at the all organic self sustainable cacao farm East Maui Chocolate. Thank you Dana for setting this up and thank you Patrick for all that you did for us. We really enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend the Magic Of Maui Experience !!

From the moment we stepped on the raft, the crew made safety and comfort a top priority--clear instructions, secure seating, and constant check-ins that made everyone feel confident and cared for. The early morning conditions were perfect we watched the full moon set and saw an amazing sunrise. There was calm water, cool air, fewer boats, and incredible whale activity. We saw multiple whales breaching, tail slapping and pectoral fin slapping all while feeling completely safe and well supported. The captain expertly adjusted speed and positioning to match the ocean conditions, which made a huge difference. This tour strikes the perfect balance between excitement and comfort. If you're in your wondering if a raft tour is too intense--don't hesitate. Redline Rafting delivers a thrilling experience without ever feeling rough or unsafe. Truly unforgettable and highly, highly recommend! Date of experience: February 2026

We have taken three of their "Morning Walks" with our grandkids and it's a perfect introduction to hiking. Honestly we've had three different ...wonderful.. experiences. It's not strenuous and you're taken back to some private land that you'd not have access to if you just drove up and parked (if you found a parking spot) and hiked back in. We were lucky to have the lovely, fun, and knowledgeable guide named Randolyn ..aka Ran. She was the perfect blend of kind, patient and engaging with the grandkids, and very helpful with us old folks! On the drive on the way home she advised a few newbies to the island where some great places to eat were... they greatly appreciated her ideas! She had the most pleasant demeanor.... :) If you want a fun morning walk, call Hike Maui

Brian was just soo fun, and soo informative. He balanced all our interests absolutely wonderfully, it was just amazing. The kid was thrilled with the his dino costume (Oh my god! the costume, he wore it on the Entire trip except when jumping off the rocks ofcourse), the adult in the other group with all the geological tectonics knowledge that flowed like an uninterrupted volcano from his mouth...non stop, and me with all the native plant life info. The Hala tree amazed me and so did the big red flower- torch ginger, which actually looks like a vibrant staff fit for a king. I would never have learnt about them in detail if not for this trip. All this besides the actual trip to the waterfalls, the encouragement he gave to the other group was astounding (I don't swim myself unfortunately, or the fun would have tripled for me). He supported, guided, advised, and made them have the time of their life with the diving and the swimming. Three cheers to the B.Rex. Hike Maui site itself had useful info for the walk and I brought the water shoes after reading about it on their site, it really worked great out there. Pick up was right on time and the directions were pretty clear, but u could have mentioned near Kahului Park and Ride, I mistook the 8 min drive for 8 min walk, and walked up from my hotel ! Hike Maui arranged for backpacks and that was very useful too. To just it throw it on our shoulders and walk freely. The little snacks were good after the walk. The best part was the passion fruit which was handed out as a parting gift. It was my first time to eat that fruit too. Note: The waterfalls are accessible privately with rental car too. You could explore the area in your own sweet time. But I did notice there were not many signs with specific directions inside the forest. And no labels on the plants. Most places no mobile signals either. That said, you could do it on your own. I cannot say enough about this trip. It is for all ages and a great little Maui to explore comfortably. PS: Hope Brian wins the Halloween costume contest today ( 31st Oct 2025)
