She shared so much interesting Hawaiian history of each location we visited. The terrain is narrow with winding roads and Aloha is a must while driving.. so patience and kindness is necessary. We started off with some rain but everything went well as the Sun came out. Lots of turns, cars, waterfalls, picture perfect scenery, red & black sand beaches, and got to meet and talk stories with a bunch of people in our group & the locals that live in Hana. Had a fun luncheon with farm to table pizza & hibiscus tea. The farm store was also a fun place to pick up more goodies! Two hours in and 2 hours out... We made it and survived the Road of Hana! My parents took me on an excursion and they booked through Hāna and Beyond. Our guide was Junior,…read moreand he picked us up from Sands of Kahana. From there we all chatted away until we got to the breakfast spot inside a mall area where they had fabulous coffee and an amazing blondie muffin. We gathered more guests there and off we went! Junior was damn good with his charisma, banter, and friendliness. Sometimes people don't get the locals personalities, but we did so we had an awesome time going back and forth with him. Junior was a great driver, safe and courteous and stopped at every single place on the map except the state park since it was closed. No big deal. We got banana bread at Halfway to Hana and saw a ton of waterfalls. I even jumped off one. We saw turtles during their incubation period and the black sand beach was stunning. The turkey wrap lunches were meh, but honestly I wasn't even hungry I just wanted to be out there and explore. We got back safely and thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Junior, I highly recommend him and Hana and Beyond. Thank you :)

I can say with 100% confidence that Wade provided above and beyond what I expected for a guided tour and is the best I've experienced so far. There is a list of reasons on why I am giving such rave review for Wade... his knowledge, his passion, his consideration, I can go on and on. All those 'ingredients' must be present to make an excellent tour. For example, I once went on a guided tour where the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate... but has no consideration of who her audiences were. She bored me to tears after the first 30 min of the 5 hour tour.... Our trip to Maui was a part of a good friend's birthday trip. She actually was the one that found No Ka Oi Adventures and told me she wants to sign up for the all day tour. When she told me how long and how much it would be, I kinda did a... O.o I was a bit skeptical. So I started reading all the reviews about No Ka Oi Adventures and about Wade. I was very impressed by the rave reviews from various travel sites. So my husband and I went along with it. However, being a natural skeptic, I still had my doubts. I had done larger tours and felt they were very 'generic'. I had done customized private tours and had the tour guides kept asking "where do you want to go next?"... which I responded with, "dude, you are the expert, tell me where we should go next!" So spending ALL day with a tour guide to me was a big risk for our precious time in Maui. Here is what made our all day tour so freakin' awesome. Our party of six ranged from early 30s to 60s... yea, so it's not like we all have the same physical strength etc. But, Wade took the time to ask before hand (via email) what the party make up is and preferences so he can prepare for an itinerary. The day started early and our first destination was a what I considered 'medium' hike. He was very attentive and even said that this particular hike helps him determine what kind of activities are appropriate for our party. Throughout the day, I can tell he has a cache of places and BACK UPs in case some places didn't work out. There were times when he would ask our preferences so he can present options and customize based on that, and then there were times (when much needed) he would let us know HIS preferences. I can't stress what a fine line it is as a tour guide to dance between customize for your customers vs. use your own expertise to 'push and nudge' so your customers can enjoy what they might not even know existed. Wade handled it with flying colors. We had a great time that my original concern of having a 12 hour long day with a tour guide felt like it was too short. He not only came well prepared (again, a cache of BACK UP places, all the gears you might need to snorkel, towels, sun screen etc), he was personable and fun to chat with. His picks of destinations is a combination of scenic routes and look outs, adventurous places and activities, local establishments to try various treats, and paths less known and traveled. We learned a great deal because he was knowledgeable and personable and can pretty much strike up a conversation on a wide variety of topics. I think everyone can enjoy a tour with Wade. I do caution that it is no "luxury" tour (i.e. you have to work to be rewarded in some areas). But if you have an open mind, communicate your preferences, and let him take the lead, you will be rewarded with many pleasant surprises, fun activities, and just overall a great experience.

He communicated regularly to provide ideas of the for to customize the data to our wants and energy. He was prompt with everything, from calling, giving us updates on the route(as weather will affect the day), and showing up. Tour: everything met or exceeded our expectations. Willie took us to a couple away areas where, I think, he was assessing our hiking skills. From there he provided suggestions which he, successfully assessed, we could accomplish. Willie consistently provided the history and explanations of the area as we toured. Explorer areas: Willie brought us to a variety of locations. He is respectful of the island and the culture. I observed others providers who, I feel, were not as courteous to the local family owned vendors or tour operators. Willie was courteous, while still assuring we had a good time.

My Mom wanted to have her ashes spread in the water of Maui. I had researched private charters that…read morewere really nice but super expensive. I then came across Blue Soul Maui. They seemed to have everything we wanted to honor my Mom. After speaking with Charlie I knew this was the right company. We got everything setup and he was able to refer me to a videographer which was awesome. We got the date set and also a backup should the weather be bad. The day came and we went to where he had sent us a pin. We got there a they were preparing the outrigger canoe. We went through safety stuff and how we were going to paddle out. We then met Vicente the Hawaiian spiritual leader of our journey to honor my Mom. We had a beautiful ceremony on the beach to start the ceremony. We then go get the outrigger off the shore which was cool. We then paddled out and had another beautiful ceremony on the water where we spread her ashes. We then paddled back and it was incredible. It was a perfect way to honor my Mom. I can never say enough nice things about Charlie and Vicente. They were incredible. If you are looking for an incredible paddle out journey to honor your loved ones. I cannot thank them enough for all they did. It was a great experience and would recommended Blue Soul Maui.
