We had plans to go to Kapolei to have acai bowls for lunch. We decided to try Lanie's Lunch Wagon for a take home dinner. Lanie's lunch Wagon is located in the bowels of Campbell Industrial Park. They have a variety of cuisines. Hawaiian, Phillipino, Puerto Rican, and American. My wife saw that they served Pinakpet. Well that wasn't on the menu when we got there. I decided to order the Philipino Combo. It consisted of chicken adobo, Dinuguan, and Sari sari. The flavors of our Combo plate were lacking. Adobo was lacking in the vinegar taste. The diniquan seemed watered down. Couldn't taste the rich flavors of the blood . It was all pork and no inards. The Sari Sari was best of the three. The lunchwagon is parked a few feet in from the curb. You have to be on the lookout or you'll miss it like I did. Mt wife pointed it out as we passed the Wagon. Overall service was friendly and fast. Enjoy.

Omg! The hidden gem of all filipino food trucks. It is located in the Campbell Industrial area. The ladies behind the counter are very customer oriented and will make custom plates to your liking. They are very prepared and fast service even if the waiting line is long. I've been coming here for years whenever I'm in the area. I thought I wrote a review, but I guess I overlooked it. Lanie's has always been consistent in their food quality and low price. The portions are very generous, so be prepared to drive safely after you finish your meal, lol. They also serve different kinds of local foods. Menu items change on certain days. They have individual plates and/or combination plates. For those who don't eat much, they also have mini plates, too. I've tried a lot of different dishes, but on my last trip here, I had Pastele over Gandule Rice covered with Pastele Stew. Omg! It was so so goood! Again, the portions are huge, so be prepared. Another must try is the Pork Gisantes and Mungo Beans. It's so flavorful. For dessert, we had mochi balls on a stick and banana lumpia. l always look forward to coming here when I'm around the area.

    Seriously! Plate is overflowing

This Lunchwagon is the best! Their prices are reasonable and the food is Ono! Every single time we get the Hawaiian plate lunch, they do not disappoint! Way better lau lau than the expensive guys. Just check out this pic! Plate is overflowing. Can't even close the lid. :) The ladies are also super nice!

Variety of grinds every single day! And I must say the plate portions are worth my money. Example: $9 Pastele stew plate $10 Hawaiian plate $10 Special mix plate Hella worth it! And 4 Mochi balls $1. The wait isn't long even if it's all being served from a good truck and it gets pretty busy at well. You gotta go early because they sometimes run out of things closer to closing. A MUST TRY LUNCH WAGON!!!!

All I can say to myself is what in the world to me so damn long to eat at this hidden gem of a Lunch Wagon which is located way in the back of Campbell Industrial Park next to the H Power Plant. This Lunch Wagon is called Lanie's Lunch Wagon and the Menu Selections here vary from Day to Day. They got everything from Pastele Stew to Lechon Kawali to Squid Guisado to Baked Saba and their Hawaiian Plates served on Friday's. Prices here for a Plate Lunch are reasonably priced at $10 and you can get a Mix Plate with up to two or three choices for only $12. Plate Lunches here are hefty. You definitely get your money's worth here at Lanie's. I hear the lines here get ridiculously long during lunch hours and I'm pretty sure they sell out of a lot of items here with all the hungry workers here at Campbell Industrial Park. What got me so excited about Lanie's is that they are opened on Saturday's which means I can drive all the way from Mililani and get my Lanie's Fix knowing that they won't run out of any items when I get there early. I work from Monday thru Friday in Waikiki, so I know when work is done for me there would be nothing left for me if I drove all the way from Waikiki to Kapolei So here I am lucky me on a Saturday and there are a few items that caught my eye. I love variety so I had to get a 3 Choice Mix Plate with Lechon Kawali with Tomatoes and Onions,Kalua Pig and Cabbage and Pastele Stew. It came with Rice and Tuna Mac Salad...Yes Tuna Mac Salad and I was on Cloud Nine. Everything was so damn good. I left with a Big Smile on my face knowing that this could be my Saturday Lunch Wagon Fix for years to come...LOL Definitely gotta give this place a try people. Good Food and Great Value make for an Amazing Experience!!!!

How far would you drive for lunch? Would you drive from town or Kaneohe to Campbell Industrial Park? My dad does every Friday! For the longest time, he would continuously talk about Lanie's. It wasn't only recently that I finally got to try them! Located near H-Power in Campbell Industrial Park, you'll find a line of people waiting for their plate lunch. You know the lunch wagon is good when there's a line of people despite other lunch wagon options within a block radius. You know it's even better when people are waiting in line for them to open! What makes them so great? - DEALS! All their plate lunches are less than $10! Majority of the main plates were $8 and specials are $9.50. The plates are also filled full with food! I could imagine a similar plate lunch being +$10 in town. - Homemade taste - all their food taste like it's homemade. I had the pastele stew while my dad had the pinakbet. He says that Lanie's has the best pinakbet on the island. I loved the pastele stew and totally wish I had some as I write this review. It has a ton of pork! I'm not a fan of bittermelon (for now), but the pinakbet tasted pretty good! Each plate came with rice and tuna mac and/or regular salad. Things to know~ - Pay by cash - Banana lumpia or mochi is $1 - It's only street parking - Get there before the leave at 1:00-ish (or earlier) - They also cater! Overall, Lanie's food is awesome and such a deal! Be sure to check them out!

Newly discovered food truck I found out about and heard a lot of good things about too so while out west I decided to try them out and I must say I wasn't disappointed. Very affordable, very fast and everything tasted amazing. Be aware that everyday is a different menu so just a heads up but know you can never go wrong with their daily specials.

My boss went to this lunch wagon to grab us lunch one day and I got the chicken long rice. It was very flavorful! The portion size is really generous. I'll update this review when I actually go this lunch wagon. 5 stars just based on food because it was that good.

I ordered a Pastele Plate that included 1 scoop each of white rice, Gandule rice and potato salad with 2 neatly wrapped pasteles. Apologies as the plate was quickly eaten before I could snap any pics. What I really enjoyed was the rice was not wet and soggy, the potato salad was delicious and the pastele included nice chunks of meat and whole seedless olives. The Pasteles were a bit wetter that what I have had in the past at other businesses, but was very tasty! The potato salad was especially delicious...even better than Gulick's ! I am excited to try the pastele stew as the chunks of meat in the pastele was not fatty. I was so excited to find this pastele biz that I forgot to ask if I can pay extra to upgrade the white rice to gandule. Will definitely return in the future. I don't know what days the food truck is in Kapolei, but maybe you can get their IG page. Today the truck was at 91-220 Hanua Street. Sorry, I guessed the address when I added this new biz. A bit pricey, but I loved that the food truck was neat and clean! Maybe the higher pricing so no line lol. I rarely buy lunch so this was a treat for me and was shared. I only bought 1 plate to try, but the office staff suggested they wanted their own plate next time! Support this local small business and remember to tip well!
