I did find the button so all good. When you arrive at Sew N So they have a sign on the door stating they are going on vacation next week and not taking any new orders. I was disappointed naturally but I chose to speak to the supervisor, owner or manager on duty they were able to assist me and take my sweater. My sweater will be ready for pick up hopefully before they go on vacation this month. People be aware and prepared. Their prices are reasonably and they only accept cash payments last time I checked. She did the initially pinning and then I asked for extras here and there to make it fit my body how I wanted. When it came to my husband's suit, he did his pants, shirt, jacket & vest. His alterations did cost a little bit more than my wedding dress, which is the only reason I brought my rating down just a bit. All items were done just as requested and I was especially impressed with how well they repaired the shorts! All were done within 48 hours, just in time for our trip, with a total cost of $40. I needed a dress trimmed at the bottom of the…read moreskirt to make it shorter, so I called different alterations shops in town and was given the same estimate of $20-$25. I chose Gili's and took my dress here. I don't know what about me that made her think have money to spare (I don't!), but as she was writing my bill, midway through writing the 5, she turned it into an 8!!! See attached picture. When I told her that she quoted me that it would be $20-$25, she told me that labor would be $15/hour plus supplies and things. I told her the dress itself was from Ross and cost $16, so what she was charging me was almost double the price of the dress! Either way, I understood and let her do the trim. When I went to pick up the dress, I asked her how long it took to trim it and she said about 45 minutes. What was all that BS about $15 an hour labor??? As if that wasn't a slap in the face enough, the dress was still too long and touched the floor even with shoes on! So I had to wait even longer for her to do it again. This was not fair to me and I feel like I got taken advantage of. I will be warning everyone not to go here ever!

Like how are YOU going to be mad at me for YOU messing up MY pants. These pants mind you at 70+ dollars then I pay you an additional 26 dollars to taper them and make them just a tad shorter I brought my original pants to make sure that they were the same length bc he has messed up MULTIPLE times in the past (mind you I was nice about it. ) he told me he doesn't have time for picky customers and that he has a lot of clothes. Then maybe it's time to pack it up and retire. I understand he's old as hell but your job is to fix my clothes... then to fix the mistakes YOU make because that's what happens when you pay for a service. My friend recommended Mission Alterations because he had previously brought a suit in to get altered. It's located in a small suburban street, in a house as opposed to a storefront. I came by, and met one of the owners, a kind friendly older gentleman. He was efficient and very accommodating about the turnaround time. Luckily, it was a easy hem job with not a lot of fabric that needed to be removed. The quote was very reasonable at $15 or so from what I remember. Very happy with the experience and would definitely come back in the future whenever I need alterations.
