My co-worker and I came here for lunch. There was only one person to host/serve but there were only two other tables and a couple seated at the bar. Even still, it took almost 30 minutes to get our food after ordering. We both ordered the Pho Nomenal Adventure and I added chicken. The pho was delicious and came out of the kitchen at a good temperature. My co-worker ordered a sandwich to-go when we placed our original order and almost an hour later her sandwich was ready. As I came to post this review, Yelp warned me that this restaurant likely has fake positive reviews. Not surprised. Pretty place, and pretty looking drinks & food. Nice staff. But, the food was poor, the service was poor, the seating was poor, way over priced, and the live music was horrible! The menu is a confusing mess. Hard to read, and totally incoherent. Not sure what they're trying to pull off, but sadly this place was a major fail. Mussels were puny, stringy, & chewy with way overly salted broth and crostini soaked in oil. We couldn't finish. Tiger prawns were small shrimp in a mayo sauce. Short rib was well-cooked, though not all that flavorful, and just nothing special in a huge dish of mashed potatoes. Drinks were ok; nothing special. The Smokey butterscotch drink was very strong & did smell good. Booth-type seating was so low that our table came to our chest. Live music was horrible! Awful! Poor guy was singing flat most of the time, and singing rock covers better suited to a dive bar with peanut shells on the floor. We wanted dessert, but had to leave to go somewhere else in the rain because the music was so bad we couldn't take it anymore. The spot was not busy, yet the service was sporadic and inattentive. Cool atmosphere and concept but a tad bit pricy for what this place offers. I went here with a good buddy of mine a couple months back. We are pho lovers with decades of experience trying every new pho restaurant in Northern VA so when we saw the social media advertising the steaming clay bowl here with the bone in steak, we just had to try it. Getting to the restaurant review, the ambiance is nice. Gold utensils really make you feel like you're eating at a palace. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The music is great. The decor is great. The vibe is great. If I were to rate this restaurant on its look and feel alone, it would be a 5 star. As far as the food goes, I found this place to be fairly disappointing. Some of the food we ordered was not great. Some of the food we ordered was just ok. And some of the food was actually pretty good. But unfortunately, just about all the food was overpriced. I get that this place is trying to market itself as that elegant vibe and modern take on traditional dishes. But I've been to many places like that (see my review for Nue Elegant Vietnamese). Eve's was an ok experience in terms of the food but it costs me just as much, if not more, than actual elegant restaurants that I have been to. My buddy and I started the night with Animal Fries and Oceanic Bites. The Oceanic Bites are essentially tuna tartare with Vietnamese sesame crackers. This is one of my favorite snacks as a Vietnamese kid growing up. The tartare itself was ok, but nothing spectacular that I would rave about to friends. The crackers were pretty good but it wasn't the star of the dish. The animal fries were horrible. They are literally krinkle cut fries that you can buy frozen from a grocery store and put some spicy mayo on it. For our main courses, we went with the Lobster Dream and the Fall Off the Bone Stonepot Pho Adventure. The lobster was overcooked and rubbery while the fried rice that accompanied it was bland. I immediately regretted choosing this entree after I started eating it. The Fall Off the Bone Stonepot Pho was the biggest disappointment of the night for me. It tasted fine, don't let me sound too negative here. The pho itself was good. But the portion is small compared to the $15 variety you would normally get at a standard pho restaurant. And the broth wasn't anything special that would put it in the top 10 pho restaurants for me in Northern VA. As for the bone in steak, it was good but it wasn't $45 good (yup, a $45 bowl of pho). So given that the pho was just an average pho in my opinion, I wouldn't come here and order it again when I can get 3 large bowls of pho for the same price elsewhere. All in all, the restaurant is very nicely decorated and the staff are really friendly. Some of the food is terrible (animal fries and lobster). Some of the food is ok (tuna tartare). And some of the food is good (pho broth). But none of it is worth the expensive price tag. I would recommend going here if you happen to live in Reston and want to go out for a date night for the ambiance. Otherwise, I think there are better options if you are looking for good, elegant, reasonably priced Vietnamese food. read more

Came for their bottomless brunch, and the restaurant is beautiful, very bright and clean. Unfortunately, it was the only thing they have going for them. The food was very mediocre. We came for the bottomless mimosa and food. Half the food on their menu was self serve (buffet style) which I had no issue about however the food they had out was cold and very bland. The skewers were also very dry. The only thing I somewhat enjoyed was the pad thai. We also got a bunch of other things from their menu like the pork buns which was mid. Nothing too crazy. The wings which were dry. The fries, again nothing mind blowing. The banh mi and pho. I would say just come and drink here. They had a variety of mimosas you could choose from (guava, orange, and pineapple). The only thing that I fully enjoyed was the dessert. It was caramelized bananas with ice cream. The service was very unorganized, but I do want to give them grace since they're a semi new restaurant. We had reservations that we were running a few minutes late too so we called to let them know, and the lady that answered said it would be fine. We got there at the time we said we would be and they did not have a table for us and told us the wait would be 30-45 minutes. After we told them we had called and the person we spoke to confirmed it would be no problem they squeezed us into what was meant for 4 people. Luckily we were a party of 5 and was small enough to fit, but it was super crowded with all the plates and drinks. It was not comfortable. The service was also very slow. We had to wait for our mimosas to be refilled until basically everyone at the table finished their drinks and everyone was empty. So if you were the first to finish you'd probably be waiting 15-20 minutes for your next ones. The food also came super slow (the dishes from the kitchen). Overall, I would say there are better bottomless deals out there. read more

Great and cute little restaurant with that Asian food with a Vietnamese twist! The service was kind of slow, but the food came out really fast once it was ordered. I did enjoy the food, but I would say some of the dishes had kind of a weird flavor. We ordered the summer rolls, but the waitress brought the spring rolls instead and they were different from any other spring roll that I had tried. I didn't love those. I had the garlic noodles with chicken and the chicken was cooked perfectly! I also loved the taste of the noodles and they were not too garlicky. I also tried a bite of the pad Thai and it had a weird sauce with it so I would not recommend this dish as it did not taste traditional at all and reminded me of another pad Thai at a Vietnamese restaurant I had tried with also a bad taste like a fish sauce. Our server was incredibly unprofessional. She was unwilling to help our one guest with a food allergy, demonstrating very little menu knowledge and we had to work things out ourselves by looking at pictures of the food on Yelp. Then, she messed up our order, forgetting to send an entree so it came out long after others at the table were finished eating, and there wasn't an apology or anything. Instead the server added an autogratuity that came out to be more than 20% after tax. Even worse it's not immediately apparent on the receipt that an autograt had been applied, and no signs or anything suggesting that small groups have to pay autograt, so we could have easily accidentally double tipped the worst service we've had in months! After giving service so bad it feels almost deliberate, being forced to autograt above 20% feels like it borders on theft. Stay far away from this place, particularly with better options in the area that won't rip you off. Food was mid, drinks were nice, neither were remotely remarkable enough to make me want to come back after service that bad and being taken advantage of. read more
