Every adventurous foodie should put Laos Thai Kitchen on their list! If you're looking to branch out from the usual Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, or Indian cuisine, this is the place to do it. I can confidently say this is now one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas. It's only my second visit, but somehow it was even better than I remembered. This has officially become one of my regular spots, and it'll definitely be a restaurant I bring friends and family to whenever they're visiting. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and perfect whether you're grabbing a solo lunch, celebrating a birthday, or enjoying a meal with the family. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was absolutely worth the wait. Unlike many Asian restaurants where dishes seem to appear almost instantly, everything here is cooked to order. It took a little longer for our food to arrive, but that's because it was fresh and you could taste the difference. To be fair, we also ordered nine dishes, so the kitchen definitely had their hands full. One thing I really appreciated was that every single dish was delicious. It's rare to order that much food at one restaurant and not have a single disappointment. Here's what we ordered: - Chicken Larb - Spare Ribs - Lao Sausage (an absolute must order!) - Garlic Wings - Potstickers - Fried Squid - Fried Noodles - Beef Jerky - Sticky Rice It was an incredible spread, and every dish brought something different to the table. If you're going with a group, I highly recommend ordering family style so everyone can try a little bit of everything. Laos Thai Kitchen absolutely lived up to the hype. A new addition to my rotation of go tos. We honestly went here because we wanted to get food in Lowell but every other restaurant was closed by 8pm and this was the only one open after 8. And I am so glad we did! The menu carries a smaller variety than others in the area but the ones they do, they seem to make them well. We got the fried pompano and the crying Thaiger steak. The fried pompano came with a sauce that was so good that we asked for extra. It was spicy but not too much and thick and went perfectly with the fish. We even put some on the steak just cause and it went well with it. Ended up packing some sauce to bring home lol Plenty of street parking in the area so that's another plus. This is hands down one of the best Thai restaurants I've ever been to. My party over-ordered and overate, but nobody regretted a thing. The dining space is intimate, but can still accommodate larger parties. The staff was friendly, had a great sense of humor, and we didn't have to wait long for our orders. As for the food, everything was a hit. We ordered the Sai Koo (stuffed tapioca balls), Khao Poon, Laab, Crying THAIger (haha), and Pad Sa Euw. My favorites were the Sai Koo and Laab, but it seems like you can't go wrong with anything here. Have had this place so many times, it's always a good spot for my siblings and I to go to. The workers here are nice and helpful. We sometimes bring my nephew who can be quite loud but it's never an issue as the restaurant is definitely one that you can be comfortable in, there's always people eating lunch and having a good time. The environment definitely feels like a casual Asian restaurant. One thing we stand by the chicken feet. It is a must eat every time, it's crispy and juicy with a good amount of spice although I am good at spice, my sister does need breaks inbetween to handle it. As an appetizer, it does take a little longer for them to make but it's worth it. Other appetizers they have are thai sausage, this is very juicy and oily. The flavor is nice but the sauce didn't add much to it due to how fatty it is. The spicy chicken wings here are also good you can never go wrong with chicken wings. I've only had the tom yum shrimp for soup, it had a good tom yum flavor but more on the small side for being $7 but enjoyable. For the papaya salad it's pretty spicy and has a lot of juice although sometimes the papaya itself has a sweetness to it. So think of having ur mouth on fire while having a ting of sweetness. I do wish it was a little more sour and less fishy but they usually provide a lime on the side to balance. The beef laab here is delicious, this has a stronger flavor and is more sour but the ratio for the cilantro/veggies to beef is a little more than I wish it was. The drunken noodles here were decent nothing special to order. For the curry soups they are more on the soupy side meaning it's pretty watery not thick at all, only have tried the red and green flavor though. Most of the dishes you're able to choose a level of spice and so if you can't handle it you can't get "Wimpy" level . They don't take Amex here but Discover is taken. If I'm too lazy to drive to Dracut to eat at Lanxang, I drive to Laos Thai Kitchen to eat Lao style papaya salad. We got a bunch of food because we are hungry hungry hippos (6 of us). We got crab Rangoon, chicken wings, tapioca balls, papaya salad (3 star spice), crispy ladna, Lao sausages, and something else I forgot. We would've ordered more but there was no more room on the table LOL. The sausages were nice and sweet and savory, the crab Rangoon was cheesy and sweet, the thum makhong was spicy and good. Loveddddd the tapioca balls because they were piping hot so it just melted in my mouth and tastes so good with the dipping sauce. Definitely come here for Lao food. read more

The food itself was pretty good. However, I noticed the price listed on the menu was not the same as the final bill. When I spoke with the waitstaff about this, they pointed out "the business is subject to change price at any time" on the menu and would not adjust the price. However, this was not verbally mentioned when placing out order, which felt very deceitful and scammy. Although the difference was not large, this business practice is morally dishonest. It would take very little time to put stickers over the original price and literally less than 5 seconds to inform us of the price change. In short, the food was good but the dishonest pricing practice left an extremely bad taste in our mouth. Beware to double check the menu prices and your final receipt. read more

Lowell makes me hungry. Honestly, just hearing the word "Lowell" now just makes me drool. Lowell has Pavloved me. Laos Thai Kitchen is simple, unassuming, but definitely not run down. There's a organization to it that makes it pretty clear the owners care about the place. Which is always a good sign for the food. The menu is very interesting - it has your standard Pad Thai, spring rolls, assorted rices, fried. But do you even know who you're reading here? I come for the noodle soups, brother. I had the Khao Poon, which sounded like everything I like but I've never tried. I asked about the spice level, and they said usually it's not spicy, just a level 1. A bit disappointed, I asked for maybe some spice on the side. I tell you, I did not even look at that spice on the side. Level 1 was no joke - definitely not too much but plenty hot for my ashkenazi taste buds. Note - there are 5 spice levels. I imagine level five the bowl is actually on fire. The soup itself was kind of this curry base, which was super flavorful, though more of a slow sip than a slurp like pho. There were all kinds of random meats and veggies thrown in there, which made every bite a kind of adventure. Next time I'm bringing friends. New favorite pho spot--and yes, the drive to Lowell is 1000% worth it. Menu has plenty of food options while keeping it classic and simple. Only two options for pho--chicken pho and beef meatball pho. I have been told the beef meatball pho is the reason to come here. I will have to try it next time--my friend got it and I tried the broth and can definitely say it had that old-school taste that I've been longing for in beef pho broths and can't find anymore. Service can be slow when it's a hole in the wall authentic restaurant. I've been to this place many times and the service is never great, although the food is good and authentic. This time the service was horrible and the owners were just plain rude! This is the last time for me and I would not suggest going here unless you want to be sitting around for a long time to order and our food was skipped over because the owners friends showed. My son didn't get his food and they didn't make 2 dishes because they were busy tending to their friends. While the owners friend's food came shortly after some of our dishes arrived. I could understand if they didn't get it in, but we cancelled a dish and was still charged for it. I had to ask them to remove it. What a great alternative to Lanxang and Thantawan. Food was good. Ordered Nam Kao and Drunken Noodles. Good but disappointingly NOT spicy, even though we ordered 6 peppers out of 6. Thai spicy is supposedly 4 peppers. Next time I'll need to ask differently. They must have said "oh yeah, he's a white guy he doesn't eat spicy. He said 6 peppers, let's give him 1". No "customer service fee", no "takeout fee", no "we hate you coming here to give us your money" fee, unlike Pho Dalat, Pho 88 and others recently.... Street metered parking only. Bleh... Fiyaaaaahhhh. FINALLY. Some authentic Thai and Lao food. It has been a while since I've scored on some really good Southeast Asian cooking. I was In Massachusetts a year ago and could not find this level of quality in food. But, my fam who all lives there refused to leave me disappointed so they coordinated a dinner here the day I arrived. Our party of 7 ordered the following: * Chicken Wings * Papaya Salad * Tom Yum Soup * Sticky Rice and Jasmine Rice * Tilapia * Chicken Larb * Crab Rangoon Since our group was larger, we ordered 2 or 3 of everything and it was SO good. I absolutely fell in love with the papaya salad and chicken wings. There is a spicy tomato dipping sauce (jeow) that you can ask for and it makes all the difference in the world when eating chicken or fish. Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly, and our group enjoyed every bite over good conversation. I even went back two more times after that dinner for takeout. I'm a lifelong fan! I'll be back in Lowell again and this will be the first stop I make once I'm back in town. For locals, y'all already know about this place. Their reputation already speaks for itself. What a find this place was! Purely by accident because parking was a bear, we took the first place we could find and the rest was culinary bliss history as we landed on their front door step searching for a different restaurant. From the Tom Yum to the Penang curry, each item was prepared beautifully with lots of fresh vegetables; deep full flavors with just the right amount of heat in each dish. This restaurant only has about 25 seats; is frequented mostly by the local Asian community and as you might expect is quite busy for good reason. Lao De Cafe closed down so I walked a little further from my hotel to come here based on the reviews and menu! I actually ended up coming here again because it was that good! Larb gai - I ordered it "hot" - oh my god I thought I was gonna die. It was addicting though, so I saved half and ate it another day! It only comes with a side of lettuce and some cucumber and happily I ordered some sticky rice in the event it was too hot. The gai also had chopped bits of liver I think- really delicious and different than the standard ground chicken. Great flavor, a bit on the salty side. Order some rice to soak up the sauce and spice! Boat noodles - I was really planning on ordering something else. The menu didn't make it sound very special and the reviews were very generic ("so good!"), but since I saw it was mentioned a few times, I decided to go for it. Wow, was I impressed! It is a rich spicy rice noodle soup - bun bo hue is the closest dish I can think of but still very different. The soup is very savory, rich, spicy, but also has a bit of tang. There were peppers, fried shallot, and garlic floating around in it. It also came with beef balls and sliced beef as well as bean sprouts, gai lan, and some herbs. It was perfect for a cold and windy day. On this day, I didn't specify heat at all. The normal still packs a ton of heat! My nose was running as I was eating! Fried chicken feet - I decided to go for it after seeing photos- it really is an addictive dish of fried chicken feet topped with garlic, shallots, jalapeño. The sauce is primarily fish sauce I think. This would be a great bar snack. For those who aren't familiar with chicken feet, there's not a lot of meat. In dim sum dishes it's braised so the bones fall off the bone, but when it's fried, it's still pretty tough. This is a crispy snack to gnaw on and spit out the bones. Delicious flavor- salty and garlicky. Not too spicy (didn't specify) but still had a little bit of heat. I wish I was local to Lowell so I could keep eating here!! While I was eating here, some gwei los ordered food but asked for no fish sauce! They were able to accommodate but please don't do this! Fish sauce is such an integral part of southeastern Asian cuisine and adds umami and flavor like nothing else. This is a wonderful authentic place - have faith and enjoy. read more

Six four-tops and two six-tops in a small space, but not cramped. One server on a weekend lunch means occasional waits, but everything gets tended to in a low key manner. Chicken Larb: A warm chicken salad with finely minced chicken as well as chunks, in a zippy condiment. About the chunks: many of them are from the innards of the chicken, but fear not: it adds tons of deep chicken flavor that stands up to the tartness of the lime and the heat of the peppers (integrated as small slices as well as whole ones for garnish or additional usage). Herbs to lighten things up a bit--again, more balance. Probably the best larb dish around. Drunken Noodles: Have you ever had a noodle dish and thought to yourself, "There are way too many noodles and not enough of the good stuff on top"? If so, have I got a noodle dish for you. Here, it's the other way around: you'll have trouble finding the noodles, which are thick and overly soft, but it's loaded with vegetables, and many kinds. Much as the stuff-to-noodle ratio is way higher than most, the sweetness-to-spiciness is a little high too. Though there's plenty of both--which makes this a good dish for those who are tentative about trying Thai food for the first time. Pad See Ew: Another noodle dish, also with a very high stuff-to-noodle ratio and very soft noodles. Sweetness and spice both way down from the Drunken Noodles, with more of an oyster sauce feel. Heard about this place through an instagram story and was in the area. Ordered the Drunken Noodles lunch special for $9.95 (which has increased in price but their menus even in the restaurant don't reflect that). It's a small space inside. The wait was very long even though there weren't that many customers. Probably 15-20 minutes. The first bad part was that I had my order taken to-go and they didn't close the plastic lid all the way tight so the sauce spilled inside the plastic bag. Then I noticed the container was very light upon picking it up. I opened the lid back in my car and saw it was extremely soupy for a stir-fried noodle dish that I'm very familiar with. It was very spicy and sour, not like how Drunken Noodles is typically seasoned. There were only a few "chunks" (quite literally layers stuck together ) of the flat rice noodles at the bottom with mostly veggies on top and what looked like thin slices of previously frozen chicken breast. It didn't even come with rice (considering how much liquid there was you could have called it a red curry dish). And there was a sole small piece of crab rangoon on the other empty half of the takeout container. The flavors were ok, but definitely not your typical expectation of Drunken Noodles. I ordered 5 party trays from them on nye for my mom's bday. I went to get it at 2, as scheduled, but Some of the trays weren't all completed (just 2), but they were very apologetic. I also noticed they had many orders they were also completing. I didn't mind, as I notice everything is freshly made, so it made waiting worth it. The fried chicken was just finishing up and the smell of it was so good. They packed everything very neatly and took time to make sure we were happy with everything. We got fried chicken, nam khao, Chicken laab, papaya salad, and fried rice. Each dish was really good. My mom, who is also a chef, loved every dish. The best part was we had so much left over to eat again the next days! I loved the service here and having the pricing for party trays up front was very helpful. The crispy egg rolls were sooo good, definitely crispy and delicious, and the sauce that accompanied them was amazing. We also got the fresh spring rolls which were also perfect. Because the food was so good , we even had our wonderful waitress , she was sensational, place more food to go. We had the incredible larb Gai ( Chicken) with a 6 Stars ( it was SPICY like we want it), the phenomenal "Laos Style" papaya salad , 6 Stars, with the perfect amount of seasoning including the presentation, and the mind blowing Lad Nah which includes everything you can imagine. The freshness of the vegetables was apparent by their crispness, despite being served super hot out of the wok.
