I wanted to love this place based on the high reviews but unfortunately it fell short based on our preferences with more misses than hits. We got the following items to try so maybe other dishes are better. Crab Rangoon (3/5) -it was good - definitely a bit different than the typical and XTRA crispy. Pineapple Fried Rice (3.5/5) - it was good curry flavor and a bit peppery - we enjoyed this dish. Papaya Salad (2/5) - we asked for level 4 spicy and asked if they could do it without the fermented shrimp paste but they Chef could not accommodate. We tried it anyways and although it wasn't as pungent/fishy as we expected, it was WAY too salty for our taste. No sour, no sweetness, just salty/spicy. Crying Tiger (0/5) - we saw this on the menu and unfortunately this was NOT what we had expected at all. We asked for the steak to be medium rare, it came out well done and the steak was chewier than leather. We took a few bites and called it quits. Grapow Gai (4/5) - this dish was the only one that I would probably reorder and recommend. The flavors were good, came with a fried egg on top over rice. read more

I couldn't decide what I wanted and we got the dishes to try and planned to be back ASAP. We got beef jerky to share, it was perfect. Sweet and served w sauce that enhanced the flavors. I literally went back and fourth and ended up ordering the pineapple fried rice & Thai basil tofu stir fry while my husband got the crying tiger. We ARE PLEASED! The tofu, my lord was perfectly cooked and the rice and stir fry so flavorful, I want more now. My husbands crying tiger was a little over cooked but he didn't care, the meat wasn't dried out and the sauce was just the right amount of spice. This food is phenomenal!! Truly flavorful, homemade to order, crisp greens, colorful veg, the tapioca balls you wrap in crisp lettuce and bright herbs is a carnival for your mouth! The sausages have the perfect caramelized sear. The duck buns are tasty. We have tried tons of the menu and have loved every bite. Really. Complaints are that service seems stressed and stretched and take-out time is alllways underestimated because they focus on in store diners.. read more

I ordered the larb seen (beef), Tom yum seafood soup, and papaya salad. I typically go to Lanxang star in Dracut but decided to give these guys a try. The larb seen beef portion was very tiny. The cabbage/lettuce took up 2/3 of the box. Typically the cabbage/ lettuce are packaged separately. Let's not be cheap on our portions here!! The Tom Yum soup was abnormally sweet and consisted of 1 measly, dry piece of squid, 1 mushroom sliced in half, 2 shrimp and some cherry tomatoes. The seafood did not taste fresh. Again, you guys just opened, shouldn't you try to impress your customers with fresh ingredients?! The papaya salad was okay. Had a fresh taste like I'm used to. read more

So happy to see another Laotian restaurant open up! We got the Fried Chicken (not spicy) + sticky rice & my 2 year old daughter inhaled these. Chicken was nice & crunchy.. juuust the way we like it. The little pork belly baos were really good. These were also inhaled. For our entrees we got Pad See Ew with Pork.. it was SO BOMB! The noodles were perfectly soft, egg nicely cooked in, lots of crunchy chinese broccoli & carrots (not overcooked or undercooked), & a huge portion! We also ordered the Grapow Gai & it was so comforting. Another huge portion of ground chicken & veggies served with white rice. We love these kind of counter service Asian establishments, it reminds us of the amazing strip mall restaurants in Los Angeles. My boyfriend and I visited Laos Thai Kitchen on a Lao food tour of Lowell so we were not extremely hungry but wished to try at least a couple of dishes. We ended up ordering the Lao jerky and the Nam Khao. The jerky came out first as an appetizer. It looked like it had been cut into smaller strips, fried, and tossed in a red pepper sauce. I'd only had it served in bigger strips so this was a treat. The jerk was a bit crispy, a bit chewy, and a bit spicy. We both really enjoyed it. A big plate of Nam Khao came out next, with a side of lettuce and herbs. I took a few bites and noted that it wasn't too spicy but then the server patiently told us that we can nibble on the fried chilis before bites to add heat, which is the authentic way to eat it. I've had Nam Khao at a few different places over the years and haven't been told that so was excited to learn something new. The salad was a delicious mix of toasted spiced rice with the fermented sausage and tripe. It's my favorite salad in the world and I love adding a bunch of herbs to the dish to brighten it up. The portion was so generous that we still took some to go but we will be back for more. When we went in, the restaurant was pretty busy so it's obviously very popular. There was only one woman serving but she was very friendly and patient with everyone. I was ready to order so many more dishes but we had no room for it. We can't wait to come back to try the tapioca balls and their version of Lao sausage. read more

I had this dish at Cha Yen Thai in Watertown, which was far superior. Service so so. The young lady did not seem to care much about friendliness. I've had food from here a couple of times. The food is great. For takeout, I've tried: lahp chicken, nam khao, tapioca balls, fried chicken feet (only have it fresh, otherwise, you'd break your teeth trying to bite through.) As for dine in, I finally tried the infamous boat noodles. This is the second time I've ever had boat noodles. Compared to another restaurant, the flavors were significantly different, I guess I'm not too sure how it's actually supposed to taste. I know everyone has their own way, but shouldn't they be somewhat similar? Anyway, the Thai boat noodles was rich, savory, sour and had a enough noodles and protein to fill me right up. My husband has the khao poon gai (chicken), he said he enjoyed it and would return for it on a nice cool day. Atmosphere: meh... the half painted walls could use another coat or two. Seemed as if they rushed opening the restaurant. The menus were icky. Yes, icky, I think of little children's sticky icky fingers all over them when the waitress handed me the menu. They should probably take a week to spruce up the place and order new menus with new prices bc it wasn't up to date. I even saw a customer complain to the waitress about the prices and she responded "everything is expensive now you know". Finally, from ordering our food to being served, took 15 mins. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Maybe 5 mins later another couple walked in. I also saw 2 people there for takeout orders. Food was hands down amazing. We ordered the fried dalimari, papaya salad, boat noodles and chicken larb. Everything was perfect and the spice was definitely there but in a good way. Service was good though I think it did get a tad bit busy at one point and the one girl working was a bit overwhelmed by it. This has become a weekly spot for us as we love authentic Thai food. The family that runs this restaurant are such amazing people and they do everything from scratch and you can tell I'm their food. The highlight though is the authentic Thai Boat Noodles! To find a bwtter bowl you would have to spend 27 hours on a plane! Finally! Papaya salad made with love. I have been here a few times already and they've just opened up! Their hospitality is always a pleasure. I love the spiciness of their papaya salad, even though I only order "medium" spicy, I swear it's around 8/9 peppers. I love it! We love their dumplings as well! My husband had their Kao Piek today and he was so satisfied with the chicken that use. It wasn't just white meat, chicken breast, it had dark meat, which is so much more flavorful. Small shop with some great boat noodles. I don't recall them being on the menu I was given a few weeks ago in Aug 2021, but if you ask they should have it available. We arrived shortly after 5:00 on a Friday night. Heading to a concert downtown afterwards. We ordered pad Thai and a vegetable stir fry with shrimp. Both were excellent and served quickly. The first thing that I noticed was my husband's food was hot. Sometimes the food is good but it's as if it's sat for too many minutes. My dish was perfectly cooked. The shrimp tender!
