In the aftermath of all the pandemic and SAG strike chaos, I was eager to get back to work and needed some new headshots to help me get back into the fray. A friend in the industry recommended Todd. I was very impressed by the eye-catching photos in his ads, which kept popping up on my Instagram, and his rates seemed very fair for the quality of the work he was putting out. Setting up the appointment was fast and easy, requiring a $25 deposit. His website helped me figure out which wardrobe choices to bring. On the day, it all went very smoothly. Although I've been acting in LA since 1986 and SAG-AFTRA since 1987, headshot sessions have always been a stressful event for me, due to my CRBF (Chronic Resting B**ch Face). They tend to come out either looking like I've been embalmed or else a lot angrier-looking than my actual mood. However, Todd and his makeup/hair assistant, Maureen, made me feel completely at ease during the process, and Maureen made sure my hair looked good and that my shirt wasn't bunching up during the shoot. She also helped me keep my energy up with her sense of humor. I liked that he wasn't a rapid-fire style photographer. He meticulously took the time to get the head angle, shoulder positions, and facial expressions just right before each shot. He would show me the photos as we went, and was open to my suggestions, like changing up the background or the hairstyle. He uses mostly natural light, which gave a natural feel to the photos, but in a way that was still flattering. He sent me a link to the shots the same day, and I shared them with my agent. In the end, I had several excellent photos that captured the human behind the CRBF! And my agent loved them. Since he's so affordable, I plan to return soon and try some different looks. read more

I loved how affordable it was and Todd was amazing at directing how to pose and what facial expressions to make. The prices are pretty affordable for LA and the quality of the pictures are amazing. I highly recommend to book their makeup artist Maureen Rose when you take your headshot session because she would touch up while shooting and also fix your hair. She had such amazing energy and a nice aura about her! She does a very natural makeup perfect for headshots and does makeup to your liking. There is music playing in the studio to set the mood. I reached out the next day and quickly received a reply from Todd and within a day we had confirmed an appointment for the following week. (No waiting! YAY) I had a very clear vision in mind for this headshot round and Todd gracefully and respectfully heard out my ideas and really let me go with what I had envisioned. If you are looking for headshots that are beautiful, a great value, and you can schedule same week (no more waiting months to get the shots you needed YESTERDAY, lol) then do yourself a favor a book a shoot! Todd is hands down, the best, fastest, most efficient photographer I've ever worked with. I was able to shoot 5 looks in no joke, 1-1.5 hours. While you're getting your hair and makeup done, he's setting up so no time is lost and he also gives you direction on how to face/pose. I like how the face, especially the eyes are super clear and poignant in the photos. He's super chill and friendly so shooting with him makes it very easy going. I found him rude and quite strange. While I had a curling iron in my hair he says, "are you almost done? My next client will be here in 15 minutes." We hadn't even shot yet. We scheduled for me to do my own hair/mu but never said I'd arrive in 90 degree weather in the heart of downtown LA ready to shoot the second upon arrival. That's something that must be clarified. But Todd was out for a quick buck, so booked his actors within about an hour of each other. While I was rushing doing my makeup -- since the next client was 15 minutes away, he sat on the couch- watching me... saying things like "you should have been more prepared". Not to mention his studio was like 95 degrees, only AC blowing over by the window. I came out with a couple of good pictures, by the grace of God and because I pulled it together- but it was a terrible experience. If he wasn't so rude, lets talent know to arrive in hair/MU, informs them on parking, and isn't rude to their guests, or tries to sneak in a cash (venmo) payment @ the end, I can see how some people could have a decent experience. read more
