It was spa month when I went I got the CBD Swedish Massage and they all come with a day pass to all the hotel amenities including the spa amenities which made it worth the price. The massage was $160 and their auto-gratuity landed us for about $210 for the day. I love the two ladies that took care of all us ladies. The energy in there was so peaceful and loving. It was beautiful, serene, and super clean. The lockeroom, bathroom, and shower were all super well kept. They also have everything you need to get ready after your spa day available. Hairbrush, blow dryers, sunscreen, face lotion, everything. Pro Tip: before you walk in there's a bunch of bath and beauty products for sale some of which are up for free samples. DO NOT BOOK HERE! There is nothing luxurious about poor customer service. I was so excited to book at lapis with a friend. We wanted to see if we could move our appointments closer together either for the day scheduled or over the next two days. We were flexible. Mind you, I am trying to make this adjustment almost a week prior so this isn't a last minute request. Tell me why I called and left multiple messages over two days as well as sent a email to receive not one attempt of communication back. Not only does Lapis not answer their phone and sends you straight to a voicemail but it proves impossible to reach even for the hotel staff! (I tried calling through the hotel) If the spa doesn't have enough staff to answer the phone, why have a spa at a hotel? When you're about to spend $500+ customer service better be top notch. If I could give zero stars I would. We cancelled our services and are going elsewhere. read more

The grounds are completely beautiful but it definitely has its ups and downs. Pretty pricey for what we received. Spa wasn't difficult to find on the hotels grounds. Checking in was pretty easy especially since we had 7 people in our group. Now when I booked our reservation over the phone the online price had said $180 for "The Fountain Bleu" package and after booking the lady said it was $225 per person.. so naturally I questioned and instead of explaining or breaking down the charges she just sort of brushed me off and stated that the $225 was already with the discount. So maybe it was including gratuity; not sure because even when paying there is no breakdown on the receipt. When being shown to our lockers there was some type of tension between the receptionist and the spa area lady( not sure what her title was) but the lockers given to us were very close by so we literally needed to wait for each person to put there stuff up which took longer. It would have been nice given lockers spaced out some from the people in our group. We also were promised a tour of the grounds but never happened. The Fountain Bleu package came with access to the grounds of the hotel (pool, beach, hot tub) 50 min massage - Swedish or hot stone and lunch at their restaurant La Cote. We arrived around 2ish and was informed that the restaurant closes at 3(if I can remember correctly) and there was an hour wait at the moment. So we had to rush to go eat before they closed or we would have missed out on that part of the packages we purchased. When came time to our massage time I was completely disappointed. When my masseuse walked me to my room I was a little freaked out because it literally looked like an insane asylum in a scary movie. Everything was white with no life in the decor, a bunch of rooms with red light above and no noise. The only light seem to be from the red lights above the rooms; A little scary. The massage was whack in my opinion. I really felt like I paid $200 for someone to rub lotion on my body, there was no pressure what's so ever. All in all I felt as if were left to find out the grounds ourselves and customer service/communication could have improved. My only complaint is that there isn't much co-ed space in the spa, except the swimming pool, so I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked with my partner. It's disappointing to see similar concerns being made on Yelp from months ago regarding this establishment. But I will still share my experience with the hopes that positive change will be made . The phone etiquette was poor. When I called 3 weeks prior to make reservations for my sister the person who answered was having another conversation with her co-worker (not even work related), then the call was abruptly ended/dropped. The staff was not knowledgeable on the services provided. I should have honestly not booked, but I grew up coming to this hotel, so I wanted to give it a chance. When we arrived on the day of our spa treatment, the front receptionist were not warm/welcoming/friendly. The place looks very dingy, ran down, old. Tile were missing, showers out of service, towels and bath robes old and also dingy. The area to comb your hair was dirty and they left brushes that people had used prior which also had hair left in them. The grouting was molded/black. You will see a lot of corrosion as well on the steel appliances. The white furniture has make up stains and hair. IT IS SUPER DIRTY! The staffs uniforms look like they have been used for the past 50 years without being renewed. My masseuse was kind but I also left disappointed with the massage service . I do not recommend coming here for spa treatment in my humble opinion. The positive, however, is my sister masseuse was phenomenal! The pool outside was very nice and luxurious. Quality- not what you would expect from a spa inside of a 5 star hotel. What they don't tell you is that "engineering is actively trying to fix the broken lockers" in the men's locker room and that a majority of them might not be operational. Thus could create an embarrassment for the poor men's locker room attendant trying to find the guest a working locker to secure their belongings. This created a slow down for check in to the spa which created a snowball effect for the spa experience. I came to have a spa day by myself with the package "girls just wanna have fun" and I enjoyed it. The people in the spa are great. Is a pretty popular hotel so is always busy and full, I attend to enjoy some time by the pool to get some sun, and was impossible to find a chair but I guess is not that part of the spa so don't count. Service in the spa is perfect they have lockers to save your stuff and bath suits to be comfy since you're around the spa trying different rooms. I came for a facial massage and was delicious perfect amount of time the woman was very nice, and after that, I get a manicure and pedicure perfect too they use good products and they offer you hot te or cookies in the time you're there. The people who work there know for sure what they're doing they're good at it. I update my package to change to regular polish for gel and for me was a little pricy they charge me 70$ for the change from regular polish to gel which means I paid almost for a manicure that was included in the package. There are multiple for the same spa, this is for the one located inside fontainebleau Miami. Terrible massage and they don't care because they will never see you again. Today I had the master massage 50min at the spa waiting for my room to be ready. Myself and 2 other women were with me. When inside the spa we were given a robe, and locker. The hostess did not give a tour or anything, all she said was everything is down the hall. We decided to look around, and ended up going in the hot tub. When we got out we went to take a shower. The showers had no place to put clothes, towel, or wet bathing suits. Everything would literally need to be on the floor. The only hook was outside the door, so you had to risk being seen naked to open the door to get your towel. When I turned on the shower despite turning the handle towards hot it never got warm. I took a cold shower thinking I just went into the broke one or something. When we were all done with the shower, the other 2 women said theirs was cold too. Now to the massage...when I went in she asked if pressure was ok and that this massage had hot stones and stretching. I said I get massages monthly so I'm good with pressure, if you find anything work it out. She started and only used pressure ONE time and it was used wrong. The massage was basically like her applying oil and just rubbing it in, like someone was putting your sunscreen on. Using your forearm vertically to go up the back following the spinal process and over the shoulder is good. She used her forearm horizontally going over all my back rib bones. The hot stones were used also as a way to rub oil into my skin, no pressure what so ever. There was too much time in between getting the rocks hot and hot towels. I feel like all and all my hands on actual massage time was 40min. It is frustrating when I know how much this cost $275, only to be really disappointed. I appreciated that the prenatal massage included a pillow top that allowed me to lay on my stomach. We were very skeptical of the spa given recent reviews. The spa needs upgrading. The toilet/shower areas are older and look dirty. In the coed pool there was a couple talking loudly on FaceTime and others displaying a lot of PDA. What can someone say about the Bleau, it's an epic hotel. Coming in it smells like money, it's expensive. You'll need several Benjamin Franklin's to roll in here. One of the many features of the hotel is the Lapis Spa. We booked a couples massage since it's spa month. $450 for both of us which includes access to the pool and beach. Let's start with the entrance. You're given a warm welcome by staff upon arrival as you pass the spa's store... They have an assortment of candles, soaps cream and luxury lounging merchandise. The check in staff is warm and hospitable. The men's section is what you would expect. Lockers for all your belongings. Plenty of showers, baths, sinks for shaving and all your other needs. The sauna and steam room were nice and also what you would expect from a luxury spa. The steam room was pretty great, the steam released eucalyptus oil which was a pleasant surprise. My complaint is the cosmetics, several broken tiles. Especially at the edges of the sitting areas that have not been attended too for quite sometime, you can tell because of the black molding inside the white grouted / thin-set area. Inside the mens pool area and in the coed pool again some broking coping and black mold on the coping in both pools, especially the mens pool. Paver edging makes it rough on your feet. You would think they would have an Infinity edge with travertine or some other material. The seating in the coed as area had black mold markings in the creases as well, it needed to be cleaned. In my opinion, Lapis is in need of remodeling. The staff however, top notch. We had a great time and I would go again, but Lapis doesn't crack my top 10. read more

Had a great spa day at Lapis! Enjoyed the pool beforehand then went for a couples massage. The facility is well kept and the masseuses were incredibly professional and communicative- appreciated it! They had light snacks like fruit and nuts with infused water all around. My favorite part was the eucalyptus steam room. It was great to work up the sweat then rinse off and enjoy the waterfall shower in the co-ed pool space. I could spend all day in Lapis! Only con was one of the spa attendants was very pushy and rushed me to my treatment (15 minutes early, I was about to shower and then couldn't) she also rushed me to change to my robe when I already told her we were going to the pool before enjoying the spa. I literally had to change, she switched me to another attendant who finished the tour, then I changed back to go to the pool. Very annoying. Would have liked for her to listen and acknowledge what I wanted. read more

I've been dying to find a luxurious day spa, so I was super excited to try Lapis. I came here on a girls' day to try the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" package. There is parking is available for $16 for 5 hours and $54 for anything after ie the full day. But, of course the spa didn't have availability to accommodate our services within the 5 hours window, so naturally we had to pay $54 for 6 hours. Be mindful of this when booking your services. Pros: - access to the whole facility - friendly staff - lockers - co-ed pools - package deals Cons: - facial only lasted 30 minutes, it felt extremely short. Right when I was about to feel relaxed it was over. I would recommend the facial be set to a 1 hour session instead. - clean towels aren't restocked often, so I kept having to leave inside the spa to go all the way back to the lockers out front to get a clean towel. - this facility doesn't have a sauna or heated spa beds. I felt like there were too many pool options. - the refreshments sections was lackluster with a hodgepodge of mini snacks, uncovered in disposable gelatin shot cups (not COVID conscious)...this section needs major revamping. There weren't even cold towels in the labeled fridge. While the day was relaxing, this spa needs a little TLC considering its inside of the Fontainebleau. After enjoying an amazing birthday weekend in Miami, my friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a spa day at the Lapis Spa. After checking in we changed into our bathing suits and put our items in our designated lockers. After, we were given a quick tour of the spa and then headed to the pool to take advantage of our day at the Fontainebleau. After spending sometime relaxing by the pool we headed back to the spa for our appointments. My treatment was great and if I could give my massage five stars I would. After our massage like many other people we enjoyed the spas amenities. The indoor pool, sauna, and the lounge areas to continue to relax. We were never told what time the spa closed but had always planned to head out early to get ready for our dinner reservation. As I sat in the lounge area on the women's side many people that were working in the spa walked past me. As it was a room with transparent glass walls they could clearly see me sitting there reading a magazine. It's shocking that no one thought to let me know they were getting ready to close. That's bad service and inconsiderate on its own. Mind you this is a spa so I'm not wearing a watch and I'm not really looking at my phone. (Also they never told me what time they were closing) Around 6ish I got up to check on my friend who was taking a little snooze on the chairs by the jacuzzi on the women's side to let her know we should head out to get ready for dinner. As we walked into the locker room area, imagine our surprise to see a worker walking away with my Louis Vuitton bag, my clothes, and all of our personal belongings in a trash bag! "Hey that's my stuff where are you going?!" The worker looked just as shocked to see me. Did they ever think to check if there was anyone else left in the spa or clear out the area? Mind you I am in a robe and all of my clothes are in my bag... where do they think we are going to go if we weren't in the spa. Anyone who has been to this spa knows that it's really not that big and we were only in the women's side near the locker room this whole time. This was bad enough, but wait there's more... As I take my things out of the lady's hands I immediately thought to check to see if all my belongings are there (as I think anyone would if a stranger was walking away with their purse). As I check my bag everything seems to be be fine but when my friend opens her wallet, all her cash was missing!!! Did it disappear? Where did it go? Who took it? Questions that need answers. The lady immediately acted defensive, I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt because I was never saying she did it, but someone did. We filed a report with the Fontainebleau security and were told that they would reach out... they never did. The worst part is that we really had a nice day and enjoyed the service at the Fontainebleau. But in the end this is the worst way to ruin a relaxing day and the end to a birthday trip. I once wrote and felt that Lapis Spa was the best spa in the US. Not anymore. Last week during a visit to Miami I booked two treatments for two different days. I was appalled at the lack of cleanliness in the facilities. From dirt to mold and missing signage/ letters the once beautiful spa I visited in 2016 is disgusting. I visited on a Wednesday and saw 2 tea stains on a table in the guest area for snacks, came back on Friday those stains were still there. Also saw ripped up and dirty ottomans in the same room. The mineral pool clearly needs updating and deep cleaning. The marble around the building shows signs of needing deep cleaning and how can a manager walk pass missing letters on the wall and not get this and other visible signs of decay fixed. The bathrooms were disgusting and no real amenities. Truly sad. I visited so excited and convinced a friend to come as well selling that this was my fav spa in US and had to apologize to her because her massage was horrible with the therapist only having a towel to cover her body and she was freezing the whole time. Finally, while my practitioners were great, customer service sucks. I never once saw anyone cleaning, the check in ladies were always talking to each other and not attentive. I loved Lapis Spa. The experience was second to none, and I wanted to gift this to someone very special to me. I went ahead and purchased a gift card for that someone. This card has sufficient funds for a massage treatment. I went ahead and scheduled the treatment for this person. It prompted me to enter a credit card to hold the reservation-- no problem. I went ahead and booked and let the person know that they were ready to go. Monday at 10 am. That day, there was a huge traffic jam all over Miami at that time. I called Lapis and Michael was extremely kind to let me know there was actually a cancellation at 1 pm and that I could move it for this person to be able to enjoy their treatment. Awesome from Lapis. At 1 pm my friend arrived for service and was told that there was no reservation with his name in their system. He calls me and informs me of this. I immediately call Lapis and ask what was going on-- they told me they'd get back to me. My friend calls me back and told me that reservation was never confirmed because the card they had on file (mine) didn't go through, and proceeded to tell him that we owed $30 and that this account was delinquent as per the Fontainebleau. Not once was I called and told that there was an issue with the card or that I was in delinquency with them. If I had been notified, I would have taken care of it immediately so that the person I gifted this to would have been able to enjoy their gift. In fact, when Michael and I spoke to change the reservation for 1 pm, not once did he mention this to me. Nor did I receive a call that this needed to be handled. I was mortified and so was my friend, that he arrived here and was told this by the person at Lapis. Needless to say, it was a huge disappointment- for my friend because he couldn't enjoy his gift, and for me because my excitement for someone dear to me to experience this place ended up in embarrassment, disappointment and wasted time. I had a Swedish Massage with Valentina. She started by asking me questions about my preference, injury or medical condition. She started my massage with massage oils, then performed various massage strokes. My massage was just right. The relaxing music, and hot towels at the end was a nice touch too. As part of the package, you can use the spa facilities like the coed and men's mineral jetted pools, steam room, and the bleau rain room/rain shower. The start of the spa experience was not the greatest. The wait in line to check-in at the spa took 20-30 minutes. It was longer then what you would see during spa month. To add to the wait the check in attendants took someone ahead of us without any explanation. We had to ask them in order to know why. Also not all check-in attendants were able to handle cash payments. We had to be transferred to another attendant to do that. The next stop was the locker and robe pickup, which the previous attendant will escort you too. They were quick in this portion and had plus size robe sizes, which is not always the case even at larger or resort spas. The amenities that come with the spa are the best feature of the spa. It has an indoor coed pool that's heated, which was great with the chillier weather. I recommend though getting there with an hour prior to your service to make sure you can get your robe and lockers with time. I came here Saturday for the first time with three of my friends who have previously been here before. Although its a beautiful location, I left desiring more for a luxury spa. There was a line at check-in when we arrived, but it moved pretty quickly since there were three people behind the counter. We were escorted to the front of the locker room and met with someone else once inside. The robes handed to you are nothing special and the slippers are just ugly, bulky rubber ones. I would recommend just bringing your own footwear. I expected a more luxurious robe for the location. The locker room area was very clean and plenty of clean towels were stacked up. Unfortunately, it was raining the day we came so we could only really enjoy the inside amenities and did not go into the outside pools or beach area. There are essentially 6 different things you can do inside the spa. There's a 'quiet room' with about 4 chairs to relax on and take a nap if you so desire. A hot tub with a couple lounge chairs, a 'rain room' where water flows from the ceiling in different temperatures and pressures that you walk through. There is also a steam room that is supposed to smell of eucalyptus, but we didn't smell anything. People also left their eye cucumber slices just thrown about on the benches. Lastly would be a co-ed pool that has some lounge chairs set up and another 'rain room' area where you can lay on a bench and have the water fall on your back. That particular rain room really irritated my eyes from the chlorinated water. Don't expect to get a lounge chair anywhere if this place has more than 15 people inside. And people do not hesitate to hoard chairs with their towels. After we experienced the amenities, it was time for my 50 minute massage. The waiting area upstairs is pretty and very clean. My masseuse showed up on time, but that was about the only good part of the massage. She did not talk to me to ask me about any concerns, only where to place my robe. All she asked is if it was okay to massage my head and touch my hair. I let her know that I wanted her to mainly focus on my back and to use as much pressure as she wanted. I received a full body massage with no focus on my back and barely any pressure. A very 'meh' massage for the price and place. Overall, I'd probably only be interested in a day pass to the spa unless there is some amazing masseuse that I missed out on. Maybe a facial would be better. I can't imagine what the spa would like if it was full of people and how you could even relax. My husband and I came to Lapis during our vacation. I'm in my third trimester of pregnancy and this was my 4th massage during my pregnancy. Not only was it the worst pregnancy massage, but one of the worst massages I've ever had. The masseuse would lightly graze my skin as if someone was just brushing up against me. When I asked her to focus on certain areas she did for a little bit, but again it was light touching, not massaging. I was also told she would not touch my feet because they were dirty, which didn't make me feel good. The facilities were very nice and all other employees were great. I picked this spa because they had a specific pregnancy massage, but I would not recommend this place for a massage at all. I gave the spa a one star for the massage only. read more

I was so excited to go to this spa at the Fountainbleu. We booked a couples hot stone massage. The check in process was fine and the locker rooms were spacious and clean. We really enjoyed the coed pool. However, the massage was probably the worse massage I have ever had and very disappointing. It was supposed to be a 50 minute massage and we were in the room for only 45 minutes and half that time we were not getting a massage! My massage therapist kept walking away and taking breaks. It seemed she changed the rocks literally every 60 seconds. In total, I maybe had 25 minutes of a 50 minute massage. Additionally, the massage was so fast passed I felt like I was being rubbed by the road runner!! It was not relaxing nor enjoyable at all. read more

Horrible customer services, after a quick full body massage for two, the massage lady literately quick us out of the room bcse they need the room for their next app, unbelievable we couldn't even use the bathroom to change, they said we need to change in the lockers, I've never seen something like this before specially at that "category " they just want your money and then quick out they don't care about your relax, they never offer nothing to drink upon arrival .... Don't recommend that you ruin a nice moment with such unprofessional staff...I'll never book a massage in this place ever again ... the lady even yelled at us to leave the room 5 min after massage was done ! read more

SCAM !!!!! I went here and spent 500.00 , the services were subpar for the amount . I didn't complain, until today ! These sneaky people went and charged 20 bucks back to back 4 times. I called them immediately upon checking my bank statement, the first phone call I said "I came there yesterday and spent 500 dollars why was my card charged 4 more times for 20 dollars" they immediately hung up. I showed up 15 minutes late however the front desk sent me up and told me it would be fine. I waited for the massage therapist 50 minutes before she rudely told me I was a no show. if you are expecting good customer service and care, this is not the place. had they stated it was a problem in the beginning I would have been fine rescheduling.
