got an amazing shorter "ApresX" set earlier this afternoon: 1 coat OPI Funny Bunny + 2 coats OPI Bubblebath + got upper lip waxed. great prices, quality, and selection of services. I showed the sweet manager my reference photo and asked what the best way to achieve it was. we chatted and she said, "Apres" while pointing me to one of the nail techs whose name I wish I caught! 11/24/24 2PM mani -- she was meticulous yet very efficient. I was in and out for both services in about an hour! Incredibly satisfied and although I'll only come back for nails, I'm excited for my next visit. I can't stop looking at them lol The only things I'm confused about/would like clarification on as I want to know exactly what I'm receiving so I can ask for the right service: Apres doesn't have Anais listed as a provider, I don't remember seeing any Apres polishes (tbf I didn't look super closely since I knew I wanted OPI), and the set of gel tips was not from an Apres box set. It was my first time receiving this style but have seen friends get it done in Manhattan where all the criteria was met. This place isn't worth the money nor the injury. I went here the evening of Nov 14 for a manicure and pedicure the night before a cruise.They put me in a pedicure chair and did both at the same time (which I was totally fine with) For my manicure I got dip and, when the tech was prepping my nails, she kept using the drill at a super high setting and on multiple occasions I had to tell her it burned. The gels didn't even last two weeks (which is the minimum my place at home guarantees them for)...two nails actually POPPED OFF within the first week! And they were super sloppy. I had to take cuticle trimmers to the underside to chip away the buildup. The pedicure was even worse! Despite telling the girl multiple times she needed to be more careful, she started the pedicure by making my big toe bleed at the cuticle. Then, when she was doing my left foot, she got callous remover on my regular skin. I told her it was burning and she told me that I just had sensitive skin. I told her no, she put it on my regular skin, which you're not supposed to do. By the right foot I'd have expected her to be more careful. She used the fingers of her hooves hand to apply it to my foot and then REPEATEDLY continued to touch my bare skin with the same gloved fingers that she put the chemical on. I told her MULTIPLE times it was burning and asked her twice to change her gloves, which she didn't do. She again tried to tell me I had sensitive skin. At the end of the appointment brought it to the manager's attention quietly and she couldn't have cared less UNTIL I asked if the tech had her licence and if I could see it and I took a photo. It turns out she brought me someone else's licence (Mercy and the girl that did my pedicure was Beebee). That's when she called both girls over and spoke to them in Spanish. Being Canadian, my Spanish isn't great, but I understood enough to know the girl admitted to using callous remover. The manger then informed me that, in seven years, this girl had never had a complaint. I find that hard to believe given her carelessness. She took the pedicure off the bill, but I still (overpaid) $70 for a crappy manicure. Two weeks later I still have skin damage where the burn was, which I hope won't scar permanently. And to top it off, she didn't even do a very good job removing the callouses (and I get monthly pedicures, so it wasn't that bad to begin with). read more

I was looking for a nail salon nearby since I had some time to kill and found Anaïs which was only a couple blocks away. I called to see if they would squeeze me in for a mani/pedi and they could do I made my way over! The price is very affordable for the area but you also get when you pay for. Don't expect all the bells and whistles for a basic mani/pedi: not hot towel, no massage, no drinks, etc. but that was no issue for me, I just needed something basic! I knocked a star because their polish selection for regular polish is very limited and a lot of the polishes are dried out and need to be replaced. I also did not see them use brand new tools, she just grabbed tools in her kit and once she was done she put it right back. My mani/pedi was okay, I've had better. I don't think I would come back since it's out of my way and it was just okay but if you're in a pinch it'll work. read more

I keep coming back because it's convenient and each time I pray the experience will be better but nope. I called at 2pm for a gel pedicure at 4pm, she said no problem see you then. I get here at 3:58 and after hearing the woman at the front desk tell a woman to do my toes and someone else's nails at the same time I knew it was going to be a bad time. She started the water and I sat there for 35 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge me. Finally the front desk woman (owner?) came over and yelled at the woman who was supposed to be taking care of me. Finally 40 minutes in she sits down and starts my pedicure. I have never in 27 years had a pedicure where they cut my toes but today was it. As she was cutting the cuticles she butchered my big toe and it was unbelievably painful, especially when she then sprayed it with alcohol. Every touch of that spot is painful. I don't know what it is about this place but there seems to be a lack of care and experience. Also to add that throughout the pedicure she would check her phone for a few minutes at a time. I've been to their Washington Avenue location previously and thought I'd punched that location on Uber. The plan was to go unwind, have my hands look like out of GQ magazine then head to the beach. Apparently my fingers slipped and settled on this location. Well, everything happens for a reason, because I had a great massage. This will be another short review since again I melted into a nice nap with my masseuse's hands. First, I had my nails trimmed neatly and had my hands worked on. I mean between the computer, mouse and switching the grips on weights or the spinning bike they get really tired..good night :) Next up and a quick walk upstairs to the same room they I use for waxing I was getting a massages to loosen up the effects of two 90 minute spinning classes (and left me ready to walk a mile later.) The spa was clean and to my experience the employees were courteous. I'd definitely keep coming back to either here or their Washington Ave location. read more

She also had raggedy tips on her own nails that didn't have a finish of any sort (gel nor acrylic) I guess she had been in the process of doing her own nails. I loved this nail spot. I was on my way to get a massage but I saw this place and yelp had good reviews. I had extra time so why not! First off, super clean environment with good music and they are enforcing social distancing and have plexiglass around the pedicure/massage chairs. I believe Chiara (sorry if I butcher the name) gave me a pedicure. My feet needed some TLC and she spent extra time makes the soles of me feet super smooth. I did notice she spent a lot of time removing dead skin. Thank you girlie!! My feet looked fabulous the rest of my vacation. Staying in Miami for a bit and wanted to find a one-stop, reasonable and clean nail spa that does the basic - waxing, mani & pedi. I called and spoke to François, made my appointment and showed up accordingly. The young lady that did my waxing and pedicure was good but didn't speak a drop of English. That said, once she started my pedicure, it was difficult for me to communicate my preferences to her (disadvantage of me for not speaking spanish). Although I know other techs could have translated and have done it, I just didn't want to bother another technicians while they were attending to another customers (I don't like when my nail technician is distracted as well). Moved on to my mani, Laura was excellent, she knows her stuff and did an awesome job. About the spa - -management/François seems to be kind but doesn't know the names of all the services he offers or knows it under different names. -the spa was kept in a reasonable manner- not spotless nor messy (I probably won't make it my go-to nail spa if I was living here). -I chipped a nail a day after (and was determined to have it fixed for the price I paid but I was also going to a function and want to have a proper mani). Do yourself a favor, save your money and just grab a new color nail polish across the street at CVS. The place was the worst experience I have had, so much so that I decided to cancel the pedicure and left after the manicure. It's dirty (used utensils, nail clippings and towels everywhere) and the staff is rude. The "manicure" was essentially just a polish, and the polish had clearly been watered down, to the point it took 3 coats to even make it look like it was on my nails. There are bumps, strings and unevenness all over. The staff was speaking unkindly about their boss and the customers (not in English). I was so uncomfortable. The rudeness, lack of cleanliness and terrible job was overwhelming. When my manicurist realized I understood her and could even speak back, her tone changed. I decided to take my business elsewhere and even had them re-do my nails. I should have just walked out the minute I walked it. They should be ashamed of their behavior and state of the salon. read more

After 2-3 days of going to get them Done I have cuticles growing out of all of my nails from how poorly they were done. The dip is the thickest I've ever had. One small detail that I just could not let go- there was a technician doing someone's pedicure and all she was yelling about inside the salon was politics. I think people go to a nail salon to relax a bit, not have to hear technicians shouting across the room. This place wasn't worth it. Beach prices without the decorum and professionalism. Go elsewhere... even if it's just to get better nails, forget the noise and questionable hygienic practices. read more

I went to this salon with much hope for a good place to do nails in South Beach. I got dipping powder and three days after it was done for 65 dollars they are chipping and breaking. Don't waste your money. Nice people but poor performance. I thought when she did them they were very thin, but figured she was the professional. I should have said something but didn't. Upon walking inside I was treated by two wonderful ladies with the most kind smiles. I was seated within two minutes with a kind woman named Karen( apologies if misspelled ) who gave me the best nail service I have undoubtedly ever had. I've never had a nail tech who explained to me the process without me having to even ask. You could tell that she wasn't just looking for temporary clients. Love it!! The service at Anaïs Nails and Spa was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately the execution on my nails was less desirable. I usually get SNS on my nails and when I waked in the owner told me they didn't do SNS but dipping powder was the same. The nail tech also informed me that the dipping powder causes less lifting. Once my nails were finished I realized a major difference in dipping powder vs SNS. My nails were not as shiny and I could see areas where the powder was missed or over used. It was already 7:15pm so I just rolled with it and paid. Her I am two days later getting ready for a weekend to celebrate my sister and two of my nails started lifting and one has come completely off. I live in Atlanta so I can't return to have them done and instead I have to pay to have them done again. I would not recommend getting the dipping powder done here. read more

A little disappointed in this place. Had higher hopes since it's been recommended as a good nail spot. I got gel on my natural nails and it started separately from the bottom five days in. Cuticles were not done well either. Now it's been a week and gel chipped at the bottom and at the top of my nails, separating from the sides too. I work in the office, so no real reason for them to start chipping so quickly. Very sad. read more

The host that greeted us was friendly, but that's where it ends. The nail tech apologized to me for burning me with hot water. When she started on my left foot, she cut into my toe as she went straight across. What concerned me is that she did not remove them from sterilized packaging. She also used some type of scraping tool on my cuticles, but she broke the skin with it just below where she clipped my skin. The three days following this service I had puss oozing out of that toe. We paid for the top package which was supposed to have a massage with it, but I never received one. My tech completed everything in 35 minutes. My tech also ate bbq pork rinds while doing my feet. She dropped one on my foot and it landed on the towel next to my foot. She didn't eat it it, but I still found it gross that she was eating while working on my feet. I believe we received bad service because it was a Friday just before they closed. Most of the techs began drinking alcohol before we left. The host advised that this was a weekly ritual which marked the end of a hard week. I don't really care about the drinking, but when it affects the services I receive that I am paying for, but they aren't completed then Naturally I have a problem with it. As a side note, everything was closing in the area as we were leaving. It was due to religious activities. So, if your from out of town and want to grab food near here in the evening hours it's likely not going to happen. Due to the health concerns with the unsanitary clippers cutting into my skin, I have to rate them with the lowest possible. read more
