When I brought my vehicle in for service, the hood release handle was functioning properly. After the service was completed, I discovered that the interior hood release handle had been broken and no longer operates correctly. This damage was not present before my visit. Since then, I have contacted your location several times to discuss this issue, but I have not received a satisfactory resolution. I have also obtained an estimate from another repair facility, which informed me that there is a $199 diagnostic fee before any repairs can even begin. As the damage occurred while my vehicle was in your care, I do not believe I should be responsible for these costs. I respectfully request that Kwik Kar accept responsibility for the damage and arrange for the hood release handle to be repaired at no cost to me, or reimburse me for the full cost of the diagnosis and repair if I am required to have the work completed elsewhere. Please respond within seven (7) business days with your proposed resolution. If we are unable to resolve this matter, I will have no choice but to pursue other options, which may include filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Texas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division, and any other appropriate consumer protection agencies. I hadn't had any issues with the vehicles transmission since and the price was very fair. This week I had issues with power steering where it would work intermittently. I brought the vehicle in worried I might need to drop hundreds or more on a 13 year old car. The shop identified the issue as a loose connection on the battery terminal and tightened it down at no charge. For all I knew, they could have easily said it was something else and charged hundreds to fix or at the very least charged me for 1/2 an hour of labor, but they didn't.
