Daughter called during the week to make sure Open bowling was available on Sunday. "Sure just come on in." My daughter says, 'I'm gonna call again just to make sure, that guy didn't sound like he knew what he was talking about". Again, "sure just come in, we'll have open lanes; no reservations, leagues don't start until till four". Get there at 2pm. People from out of town. And all the lanes taken up by reserved birthday parties. No apologizes. Just kinda 'too bad, so sad'. So, off to Tinley bowl where we had an eventual good time.

This place was super fun! Arrived on a Saturday afternoon around 4pm-I did make sure to call ahead after reading the previous reviews to make sure lanes were open. Sure enough they were open-until about 5:30 or so. We purchased 3 shoe rentals and 2 games-the total charge was $33, which forced me to knock this down to a 4 star review. I believe the price is competitive for the area but it's too expensive if you ask me. The staff was quite friendly. The young bowler in our party ended up knocking one of the pins onto the lane, and someone rushed over right away to fix it for us. I needed to exchange shoes for a bigger size and that wasn't a problem either. Place was clean, and there were plenty of different sized balls to go around (hee hee). I'd definitely come here again, but I'll make sure to see if there are any price specials first.

Heads up, this is a small, old bowling alley with no modern updates. My husband and I came here for a date night. We originally bought two games with shoes. The first issue we had was adding a second player to the game. The man behind the shoe counter said it was a user issue that happens all the time but I know I made no mistake, it was actually on their end. Especially when I saw it happen to the person next to us too and they also made no mistake. Then we had another issue where we had to reset the pins. The next complaint is that the walking area just before the black line was very slippery which it shouldn't be. Made for a very cautious bowl as we did not want to hurt ourselves. Our biggest complaint is with the staff. We were having fun so we bought another game but it didn't start the game right after. My husband then went to the man behind the shoe counter and notified him of our issue. He accused us of not paying saying he'd let it slide. This bowling alleys staff tried to stiff us out of our money saying we didn't pay for it when we actually paid in cash. This put such a very bad taste in our mouth that we probably would consider another bowling alley. This incident is a huge red flag considering it's probably one of the smallest bowling alley's I've ever been to. If you're in this establishment, get receipts because their staff doesn't know how to do their job right. After reading other reviews of this place we realize this is a common complaint of rude staff. I'm surprised they are still in business to be honest.

I also love that they have an expansive bar that offers some great cocktails, and an outstanding Bloody Mary. It was a Saturday night around seven. They were sold out of the ribeye so my better half opted for the New York strip it was pretty good. It's a casual setting, you order your food at the register and they bring it out to you. They have a huge fireplace in the dining area so we sat next to the fireplace, relaxed and enjoyed the atmosphere. I've been here a time or two and my favorite on the menu is the rib eye and the pork chop. I ordered the pork chop it's huge, juicy and it has a great grilled char. It is just an outstanding piece of meat. I also love their fries and garlic toast. After dinner, I settled in and played a few slot machines. This is what I needed, good food and relaxation.

On both visits, I myself, chose to get the special which on Fathers Day was filet medallions and stuffed shrimp (excellent). This past weekend, I got the grilled medallions and lobster tail. Omg it was perfection! The atmosphere is great, the servers are polite and professional. My two complaints for this past visit would be that my martini really pretty much sucked.... super sweet, tasted like Kool-aid and no taste of booze and the red velvet cake that i ordered was, in my opionion, should have been thrown out. It actually tasted more like rasberry cake instead of red velvet but it was very stale. I took two bites and tossed the rest. However, I won't let that deter me from coming again. On both visits, the food was fantastic and we ordered a variety of apps and dinners and everything was terrific. We will definatly be coming again and will be spreading the word. Keep up the great work.

The service was extremely friendly and welcoming. Danae was our server again, just as she was on our previous visit, and she delivered the same excellent, attentive service. It's always a great sign when consistency carries over from one visit to the next. The Friday Fish Fry features four pieces of cod, each cut into roughly four-inch portions about the circumference of a quarter. This size allows the fish to cook evenly while maintaining its moisture and flaky texture. The cod is very lightly beer-battered, which we really appreciated--it enhances the flavor without overpowering the delicate taste of the fish. The standard accompaniments are cornbread and a lightly seasoned, fresh jicama slaw. One of the nice touches is the flexibility with sides--you're allowed to substitute fries and/or coleslaw for other options. I opted for a cup of the soup of the day, which was Cajun she-crab (excellent), along with onion straws. There are several other side choices available as well, some with a minimal upcharge. Our second experience was just as enjoyable as the first. We'll definitely be back--not only for the fish fry, but to explore more of the menu.
