Our dog Poppy is a rescue with an unknown background (as many rescues are). We love her like a…read morechild, and she is our whole world. We have always wanted/still want the longest happiest life for her. Unfortunately, Poppy was incredibly reactive. It was mostly to dogs, and sometimes to people, and she was on the verge of causing damage to someone. We worked tirelessly for two years with her. Twice a day walking/training, going to training classes, having private training, reading books/watching videos, just trying to help her have good experiences and associations, so that she could experience more of life and have more fun (safely). Despite a great food drive & being incredibly smart, Poppy's reactivity even seemed to get worse no matter how hard we worked with her or what we tried. After this worsening, we knew that something had to give or Poppy could end up hurting someone or having to be locked away/euthanized. Bailey/Ideal Canine was our choice & saving grace to help our pup. We were taken with their dedication to dogs that so many others have given up on. We found that many trainers will not take aggressive dogs, so what are owners supposed to do? Give up on them? That wasn't an option for the pup we love so dearly, so we decided that Bailey's 6-week program would be right for Poppy and after our first meeting and conversations, we were even more confident that our dog wasn't a lost cause and could still be loved and helped into living her best life! Bailey is incredibly dedicated to the welfare and safety of all the dogs she works with and Poppy not only LOVES her, but it is so evident that she also feels safe and cared for with Bailey. Bailey worked with our pup and us, setting all parties up for success and answering all questions we had (which was quite a few). Bailey was never stumped by our queries and her experience/knowledge shows in the happy dogs she has helped live their best lives. Bailey not only teaches you how to handle & train your dog, she explains how everything she does is based on how dogs act, respond, & understand the world around them. She explains dog behavior specific to your pup and lets you know what different dog body language means which is supremely helpful in knowing your dog's thresholds and moods. During the mid/later parts of the 6 week training, our dog was hanging out peacefully on outdoor dining patios, having off leash freedoms, & co-existing happily with many other dogs-all of which would have been unthinkable to us prior to her time with Bailey. We are still in the early stages of Poppy's transition back home, but I have never seen her so confident & happy. One of our big struggles used to be barking out the windows and now, that behavior is non-existent. Our pup can now pass other dogs just steps away without reacting at ALL and feel confident knowing that we have her back and she knows what to do. Bailey has set us all up for success and given our pup a longer happy life and we are supremely grateful. Additionally, we can't wait to take advantage of the great perks that all of Bailey's clients can get like in-home boarding, group walks/training sessions and private training when we feel like a refresher.

We feel much more confident taking our girl into situations that were previously uncomfortable. After board and train with Bailey, we feel like we have the knowledge and skills to deal with those situations without making mistakes that might make the things worse. We also feel like our girl feels more confident.

My girlfriend recommended them to me after relocating here and I haven't used another spot since! Overnight boarding is a little pricier than I'm used to, but they do provide a lot of added services. From 24 hour supervision, to structured play and report ours from your pups stay. The staff is also great!

We've been taking our dog here for a couple months (day camp, enrichment, training, and boarding),…read moreand she loves coming here. We checked out quite a few places and what set RWC apart is the emphasis on staff training and a carefully maintained staff-to-dog ratio. That means it does book up on busy weekdays and holidays, so reservations are required, which isn't as necessary at a lot of places. Our dog gets easily overwhelmed in new situations, and they've been brilliant at helping her cope and get enough downtime. We love that they have the treadmills, which helps our active dog calm down and focus. Their trainer Star introduced "wait" to her instead of "stay," and it's made a noticeable difference. We've had great chats (in person and by email) with Jodie, the RWC owner, and we love how committed she is to high standards and creating a healthy and safe environment for dogs. I'd say it's a bit pricier than some options, but RWC's commitment to fairly compensating and training their staff is a great thing to see in this industry and, of course, ultimately results in a better experience for the dogs as well.

I will preface this by saying I have not actually used this service. I met these people at a dog…read moreevent. I was very impressed with them. Seemed like they would take great care of my dogs. I called later about boarding. They really push for you to just fill out a form. They will not give any kind of estimate. I understand that circumstances will vary, but a price range would be good. I had a contractor at my home once looking out my window and commenting "all you rich people up here." He way overcharged me and we aren't all rich. Not saying she would do this, I just like to be quoted a price range. She seems to take care of her employees and has a decent business plan. Costs to meet with them, as it should. Where she lost me was asking how long the dogs could be left alone. Well, several hours I suppose. She kinda beat around the bush then told me that all of her Nannys have full time careers. If I am working outside of the house for a full work day, I take my dogs to day care. An 8-9 hour work day and commute, leaves my dogs alone for at least 9-10 hours. How does the Nanny have time to exercise them? She also said that a Nanny can only work for one week. So, if you are gone for more than one week, you would have 2 nannies. Not a huge deal, but two different people in my home is a question mark. She ended the conversation with "fill out the online form and we will see if we have any nannies available." Didn't sound like she even wanted the business and seemed like she didn't have many nannies. I have 2 easy, older dogs, but they need daily exercise. I don't need someone with my dogs 24/7, but I would not leave them more than 6 hours at a time, so just being fed and having someone overnight, is not what I am looking for. That being said, if this works for others, they may be a great service.
