    Mother and I are senior citizens. A week ago I contacted APEX Plumbing to fix a clogged bathroom…read moresink and toilet. I know we need cast iron pipe replacement. Had a different Plumbing company come out to give me quote and even did a complimentary camera job. I viewed it and realized we need a new cast iron pipe replacement. That company was quite high, though, in pricing for anything and so I naively believed BBB and Angie's list and went with APEX. Anyway, long story short, the plumber from APEX, misled us into believing the sink drain was cleared. He couldn't find anything wrong with the toilet, he said. He did more investigating around the premises. I kept asking how much this was going to cost and he replied, "Don't worry about it." (Have footage on live camera).Then, when he was done, he told us it would be $325.00. He produced a tablet, stating that is where I needed to sign giving APEX permission to take my credit card.He said we'd receive an e-receipt along with other quotes and he was headed to his truck and would send it while parked there. After not receiving anything, I called his office and had to wait the next day. To our astonishment, the plumber had written very inaccurate assessment of things and even stated I agreed to a camera to check the pipe out. I made it clear we didn't need that.It turns out that he made my signature appear as if I agreed with his false quote which I never saw until a day later. Yesterday, a plumber representing APEX PLUMBING, surprised us by showing up. I was at work and saw on my live camera the guy preparing to do some work.Unannounced and without permission. Mother tried to tell him NO but he seemed to ignore her until he heard my voice on the camera and made him LEAVE. I was unsuccessful in fully communicating with his general manager, Frank. Had a hard time getting a working email from his office...I hear crickets ..I sent them an ULTIMATUM. And we want our $325 back as the sink is still clogged as is the toilet. APEX PLUMBING are SCAM artists trying to take advantage of the elderly. Mother is very disabled and half blind.SHAME, SHAME, SHAME ON APEX PLUMBING!!!! THE STATE ATTORNEYS OFFICE WILL BE NOTIFIED!!!!

Bryce was our plumber, and he was quick, efficient, and did a fantastic job handling the repair, which included welding and replacing the valve.     I was actually referred to Garretts Plumbing by a couple people because of their expertise. Now…read morelet me tell you that people rarely take the time to leave reviews unless something goes wrong so take what the previous person said with a grain of salt. I read reviews constantly if I'm shopping for a product or using a service; in this day and age you pretty much have to. I've gone there three times for just a few cheap parts so take what I'm about to say for what it is, which is stellar customer service. I'm not a contractor so I'm not spending a lot of money, so their motivation to please is genuine. I was working on a leaky kitchen faucet a few blocks down from the store and it was just kickin my @##. I invested close to 6 hours trying to get that dang leak to stop. I'm a handyman so I'm pretty good at fixing things but with this, I met my match. The owner, Larry, was so willing to help me solve the problem while I was in the store. We tried replacing the cartridge ($20) and the seals (he gave me for free). Went back and went to work to no avail. If I coulda thrown the thing out the window I woulda. I called at about 4:50 to try to speak to Larry but he wasn't available so I asked the gentleman on the phone if he had any techs that might be able to help me troubleshoot the problem and he referred me to Terry, the service manager (Not a technician). I spoke to Terry and told him my dilemma and he asked me where the property was and I told him and he said he'll right there. This 60+ year old man hopped in his truck and buzzed down to help. He got there, worked on it for about 30 minutes and couldn't get the leak to stop so he went back to the store to grab another part. He came back and worked on it for another 10 minutes. No luck. He then called Larry (the owner) and explained the situation and Larry came by too and together, after about 30 more minutes of working on that #$%#%$, they got it fixed. Thinking surely I was gonna get raked for needing two people to fix it, I asked what the damage was and Larry said "Don't worry about it". Huhhhh. I didn't think I heard him correctly. They refused to take any money. Terry lives more than an hour away and Larry came by to help after business hours and didn't even charge me for nearly an hours worth of work. If you find any company that would do that, you better not lose their number. I will continue to use them and I will refer people to them because they went above and beyond when there was not motivation to. Amazingly friendly guys and very knowledgeable. A customer for life Please remember to post reviews about all companies you come in contact with but be weary about fake reviews as well. There are companies out there that other companies hire to leave fake reviews so if it sounds really generic, its probably fake. In this new era we're in, content and online reputation is everything so do your part to let people know.

    I hired On Tap Plumbing for what turned out to be two very minor repairs, and I feel other…read morecustomers should know how this company prices jobs. I was given a rough estimate of 600-1000 over the phone based on inspector photos and description of needed repairs which was assuming replacing the whole cast iron p-trap and replacing the shower diverter. When Marcus called me from the house with good news - not having to replace p-trap and diverter and only to replace fernco and adjust diverter I assumed the invoice would be at the low end of the phone estimate. When he said $917 or $1300 if he had to replace shower diverter. I was a bit shocked but in a tight spot to get this done and the house closed. I told them to go ahead and we could discuss as maybe I was not understanding. He then called back a little over an hour later and said the work was done. In my opinion, these charges were excessive and not reflective of the time, labor, or complexity involved. The work performed was: 1. Replacing a Fernco coupling under the house. There was already ample access in the crawlspace (around two feet or more), and this was a straightforward repair with no major excavation or difficult access required. 2. Adjusting a shower diverter/valve. The "repair" was essentially adding a small block of wood behind it to secure it in place. For these minor items, I was charged $917.27. The invoice included charges such as: Fernco replacement: $149.19 "Difficulty charge Level 1": $206.00 Drywall cutout for access: $212.08 Adjust shower valve: $350.00 I called to discuss this matter with Tim. He stood behind his invoice and reiterated they were not up-charging and they do not bill by the time but by the job. On Tap texted and emailed me after the job for an honest review, so I obliged. I trust this helps the public when choosing a plumbing company.

    I just want to say that Tap Plumbing exceeded my expectations, Marcus corrected another plumbers…read morework, he did it exactly in a timely manner and very professional. He was able to explain what was going on with my pipe work and how he planned to fix it . When speaking to his boss Tim, they were very knowledgeable and professional. I plan to refer this company and if in the future have any plumbing problems I know where to turn to. Keep up the excellent work!
