If your car has a problem, Kevin knows how to fix it. He is running the place with his family and they are all friendly. Unlike other mechanics, he will not overcharge you or talk you into any other services which you don't need. Once my roommate had a dead battery in the parking lot across from his shop. (of course you wouldn't know when it happens) They went over to see Kevin, and he came right over with his tools and repaired it on the spot. Kevin is a great guy!! read more

Although I don't even ask the price anymore on repairs that need to be done- I know it will be fair. For routine maintenance since I live near by I usually drive by in the afternoon to see how many cars are in the lot and pick a day to drop off when there are fewer cars- I drop off in PM walk home and by noon the next day my car ready. read more

I got to chatting with Kevin for a minute when I was picking up my car and he was so nice. I would definitely recommend this place to others. I went in to see Larkfield Auto to have my car smogged and an oil change. Overall, it was fine and they got the job done but when I opened my hood the next day, it was a mess. I was missing a couple of bolts, caps weren't screwed back on all the way and the molding around the edge was half off in places. This sloppy work concerns me about what kind of job they perform. I won't go back because of this-there are too many other businesses that will do the same job and put my car back together the way I brought it to them. read more

My wife got into a car accident recently, and she took her car to Larkfield Auto Center. The repair was done right, but even more impressive than that was the service by this auto center. There was a mix-up in our insurance coverage and after telling us our rental car was covered by our insurance, it turned out it wasn't, and that we would be on the hook for the $30 per day rental. In making things right, the Larkfield Auto Center owner generously decided to foot the bill for our rental car, even though it wasn't his mistake about whether the rental car was covered or not. Pretty darn impressive. Hopefully we won't have to use an auto repair place again, but if we do, we'll be coming here. read more

Had the good fortune to have a starter motor go out whilst parked in the shopping center opposite Kevin's. Was advised by State Farm (who had an office there) to get it towed to Kevin's. Whilst waiting for the tow truck I went over and spoke to Kevin who was charming and helpful and was pretty sure he could fix it. Towing Co couldn't start the car so got it towed to Kevin's - it was about five PM. He had to order the motor and we collected the car the next afternoon. So very impressed. AND an incredibly reasonable $412 repair incl starter and labor. I have been ripped off by many a mechanic but not with Kevin. Take you car to him with confidence. read more

Kevin is the best. I have been taking my vehicles here since 2002. In that time they have serviced 5 different vehicles that my family has owned, and they have all been well maintained. Kevin always has time for me, and usually turns things around the same day. I don't know how he does this since his lot is always packed full of cars. On the more expensive repairs Kevin always offers suggestions, even ones that would not make him money. He tries to check if things should be under warranty, and never tries to pressure you into repairs. He simply lets you know what is needed and gives you options / alternatives. read more
