NEVER come here; owner physically struck and threatened my 80+ year old, 5'1'' mother!!! She was picking up jewelry and he lost his temper suddenly during a conversation about the work he had done; she wasn't even complaining, just trying to understand, but he erupted in screams, yanked her keys and wallet from her hands and hurled them to the floor behind the counter so she couldn't get to them. She tried to flee the store at that point, leaving her keys/wallet behind, saying "I just want to leave," but he then SHOVED her so he could get around her and then physically blocked her from leaving while continuing to scream so loudly the shop owners next door heard through the solid wall and called security and 911. He only let her out when she called 911 herself; the wonderful store owners next door ushered her into their place for safety and told her that police were already on the way. She was so traumatized that she told the responding police officer that she just wanted to leave, so no charges were filed. But shopping center security said there have been multiple similar calls because of his behavior. Stay away!! read more

They stole the diamond from my engagement ring , that had also belonged to my Mother, twenty five years ago and replaced it with another cheaper diamond. Then, I lost that diamond at a place in Atlanta because they had put the (new) one in crooked!!!! read more

My visit to LaRo Jewelers was nothing short of a nightmare due to blatant racism and discrimination. Upon entering the store, I was immediately met with suspicious glances from the staff. It was clear they were judging me based on my appearance. Despite my interest in purchasing a high-value item, I was ignored for a significant amount of time while other customers, who arrived after me, received prompt and courteous service. When I finally approached a salesperson for assistance, I was met with a condescending attitude and dismissive remarks. The atmosphere was hostile, and the staff's behavior was openly discriminatory. It was evident that my race was the reason for this appalling treatment. This experience left me feeling deeply disrespected and unwelcome. I strongly advise against visiting LaRo Jewelers if you value equality and fair treatment. Their racist and discriminatory practices are unacceptable, and no one should have to endure such degrading behavior. They should be shut down. I have never given a yelp review before. I have also never looked up other reviews on yelp faster than I did today. Ouch! I'm not alone- Laro treats all of their customers like crap apparently! I'm making it my mission to tell anyone and everyone who even thinks about shopping here or using their repair service to walk the other way. Not only is the owner full of negative energy, he is just plain rude. He tries to gaslight his customers when the work he performs is not up to par. He raised his voice in anger when I asked him for help trying to figure out how to close the clasp on a necklace he repaired for me. He told me he was not here to be my YouTube tutorial! I picked up my jewelry and told him I would find a jeweler who doesn't yell at his customers. He shooed his lovely female employee away in a dismissive manner. It is most likely his wife and I feel sorry for her. He is a dirtbag and his store is so brightly lit with tacky cool toned LED lights that you feel like he might perform surgery in his spare time. I hope he goes out of business and if this sways anyone to steer clear of Laro Jewlers , I have done my job. read more

I hate to write a bad review about them. I have purchased most of the jewelry for my wife and daughters there for at least 10 years from them. Douglas, the previous owner was like family and, initially, so were the new owners. I just purchased earings for my wife for Christmas. As I have learned over the last 38 years, I discussed exchange with David. who reneged on his promises and told my wife to leave store as he would not exchange for a necklace of same value. I am not the type to make a review unless i feel that I've been utterly disrespected. The owner of who ever was in the front was totally disrespectful as I walked in. I totally understand that some places are appointment only but I believe if that's the case with your establishment, there should be a sign. I walked in and the man asked "can I help you? " I came in looking to purchase my mother a necklace for her birthday so I responded that I was just here to look around. He responded that it's appointment only so and I should leave with an attitude. I kindly exited but I have purchased jewelry from many different jewelry stores and none have ever in my life done this. Again I do understand that places are appointments only but an establishment like yours should have either a sign or something on your website stating such. read more

I had a few pieces of jewelry which needed repair. LaRo did an excellent job! One was a herringbone necklace which was broken. LaRo repaired it, educated me on its care and fragility, and shined it beautifully. It looks like new! They also went above and beyond by replacing a too small clasp which I had just mentioned in passing. Everyone is very polite, friendly, and knowledgeable, and make you feel like a special customer. They will be my "go to" for all future repairs. I highly recommend them! read more

Unfortunately, I have to leave a horrible review of this store. I only leave bad reviews when necessary to make others aware. Please keep in mind that telling a full story takes energy and time so I don't do this just to be mean. I had 6 charms placed on a bracelet late last year. I remembered looking at the bracelet after I got home and noticed that all the charms had not been sautered on. I just figured that's how the owner placed charms and didn't call him back. That was my mistake and I take ownership of that. I had two more charms placed last week and noticed they had been sautered on when I picked it up. I immediately mentioned that I noticed this and pointed out to the sales associate (not the owner) that there were charms from the last visit that had not been sautered. I left the bracelet again for the prior charms to be "fixed" and sautered. I received a call from the owner today questioning my request. He flat out called me a liar and stated the prior charms were not his work. I was taken aback that someone was calling me a liar......not a good business practice. He continued to say I was a liar after I pushed back and stated he was being unscrupulous after he suggested I could pay half price for having the charms sautered. I had originally paid full price for the original 6 charms and refused to pay for additional work that should have been done in the first place. The problem is that you are never given any written work order or receipt nor do they keep records of their work (at least not any of the work they did for me). I can pull my credit card statement only showing the charge from the store. I knew which charms I had him place because they are all travel charms I bought during trips. I even offered to show airline receipts for the countries I visited to show with charm corresponded with each trip. He said he didn't need to see the receipts because it was not his work. Considering the 8 total attachment rings used by him were the all the same and much different from the other rings on the bracelet, I couldn't believe he wasn't owning up to his outright oversight! Personally, I don't recommend this place because of the poor business attitude!! If you do use this store, have the owner/associate write out a full receipt of all work with a full description of everything you are leaving behind. Have them sign and date it. When you pick up your order, please look over everything carefully with them and then have them sign and date it again....otherwise you will be called a liar. I had used a prior locally owned jeweler for 13 years but they sadly went out of business last year. They would write out a full descriptive receipt and then would take the time to go through the jewelry and discuss their work with you upon pick up. That's what is considered good customer service!! Again, I take responsibility for not speaking up the first time. Lesson learned. I just want you to protect yourself against those who don't put the customer first and don't take ownership of their mistakes. read more
