Melissa asked lots of questions and really really built rapport. Based on the questions she asked she suggested some other chains. It's like she was in my head cause she picked out a perfect 7 pointer diamond chain that i just fell in love with as soon as i saw it. Overall i will give icebox 5 stars because they not only give you an amazing experience by offering water, soda, Capri Suns. But they assign everyone with a jeweler and that really helps personalize your experience. I have very busy days, and i can just text Melissa, and ask for anything I'm looking for and she makes it happen! I stop by pick up what i need and get back to my busy day. She's helped me with gifts for my sister and boyfriend. I'm giving ice box 5 stars but I'm really giving Melissa 5 stars. Everytime i shop with icebox she continues to wow me. Providing excellent customer service , patient, and very knowledgeable about jewelry. There's nothing i asked her for that she couldn't make happen. 10 stars !! I think it's super cool that they clean all jewelry purchased from them for free. They also have fixed my clasp on my chain because i didn't know i was taking it off wrong. I was also told that if i trade in my chain to purchase a new piece or upgrade the amount i paid go towards my next purchase. Super cool! Because I've been thinking of upgrading. I made a $2500 purchase. But that was clearly insignificant to a potentially returning customer. Shouldn't you treat each guest the same? A large group of unidentified "artists" walked into the store. The woman working there started to vocalize, "Cleanings are free! Do any of you need any pieces cleaned?" Do you think I was offered that service for my wedding ring or jewelry even though I came in, chatted and made a purchase? NOPE!! I even started to play with my ring, asked about cleaning services for my purchase to give them the opportunity to redeem themselves... so disappointing. The discrepancies are nearly laughable. On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, my disabled mother and I traveled 155 miles to visit The Icebox in Atlanta, Georgia. I waited until now to write this review, ensuring I was not writing under duress and allowing myself time to process my deep disappointment and "deescalate my broken heart." Due to my own significant, permanent disabilities and upcoming spinal surgeries, this trip represented a rigorous physical exertion that required three weeks of logistical coordination with Jenee at the Icebox. I made my physical limitations clear, and Jenee (the sole positive aspect of the visit; she was sweet and empathetic) reassured me they would be fair. My decision to visit was based entirely on their YouTube videos, where the owner appears transparent and suggests they offer 70% to 80% of an item's market value. This portrayal did not reflect our in-store experience. The gentleman who initially assisted us before Jenee was available was visibly reluctant and made an insensitive comment suggesting I was "unprepared," despite my four days of preparation and research into current gold and silver market values. The final offer presented to me for my grandmother's cherished jewelry was approximately 35% of the actual value--far below the 70-80% advertised on YouTube. I felt the online content must be staged or disingenuous. I declined the offer, refusing to "give away" items of such personal significance. I left feeling that the Icebox might employ a strategy of exhaustion--hoping that bringing vulnerable people in from great distances would compel them to accept a lowball offer. The staff seemed entirely indifferent to my pain and the significant hurdles I overcame just to get there. The physical toll was immense. Both my mom and I were in such pain and so exhausted that we spent Thanksgiving Day in bed until 2 PM, eating cold cut sandwiches instead of the planned turkey meal. The entire experience was crushing and left a very bad taste in my mouth. I cannot recommend The Icebox to anyone. read more

I often hear people say how Atlanta is a small city and that you run into people you know all over town or that everyone eats/shops at the same spots. I walked into this store about two weeks ago on my own without ever mentioning the name of the place to my husband. All he knew was that I saw some earrings and a Rolex that I liked. I saw the TV commercial for Icebox for a few years and never had to come in until I inherited a badly damaged Rolex watch. A pawn shop in town told me it was beyond repair and could not be fixed, they offered me 100 "for parts" After visiting I learned at Icebox they have a full repair facility and over 30 employees. They were able to offer me 1600 and explained the watch needed 1200 in repairs. They gave me the option to repair it but I just took the cash instead because the offer was much higher than I expected. I also ended up going back to get a pair of 1.00ctw diamond studs for my mom's 57th birthday and got an amazing deal. I am a very savvy shopper and looked online and three name brand stores in town (Shane, Jared, Kay) and saved at least 20% maybe even 25%. Unlike most jewelry stores, at no point did I feel the staff was trying to force me into buying something that I did not want or that I could not afford. Moreover, the store decor was beautiful and elegant. Jewelry is something that you don't buy often but when you do, you want to know that you are being treated fairly. After three visits my watch watch still isn't working properly. This shouldn't have been the case! I brought in an Omega that needed to have a new crown put in. I also brought in a Tag Heuer in as the second hand was making 5 second jumps, but still telling impeccable time. I was told by the Michael with Icebox this was the watch's way of telling me it needed a new battery. We agreed to put in a new battery and I asked that the posts holding the bracelet be checked as they are prone to bending. I was told that the repairman would look at the posts as a matter of course. A couple of days after getting both watches back, I noticed that the bracelet was put on the Tag watch backwards. I brought it back and this was remedied. Then I noticed that the date wasn't lining up with the watch face, which wasn't lining up with the bezel, which wasn't lining up with the body of the watch. When I went to pull out the crown to line up the date, it came out of the watch. I took the watch back at Icebox to have these issues taken care of. When I went back to collect the watch, I was told that it had been easier to replace the movement on the Tag to fix several of the issues. I looked over the watch closer this time than I had before and nothing was glaring wrong with the watch. I picked up the watch and wore it out of the store. I've now had the watch for a week and there is actually something glaring wrong, it runs ~60 secs slow a day. I thought I may be wrong, but I've reset the watch twice and come to the same conclusion each time. I'm beside myself. How could this really be a thing and how could a watch repair person let a watch out of their care with these sort of issues, repeatedly? My understanding is that Swiss time pieces are precision instruments; shouldn't the people working on them strive for a similar precision? I can understand how a minor issue may slip through the cracks, but now we are looking at 1.) the bracelet, 2.) the crown, 3.) the movement/calendar 4.) the face of the watch being off(and still a 1/2-1 mm off by the way), 5.)timing issue of ~60 secs over a 24 hour period(this is a big discrepancy). If it was me I'd have made sure the watch was in absolute proper working working order the first time, much less the third time. I appreciate that Icebox tried to make it right and that and their customer service was solid. They need a new watch repairman though... I'm going to send this watch to Tag now. Update: I sent the watch back to Tag because the hands fell off when they opened the watch they told me that the face face was glued to the movement. Do not subject your timepiece to this, please learn from my mistake. read more

Great service. Found this establishment on Yelp and based on the reviews I decided to take my watch in for possible repair, watch runs slow. They tested the watch battery. Was told there was a full charge. Was given back my watch and they asked that I keep an eye on the time, so how soon it starts to slow. Asked how I would go about getting a quote in the future and they told me my Gucci watch may only be serviced by a Gucci or an authorized dealer/repair shop. I did not pay for the testing of the battery which is great. I would have paid any cost. Unfortunately there are a few establishments that would have still recommended battery replacement to, at the very least, get a penny out of the establishment customers. Icebox did not. Rosalinda was great and very personable. Also, they had clientele purchasing jewelry and based on the conversation one would make the presumption they are repeat customers.
