Larry & Kristi's Bakery absolutely lived up to the hype. After seeing all the glowing Yelp reviews, we had high expectations, and somehow they still exceeded them. Everything we tried was fresh, delicious, and clearly made with care. The donuts were soft, flavorful, and some of the best we've had on this trip. The staff was just as wonderful--friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help. If you're anywhere near Bremerton, this place is absolutely worth the stop. This bakery in Bremerton has t one of the fluffiest donuts and pastries I ever had. The commute to town is only 15 minutes over a bridge. There is plenty of parking outside so there is no need to park on the curb. When an establishment like this has a chalk board menu, you know the owners take pride in their food. Let's not forget the natural lighting that comes through the windows. There were two people behind the counter and they were very kind and patient when I asked the types of donuts they have assorted. Here's what I tried: -Blueberry fritters: super light and lightly glazed. Inside is a swirl of blueberry, which surprisingly, wasn't as overwhelming as I thought it would be. -Maple bar: this was my first time trying a maple flavored doughnut and it did not disappoint. At first bite, it was obvious they made the spread from scratch. -Cinnamon rolls: This is not your typical overtly sweet cinnamon roll. This is well-balanced, topped with homemade icing. -Chocolate: This your classic doughnut just slightly smaller in size. -Apple fritter: I liked that there were pieces of roasted almonds stuck only on top of the glaze which gave a savory elements that balances out the extract. -Lemon Jelly Doughnut: The jelly was filled all the way in the doughnut. Despite the doughnut being nice and fluffy, the jelly was little sweet for my taste. I guess since it was my first time trying one, I'll let it slide. This long time bakery in Bremerton's Manette neighborhood shares a parking lot with several adjacent businesses. The bakery fragrance hits you upon entering, and no surprise, there's a line. But usually there's pleasant two staff members at the display case, but just one register to ring up transactions. There is quite the selection featured, nicely arranged, and baked fresh on the premises. The Homie ended up buying two chocolate - maple glazed longjohns. Nice bouncy dough and the glaze itself was flavorful. A plus since it was not cloying or had any artificial aftertaste. Great place to get fresh doughnuts! read more

Lots of donuts to choose from which I appreciate the good variety. The showcase was bright and clear and full of goodie donuts. The staff was very friendly, and I noticed that they had a Bigfoot doughnut which was a doughnut in the shape of a Bigfoot, which was a great novelty thing to add to a bakery, love it. They make sure to stock up on the donuts no one apparently wants (2 cases of CAKE donuts) while I stood there for 5 minutes while they took every single possible doughnut I might want and shove it into a random variety dozen for someone who wasn't even present. We are new to the area and are definitely amateur "connoisseurs" of all things "donut"-related... in particular, local bakeries and shops (as opposed to places like DD & KK). Larry & Kristi's has the hustle and bustle of a well oiled machine on an early Saturday morning. The place was quite packed when I arrived with a small line already forming in the middle of the shop but everything moved quickly and efficiently allowing for a revolving door of happy patrons off to enjoy their donuts and coffee. It was my first time in so of course I had to get one of just about EVERYTHING, the sweet girl at the counter was so patient with me! Glaze, sugar, maple bar, blueberry fritter, apple and blueberry fruit filled and various bear claws. I was here strictly for donuts but am glad to know they offer vegan options in addition to tea, coffee, espresso and a handful of other baked goods. Typically I'm a classic no frills glaze girl (sorry extra sprinkles and maple bacon fans) but there were so many choices to try I only ended up with a single glaze in my assortment - and for me that's saying something. In fact after nibbling at everything, including the raved blueberry fritter, I now know to pass on everything else and fill the box with fritters cuz holy heck they are bomb!! MMMM! The cinnabon with raisins was good. I prefer my cinnabon more fluffy and this one is pretty thick, which was OK. The lemon glazed poppy seed donut was pretty good. My fave for the day was the blueberry bear claw. Becka, who served us, was friendly. It was a nice warm morning so we went for a walk on the Mannette Bridge and it was a beautiful day. read more

I wish I had first of all not made a purchase and second told the despicable clerk where she could shove her baked goods. Rude horrible low life. I did not even have 2 feet in the store when she started barking at me what did I want. I wasn't even near the display case. In 5 seconds she was complaining I had not made a purchase. She was complaining I didn't know if I would need a box or a bag. She never stopped tormenting me. She did not treat anyone else like this. She allowed customers to look at the case and make a decision. If the owners cannot figure out which person it was, it was a clerk who looks like she should stop sampling the wares. I had been there the day before and was not mistreated. This "B" needs to be fired. I will never set foot in your excuse of a business again. read more

Do they only make donuts once a day or what? How can they always be out of most things? They never have much variety for some odd reason, and they keep unpredictable hours. It fell off my map of places to stop into because there was too often only left-over donuts or they closed shop an hour early. And really they're not THAT special so not worth the "heads you get donuts, tails you don't" aspect of trying to support an independent shop. Decent. I would say best in the area. I don't recommend the coffee as they don't even make iced lattes- bummer! But they are kind and full of recommendations and information. Love that most of their varieties are vegan and genuinely good. We tried them maybe 4 times now before writing a review and they are pretty solid. We get the occasional undercooked donut- usually the filled ones have raw dough around the filling and the fritters have been under but we microwaved them and it seemed to mitigate issues -next day -anyways. I hope they have some different fruit varieties throughout the seasons- maybe we were spoiled in san diego- but if not we would still come and recommend.
