I've enjoyed Larry's for many years. The char-broiled burgers are perfect. Crisp lettuce, generous slice of tomato, fresh bun, and Larry's special sauce. I order a double hamburger: always perfect. (I'm aware I said "perfect" twice, this makes it three times.) Bacon and avocado are additions my friends tell me are great. Generous servings of French fries and onion rings. The breakfast burrito is huge and delicious. Scrambled eggs, homemade hash browns, bacon, sausage and cheese all enclosed in a flour tortilla: wonderful. I ask for the salsa on the side; the burrito travels better that way. Service is prompt and friendly. The drive through window is popular. The tables are clean, the seating comfortable; I eat inside (air conditioning). Located near the end of the 110, at the SE intersection of Gaffey and Channel. Before going on a cruise we stopped by for a quick bite. Looks sketchy inside. The bathroom was not the cleanest. I was looking for their grade but it was not posted anywhere which was interesting. I ordered chili cheese fries and they were pretty good. Average price around $7. One size. Customer service was okay. The ladies working the cashier finished their conversation before greeting us. So we've order burgers and fries from here a few times and it was really good, we thought maybe this might be our new spot. We decided to try the breakfast thinking it would be just as good, but NO absolutely not. We ordered a few items with eggs and there was so much egg shell in the eggs it was absolutely disgusting!! I had a long day of work and I really wanted fries, what a shock. I shouldn't have but I did anyways. I'm actually glad I did because I no longer wonder if the fries are good or not. There was only one person ahead of me in the drive thru. I'm not sure what the person ordered but it took quite some time. There were only two workers. Perhaps that was the reason. We were in a hurry so we had to eat in the car today. My husband ordered a carne asada burrito and I ordered a cheeseburger with fries. We have eaten here before but we were hugely disappointed today. The meat in the carne asada was chewy and it wasn't carne asada at all. It was probably a cheap cut of chuck steak and it was full of gristle. It did not have any flavor whatsoever. My husband couldn't even eat it. We had left the area, were in a hurry and we couldn't go back. My cheeseburger was full of iceberg lettuce and unsatisfying. The meat was super thin and it didn't have much flavor to it. This used to be my favorite place to eat a classic cheeseburger. They used to be delicious with a flavor unlike any other. It's sad to know that it has changed . Came through the drive thru for breakfast. We tried the bacon and eggs combos. One with pancakes, the other with hashbrowns and toast. I was told you can also get French toast as an option. Great little greesy spoon place. From the drive thru window you can watch the cook prepare everything. Because we had a couple minutes, the lady at the window explained that they have the best burgers and fries and said I needed to come back to try. I love Larry's! I randomly decided to give this place a try over Fantastic Cafe and I'm so glad I did! In a nutshell, their chili cheese fries are THE best I've had in Pedro. Secondly, their cheeseburgers are delicious too! Perfectly charbroiled and they add thousand island dressing. Not to mention, they have the "good ice" .... the small roundish balls of ice! I usually always come here it's my go to but lately it hasn't been great. First I come excited to eat my dinner with my Family to find out they forgot to put my food in the order. Why is it every time I hit Larry's up, I forget to check in? Must be the food... LOL Seriously tho... Typical "Tommy's" type burger joint. Great tasting food, (love the breakfasts), fantastic service, (always with a smile), and fast. Zucchini rocks and so do the onion rings. Burgers and sandwiches are flat out deliscioso!!! Breakfast specials are abundant, portions are generous and prices are comparable to the Tommy's, Astro's and Spiro's of the world. My biggest bitch here is getting out of the drive thru. I remember eating at Larry's as a youngster with my dad and thought I would revisit tonight. And it turns out to give Larry's their first yelp review. First, I get a kick out of the random menu prices. 2.60 3.39 4.59 5.70 I don't know why but it makes me chuckle. The drive thru is one of those drive thrus when if their are people in front of you you are sure to wait a bit until you get to the window. Went for what I remember which was their Fried Chicken Breast Sandwich. I have had their burgers before also and from what I remember, they were good as well. I also splurged and ordered French Fries and Onion Rings! Ohhh yyeeeaaahhh! I was waiting in the drive thru for quite a length of time. But the first thing the gal that was working said to me when I pulled up to the window was "I am so sorry you had to wait so long". She handed me my food with a smile, I paid and I was off! All I could think about while driving home was my fried chicken sammy. So I get home, tear open the bag, snap my pics of fries and rings and then it happened....I reached in the bag to pull out my sammy and I knew it was not the Sammy I remembered as kid. ): When I unwrapped the sammy I saw a grilled chicken breast on a grilled French roll. The sandwich was good but it wasn't what I went for. I wanted the FRIED!!!! Fries were fries but their onion rings were thin crispy perfectness.
