The moment I pulled into the driveway I can smell the good stuff being made. I decided to order the bacon avocado burger with some chili cheese fries. OMG!!!! My burger was absolutely delicious. My cheese fries were also soo freaking bomb!!!!! This may be my favorite burger spot now in Torrance. They have a big menu as well. Breakfast-Lunch & dinner. Extremely disappointed when trying to place an order, she couldn't hear me and I couldn't hear her. But hey things happen right! I ordered the California chicken sandwich along with fries with no salt in a separate bag and every time I said fries in a separate bag, she said no the chicken is already marinated and I said no I would like my fries in a separate bag as I'm driving back now just trying to get a little taste from running errands all day. The fries are extremely soggy full of grease. No crisp to them whatsoever very disappointed once again this place comes highly recommended. Sorry have to change my review. I won't be coming back. i purchase a very basic chorizo & egg only burrito that was nothing great compared to making it at home. also, it definitely wasn't worth $12 with change. i cut it open myself to show the contents which looks good, but the flavor is very lacking.. they could also do better on their pricing flavor. my honest review would be the following. this particular burrito was just okay. i can't speak for any other food that may be good. i may return to try something different next time, who knows. read more

Don't eat here, they have a cook who obviously doesn't understand what cross contamination is, just look at these texts from my husband, he was there and witnessed this ... Never eat at Lomitas Best unless you want food poisoning, I just watched the grill cook person get raw chicken, a tortilla, cheese, and steak with his fingers, threw them on the grill, then wiped his hands on his pants, then he continued with raw hamburger meat, then buns, yuck! This is every kitchen violation in one, it's absolutely disgusting, I work in the industry and I do cook, wash your hands between every protein and if you wear gloves change them before touching any other protein.. people will get really sick, I am call the health department, shut them down or train them because they are not following health protocol, I'm posting this for those of you who are unaware..btw..I called and spoke with the owner, he was nice enough to hang up on me...not surprised since he obviously doesn't care about the health of his customers read more

I had a craving for blueberry pancakes and saw this place because all the other places were closed. I have to say I'm not impressed by much but Lomita's Best suprised me a bit. Ordered the ribeye steak and eggs with a side of blueberry pancakes. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and the eggs were also cooked perfectly over medium which most places usually mess up. And the pancakes were loaded with actual blueberries. Everything was great! The only thing is that the condiments on the table were sticky and had to be wiped down, other than that simple and great. Our new go-to restaurant around our neighborhood! They have everything, the food is very reasonably priced, generous portions, and very good! The service is excellent as you are served after you order from the front register. The menu can be dizzying but complete with pix & descriptions. I've had their breakfast burrito, gyro, fries, and tacos... all very good! We've taken a few family members here and they were all surprised how good this place is. One order was a grilled cheese sandwich with zucchini french fries. The other a egg breakfast burrito. I believe it had cheese and hash browns mixed in to it. And some spicy salsa. Delicious. So large I only ate half and took the rest home in a container. The ambiance was good too. I would say a Mexican style. A nice large outdoor patio was provided. Seating inside was adequate. There is some debate amongst the community on whether their ranch is good or not & as a ranch lover I have to respect the unique nature of the Lomitas Best ranch . Parts of mine felt a little cold, which I initially thought might have been from the salsa, but later noticed some of the cheese seemed undercooked. My girlfriend had a similar experience with hers. The batter was great, the mushroom was great, but for the love of food, Lomita's Best! Please heed your customers' suggestions and season it! A little salt and pepper will do this side so much better! The side of ranch helped, but if they just add some taste to the batter, the ranch may not even be necessary. CHILI CHEESE FRIES: Like the mushroom, they were generous with this as well. The flavor is on point. They were also generous with the amount of chili and cheese. PASTRAMI BURGER: The buns were soft and fluffy. The burger was cooked well. Veggies were fresh. The pastrami, however, I felt needed a little more time on the grill. After having the starters, I was only able to consume half. Saved the other half for a 2nd meal to go with the leftover 'shrooms. FOOD: 5. SERVICE: 3. Only snag is that when I was putting in my sammich order, the server said, "Pastrami cheeseburger." I had to correct her to make sure I didn't get a cheeseburger, "No, pastrami burger, no cheese please." I thought it odd when she came back with, "Pastrami burger, same thing." Uhm... no. It's not. And for someone who doesn't like cheese on their burgers, that makes a whole world of difference. I'm glad I made that clear. VALUE: 4. It's a bargain. PARKING: They have a private lot. Most spots were occupied during our stop. They do have a following! OVERALL: 4. They are popular. There were a couple of cars ahead of us and a line formed behind us in the duration we were there. Fast food grill place with breakfasts and lunch type fare. They have wraps, salads, and Mexican food too. The people who work here seem friendly and nice. They're busy, but they're not stressed out or rude. The place is clean inside and there are a lot of people here at lunch. For my first time i'm getting a blt w/avocado. The sandwich is good. They use a kind of thousand island spread instead of mayo, which was unexpected, but not bad. The onion rings are fine. They're definitely frozen. But they're cooked well. It's a stretch but I would say this is Lomita's pretty good. This place which looks like a former Taco Bell is popular, very clean, good service and serves a solid burger. I ordered the Garden Burger which I was pleased with along with onion rings. The rings were not greasy at all but unique, slightly sweet and more of a cornmeal batter rather than flour. Variety wise they also had a pretty good variety with choices being bacon, sausage, chorizo, polish sausage, chile verde, egg, steak, ortega chili, chicken, ham or Lomita's Best. I chose to get the Chorizo breakfast burrito. They do pack their burrito with a lot of ingredients and it was definitely good for sharing. Tastewise however i thought it was just ok. I was in the area today so I stopped by for the first time ever. My order was simple. A bacon breakfast burrito and a coffee. So I pull up to the window and I was charged immediately but I was just left sitting there for like 30 minutes!!!!! Until the girl comes back and stares at me then says "they haven't given you the burrito?" And I said "no. The coffee either" then she walked away and I had to wait like another 10 minutes. So I told the other girl that brought me the food that I had been waiting a very long time and she said "well they're busy". In my opinion, if it's so busy that you can't handle the drive thru then close it temporarily. My burrito was cold so it wasn't that they were busy. It had to be sitting on the counter or something for a while. It also wasn't all that so I definitely won't be coming back. Me and my mom stop at new places all over Torrance and I have to say this is the best place we have been to. This is top tier breakfast burrito. Pancakes. - Pancakes hit the spot. Fluffy, lite and delish. Teriyaki bowl with chicken. - My mom got a small bowl, and to our surprise this thing was gigantic. We had to look at the receipt to make sure. It is a huge portion. Really delicious chicken on perfectly cooked rice. The chicken had a nice char to it and the teriyaki sauce was really good. They even added sesame seeds and green onion which is a huge plus. Pastrami Burger with cheese - OK this has to be the best thing on their menu. The pastrami alone is the best pastrami I have ever had. This is not like Togos or other sandwich shops where it's microwave pastrami. No this is tender thick slices of pastrami, real pastrami. It was the most delicious burger I have ever had. The pastrami is the way to go. Onion rings / Zucchini. - The batter is amazing. Addictive onion rings. The fried zucchini was crazy good. You know some places where they cut big spears of zucchini and then the batter is falling off the zucchini as you dip it in ranch. Not this. They cut the zucchini into french fry cuts. This is way better because the batter stays on and they dip better in the ranch. Again just like the onion rings, these zucchini sticks were ADDICTING! They also have their own home made salsa, red and green. Really good. The green is fantastic on the breakfast burrito and quesadilla. What is amazing is that all of their signature burgers are only 9.99$ I think 10.99$ as a combo. But that includes all these sandwiches.
