We came during lunch time. There was plenty of street parking. We shared a sandwich (Saloon Deluxe) and it was so delicious! Everything was so fresh. I can't wait to try more of their sandwiches.

Stopped in Sandwich Saloon today to pick up some sandwiches for lunch. I opted for the beef dip sandwich and boy that was an excellent choice. It was delicious. The bread was soft, the sliced beef tasty and the au jus very flavorful. The gal behind the counter greeted us with a nice smile and was very pleasant.

I've patronized this local business for many years- granted no business is perfect- maybe they forget syrup/butter/desserts- but I know this establishment- if they missed something- they'll make it right. But there was nothing to that effect here and in many previous orders of mine. I ordered my usual items on 01/03/26- Sandwich Saloon Omelet, small turkey sandwich and a decaf coffee. I always make comments on my order- like sour cream for my omelet, well done breakfast potatoes, bagel with cream cheese and for my sandwich- extra pepperoncinis and extra extra mayonnaise. And you know a business is run right when I receive my delivery via Grubhub- Everything is done- they read all my comments. Granted I ordered delivery today but I've experienced the ambiance of eating at the restaurant on any occasions and impressed by their cleanliness and overall customer service provided by John P and his staff. *I even had a surprise in my bag- a oatmeal chocolate chip walnut cookie for my birthday- yummy* I look forward to my next order- support your local businesses and Happy New Year of 2026 to all!

If you're ever in San Pedro, you have to stop by Sandwich Saloon! I got the Submarine sandwich with ham, salami, and cheese -- and it was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh: soft bread, perfect layers of meat, and just the right amount of flavor in every bite. You can really taste the quality and care they put into their sandwiches. The staff was super friendly, the place has that classic local charm, and the portions are generous. Definitely one of the best sandwich spots in town. I'll be coming back for sure!

Beware when ordering through doordash, they will rip you off. This was supposed to be a turkey sandwich but really just a veggie sandwich with the ghost of two skinny turkey slices. Glad you guys got one sandwich off me? Ive eaten here before and the sandwiches were much better than this. They wouldn't do this to you in-person because of course you'd complain. Thanks for taking advantage of the fact I wasn't feeling well and couldn't drive over to eat there. South shores meat shop has better sandwiches and less expensive too.

Went on a quick hike with my brother nearby and wanted some grub before watching some soccer and stopped here! There is parking in front if you want to be quick. I was greeted immediately and went with a pretty solid sandwich. I loved that they were quick and have plenty of seating inside. Now the sandwich was solid! Plenty of meat and avocado, but it left a tiny bit of flavor to be desired. I would genuinely come back to try something else next time.

First time here and it was a great experience. The place was clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. They took the time to explain the items on the menu and gave me the time needed to make my decision. The food portions were huge! If you order a large sandwich it can definitely be a 2nd meal the next day! We ordered the Philly cheese steak sandwich, Chipotle chicken sandwich, pastrami burger, Childs burger and fries, chili cheese fries, and jalapeño poppers. The Philly cheese steak and pastrami burger were great! The Chipotle sandwich could have used a bit more sauce. Some of it was dry. The kids burger and fries were very big portions for a child, so that will definitely be another meal for later. The chili on the chili cheese fries tasted fresh and home cooked. The jalapeño poppers were typical ones from anywhere and the sauces were good to go with everything. There is parking in the back and ample seating. They serve beer and desserts, of which I didnt get a chance to try this time around. I will definitely be coming back to try other things on the menu. So many things looked good!

Great food, awesome service, and affordable. Stopped by during a quick visit to Point Fermin and was very pleasantly surprised by this spot! Super friendly and awesome staff and the food was really spot on. Everything was also very reasonable priced. The Italian Sausage sandwich was super flavorful and the bread had a great bite to it. The pancakes also came dressed up with fruit and powdered sugar and tasted great. Eggs were cooked perfectly. My only minor complaint is the bathrooms could be a little bit tidier but they're still clean. Definitely stop by this spot if you're in the area, The Sandwich Saloon needs more recognition!

11/18/25 We ordered two sandwiches with chicken. Both sandwiches were made with old, dry, and chewy chicken, it tasted like plastic. Why would you serve dry old chicken? Smh...so disappointing!

Staff was kind and quick. The environment was clean cut. Tried 3 different sandwiches. Turkey bacon cado was a 6.7. Pastrami Swiss (basically a Reuben) give a 7.9. Philly Cheese was 8.2

Pretty, pretty, pretty good. For the omelette, the hero was the avocado. The rich and creaminess texture from the avocado made the omelette that much more enjoyable. The toast was crunchy and buttery. The coffee was a nice medium roast. The home-fried potatoes were good. However, I prefer mine a little more crispier. Seating is available at the counter, booths and in the small patio area. Service was very friendly and prompt. There is a very small parking area. I opted to park in the residential area. It's a classic diner type restaurant that serves good quality food at a reasonable price. It took me a minute to select an omelette since there were so many options on the menu. But I ultimately settled on the avocado, bacon, and cheese omelette. It came with home fried potatoes. The omelette, on its own, was pretty good. It was hearty and filling. However, when paired with their slightly spicy salsa (which doesn't come with the dish, but you can ask for), it was fantastic. Seriously, ask for the salsa. You'll thank me later. Can't say much about the home fried potatoes. The potatoes were good, but nothing special. The same can be said about the service. I don't have anything good or bad to say about it. The server did everything you would expect from a server, nothing more, nothing less. One note about this establishment before I conclude this review. They prefer cash. If you pay with a card, they will charge you an extra $1.50.

I've tried many of the other restaurants in the area and for some reason had missed this one because I don't live close by. This past weekend I gave it a try and thought it was terrific. There is a free parking lot attached on the side of the building so parking is very easy and inside is pretty large with booth seating as well as regular table seating. They also have outdoor seating as well, but it was a bit windy on the day we stopped in. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. They also had a very large amount of limited time specials so I had to take them up on one of those options. We started off with the coffee cake and I thought it was pretty good although it was gigantic. I'm a bit more of a fan of the gooier coffee cake and this was a bit cake ear but still it was enjoyable. I also tried the spicy turkey chili and thought that was a 10 out of 10. I absolutely loved the amount of spice and it had some really great flavors. For my breakfast, I chose one of the specials, which was the Carne Asada Chilaquiles and thought it was terrific. It was a ton of meat and it was honestly more than I could finish, but I really enjoyed trying to. I would definitely recommend and would stop again next time I'm in the area.

So this may have been my first (and last) breakfast here. My friend got the breakfast quesadilla, which was oozing with cheese--seemingly low-quality cheese, that gooey-looking kind. A little paltry for the price of $18. Why no beans on the side? I was considering the lobster omelette for a whopping $25 and the waiter raved about it and I let myself be persuaded. It was terrible! Drenched in a creepily orange supposed hollandaise (as we know, see photo, Hollandaise sauce is not meant to be orange), which looked like it was poured from a can. Thin and no lemon. Just some cheap flavoring. The waiter insisted that they had "made it this morning," so maybe they made it from a powder from a packet? I was starving so joylessly I ate nearly half of it and then subsisted on eating most of a generous serving of hash browns. Perhaps I was too timid. When the waiter did not offer any compensation, or to get me another plate of something else, I just dutifully sucked it up. Then he asked if we wanted coffee cake -- which should have been on the house, since he clearly realized I was not happy with the lousy omelette. If I'd not been with a person I was only meeting for the first time, I'd have been more plaintive, but I did not want to embarrass them -- they live in the area, and I do not. But just YUCK. When another friend joined us to sit and chat after our plates had been taken away he told us how he'd given up on this joint. I suggest something be done about the food quality and value.
