I was driving in the area after my cousin's wedding and I started receiving a message that I had low tire pressure in one of the wheels. Luckily, I saw that there was a spot close by that patch tires called Larry's Tire Express. I checked in and sure enough they were happy to help, got my car on a jack and quickly took off the tire and found a nail. They patched it and put it back on in about 15 minutes. From the moment I arrived until I left was probably around 20 to 25 minutes and they charged $35 for the patch. They were able to meet my needs and they all seemed pretty friendly. I'm glad I saw Larry's when I looked up a place nearby :)

Had a real bad tire that I knew had to switched out and replaced. I wanted a used one for now till I place my tire order to my regular shop. I was on the road and working so I looked around for a reasonable price. I called around and see if they had my tire size. Luckily for me Larry's had a reasonable price of $55 and had a used tire! Seen all the good reviews on Yelp and knew this place was worth my time and knew I can rely on their honesty service. I am always happy to spread the word about a good honest shop because we all know we can all use a honest and reliable shop!

I came here because I needed rear brakes and was a bit worried, however, they were good, professional, and took care of me. This is a family-run business and you can see that. I have a soft spot for such businesses. But, they had consistent business coming in and they really took care of me. I asked them for an estimate for rear brakes and they were quite attentive when I called. They responded to my request and when I called them and had to leave a message they called me back. I was in and out within 2 hours which was good. Someone called this a hidden gem, and it's truly hidden. There's a lane next to a bar that leads to this spot. I was going to leave, but the owner came out and said that he'd take care of me. And they did. I got my rear brakes and rotors for the price they quoted. Now the only sticking point is that the brakes were only guaranteed for six months. I hope they last longer, and if they do, I will be back.

Tires a bit expensive. For two no name tires (Falken 225/50r17) $390. They got them installed fast which was nice. But over filled the air pressure on the tires. Luckfully my car has a gauge. read more

Needed new rims and tires for my 1997 Honda Civic. Made appointment for next day. Jorge and his team quickly found rim damage I hadn't seen. Within a couple hours I had new rims and tires while passing the time watching the big screen TV in the comfortable and homey waiting area. I believe I received a very fair price for all they did. I had a slow leak and tried to find a tire shop that could take a look right away. Larry's Tire Express told me to just come by and they will take a look. Well, I brought it in, and they took a look and fixed my problem within 15 minutes! The price was extremely reasonable too! Everyone there was very nice! Larry's is a hidden gem. Incredibly responsive, super fast, and everyone at his tire shop is attentive, easy to work with, and overall very pleasant to be around. I had issues with a few of my tires just a few weeks apart from each other, and Larry's had the exact tire I needed that exact day. I wasn't at his shop for more than 30 minutes each visit. If you have tire needs, visit Larry's. You'll get what you need done, in half the time compared to a big name tire store. read more

This was my third time coming to Larry's and each time i leave happy because of the great work they do. I've purchase tires for my van, 100k mile service along with my oil change done here. Not only do they do great work but also have great prices. I'm glad to have found a shop that is local but also honest with affordable prices. Jorge was able to get the tires I needed for my Mazda Cx-5, Toyo A23s within 30 min of me calling. Price guaranteed to match quality of service at Larry's Tire Express. I only spent an hour waiting for a new set of tires. The waiting area was okay, but thus is an express tire shop in El Sobrante after all, so if you're after a great deal, this is your spot. Make sure to call ahead so they can try to get your tires before you arrive. Would recommend and would come back. read more

I started coming here because my dad recommended the place to me since he would take all his cars and my brother's cars here back in the day. The owners have changed from what I remember but the service is still the same. They are fast, efficient, and reasonable. Weekends will get pretty busy to the point that sometimes there's a wait before it even opens. I've had multiple occasions where I had a nail in my tire and they took it out and patched the hole for only $20! read more

Find this place by turning into the small road/driveway right next to Rancho liquor store. This is a family run shop that does more than just tires. I've had my spark plugs replaced, and changed out my whole suspension system. They do a bit of everything here. Larry's gives good honest service, best prices, quick service, and is very friendly. Would highly recommend for all your automotive needs. read more

I came in nervous because I am a girl, in Hijab. Me. In general try to fool me when it comes to cars, I came in to fix a flat and a young man took care of me as if I was family. Didn't question me with what I told him and even suggested some things. Still he did what I asked him to do without hesitation. I came back second time to get an oil change and again I was treated with respect and honesty. I came a third time to get a suggestion and I left confident with my unique situation. Strong recommend - you have found your honest, fair-priced and fast tire shop run by a kind-hearted soul and a hard-working crew. I had a flat tire on the highway driving up 80E at 5:50 pm on a Friday and thought the weekend trip was for sure out. Unbelievably, when I called Jorge at Larry's Tire Express, Jorge said, "hey, we'll stay open for you, text me a picture of what tires you need and we'll have them ready." We got to the shop around 6:25 pm, were recommended some fair-priced, high quality tires, and knew we were in good hands. By the time our order was ready at a delicious burrito shop next door, all four tires had been replaced and we were back on the road by 7:30 pm! This isn't the same Larry's Tire it used to be. My tire got a nail in it 2 months ago and I brought it here to get patched. The worker helping me told me that it wouldn't be able to get patched properly due to where the nail was stuck. They recommended that I spend $578 on a single new tire but instead I got my car towed to America's Tire in Concord and they were able to patch it properly, stating that it was just inside of the area where it would be able to get patched. 2 months later and my tire has been running perfectly fine. I can just IMAGINE had I listened and bought that expensive tire!!! Thankful I didn't. read more

Back again for another full set of tires! Second family vehicle this year. Jorge runs a great operation where customer service is outstanding! His team is top notch and honest....and extremely great prices!!! Thankfully they also perform alignments where you even get a print out of how out of alignment each wheel is. The service and care beats the pants off of any other tire shop around, and I've looked and tried others. I picked up a screw in a tire and these guys were right down the road. I was in the area for work, so I didn't have a lot of time to get it fixed. They were quick and friendly. Larry's Tire Express started back in the '80s and was run by the son's of the founder. in 2018 Jorge Rascon and his family purchased the property and kept the name. It's Larry's Tire Express goal to offer the most competitive pricing and top service around. Customer satisfaction is job 1.

Meet the Business Owner: Jorge R.

Jorge Rascon has been in the automotive business for over 20 years. He previously owned and managed JHS Automotive in San Pablo - a full-service automotive business. In November of 2018, Jorge purchased Larry's Tire Express of El Sobrante and moved his operations to the new location at 31 Pitt Way in El Sobrante. Jorge and his family help him operate what is now primarily a tire automotive shop.

I was also told that whoever replaced them used poor quality brake pads which easily burns out my pads, thus, increasing dust on my rims. NFS tires had me waiting for hours just to give me cheap pads. I was told that it was a good thing I towed my car to the other shop since I was close to losing a wheel. I wish I could get a refund for the poor service and almost causing my life to an accident that could've occurred.

My tire pressure light never came on, so I suspected the nail hadn't punctured through. The guy at the front counter was actually very nice and helpful with checking me in. But when I went to the back where the tire workers were, one of the techs told me my car "doesn't have tire pressure sensors." That is completely false MY 2022 Honda Insight DOES have TPMS. Then they tried to tell me I needed a whole new tire for $280 without showing me any real damage. The attitude from the workers in the back made it seem like they assumed I didn't know anything simply because I'm a young woman. It felt very dismissive and unprofessional. I trusted my gut and went across the street to NFS Tires for a second opinion. The tech there removed the nail, sealed the hole, patched the tire correctly and charged me $45. He confirmed the tire was totally fine and did NOT need to be replaced. Big O Tires gave me incorrect information about my own vehicle and tried to upsell me unnecessarily. Meanwhile, NFS Tires was honest, quick, and affordable. If you're in Pinole, go to NFS Tires instead they actually treat customers fairly.

From the moment I called, I felt genuinely cared for and respected. After being hit while parked in the Berkeley Bowl parking lot, I researched local shops extensively, visited two others, and got multiple estimates--but my experience at those shops was underwhelming. Then I called Accurate Auto Body, inspired by their glowing reviews, and I can personally say they earned every one of them! Don, who does estimates, was incredible. He listened carefully to all my concerns, explained my options (including bumper replacement), and even advised me against additional repairs I was considering, telling me they just weren't worth the cost to me. Who does that in the auto body industry?! Don also went above and beyond to find an OEM bumper for me, transparently sharing the vendor details. He also agreed to touch up small paint chips on my doors and roof as part of the job without any additional cost! Wow! The new bumper looks fabulous! I was really concerned that the color would be different from the original and that it would always bother me, which I discussed with Don. He totally understood and told me he had a background in automotive painting and that he would personally make sure they achieved the best color match possible. The bumper is a little darker than the original, and it looks very good. I was really relieved when I saw it--both the color and the fit! Now my car looks wonderful. Thank you, Accurate Auto Body! They also made the rental process effortless through their arrangement with Enterprise. When I picked up my car, it was spotless inside and out (cleaned exactly as I requested on the inside with no chemicals) and even came with a goody bag! I have NEVER experienced this kind of service at any other body shop. They are committed to their customers having a truly great experience with them! Bottom line: I can confidently say this is the only shop I'll go to from now on, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality, care, honesty and an all around fabulous experience!

Great value for a car wash…read more I was about to go to Richmond Hand Wash but their wait at 11am on a Friday was 1+ hour. Paid a fraction of the price for a decent outer wash. $12 at shell hands free car wash would not get you nearly as clean as what $12 can get you here. The extra scrub down before entering the car wash is the game changer! I had a bunch of bugs splattered across the entire front of my car and I don't think they would've came off if it weren't for the pre-scrub. I tipped the two gentlemen who did the pre-scrub. This is a simple exterior wash. I would suggest bringing a towel or microfiber cloth to wipe down your car afterward because your car goes through the big vacuum at the end pretty quickly.

So, it's Saturday evening in Pinole, and I decide to drop by this store and see if they have a particular oil treatment a mechanic recommended. So I walk in and the man behind the counter asked me what can he help me with. I said I just want to see your oil treatment section. Then he starts up with a lots of questions about my situation. Frankly, I was a little annoyed. But then I realized, this is part of the auto parts store experience. You don't get this when you buy things online. People sharing ideas and experiences. So I grab the product I was looking for, and go up to pay. The man behind the counter tells me his experience with occasional noisy lifters. Then he suggested another product to try. Thanks, I will keep that product in mind.

i got a flat on my way to work. i put in some generic tire sealer. well it pumped up but not for long, i pulled into larry's tire of el sobrante. i asked how much a new tire and could he help put on my donut just to get to work. he said no problem but you don't want a donut on the freeway. i told him all i had was $20. larry found a tire w/ rim that fit my honda he put it on and said go to work so you won't be late an then comeback. i gave him the $20. i came back and got a new tire for an excellent price and my $20 went towards it. thats really good friendly service and i highly recommend LARRY'S TIRES OF EL SOBRANTE read more

I had an excellent experience at Larry's Tire Shop in El Sobrante! I came in with a nail in my tire, and Ivan quickly assessed that it was a safety hazard and needed to be replaced. Not only did they take care of that right away, but Ivan also noticed I was due for an oil change and helped me out with that as well. The service was super quick, and the customer service was top-notch. Ivan was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was taken care of. Larry's has been the go-to place in El Sobrante and surrounding areas for years. A few years ago they underwent new management. Jorge Rascon and family who were in San Pablo area bought it. I've taken my car and families cars there and always walk away knowing I got great service and great prices. The place has gotten more crowded in recent months- I wish they could clear out the parking lot more, but it's worth it either way. Larry's will make sure to take great care you. read more

Earlier today I brought my Subaru Crosstrek vehicle to this shop for an oil change without an appointment and received extremely great service. In fact, the technicians also attended to an issue that I had not even mentioned to them (low air pressure in several tires). Service, cost, atmosphere were all great.
