Our recent home installation of approx 1700 SF of luxury vinyl plank could not have gone smoother from start to finish. Randy and his team (Ryan, Aaron, & Simon) showed up on time and ready to work from day 1 of 7 day demo. and install. They are the friendliest, most conscientious and courteous group of people you could hope to have in your home. They work super clean, and every night our home was left completely tidy. They were so accommodating of splitting the job into 2 sections so we could move half of the house at a time. They went above and beyond at every turn to make it as easy as possible for us. Now let me get to the AMAZING job they did on the install. We went from a combination of carpet, tile and laminate, all 22+ years old - all requiring tear out, to Luxury Vinyl Plank (Flooret Modin LVP - Arbor signature line, in case anyone is interested...another great review for another day). We had some tricky transitions, and a couple of brick fireplaces to work with. From our initial bid meeting with Randy (after interviewing with 5 other installers), it was clear this is a man who takes pride in his work. Where others wanted to take short cuts, Randy had solutions for installing in a way that would give us the look we wanted. He was able to undercut our fireplaces, giving us a perfect seamless look. The team also took great care in with the layout and pattern of the floor. His prices are VERY fair. It's a beautiful thing to see dedication, hard work, and pride in a job well done in action. Very challenging project with curved stairs & wall. We replaced 2600 sf of carpet to Mohawk engineered hardwood floor. I like their work on the transitioning part, and curved boundary. Randy's pricing was competitive and his crew jumped right into demo which involved a lot of engineered wood that seemed to be super glued to the floor. Prior to installing the LVP they floated the floors and install went very smooth. I hired Randy Larson to install laminate flooring prior to selling my home. While the finished product looks great and the job was well-done, he quoted me $8500 plus an unnamed "discount" if we removed and disposed of the existing carpet. More than halfway through, he informed me that he measured wrong and required an additional $1500, which I had no choice but to pay. He credited just $200 for carpet removal and disposal, which took two full days and a significant dollar amount to dispose of. I do not recommend a contractor who does not honor his quote and would not consider hiring again nor recommending him to anyone. read more

After looking all over yelp for flooring installers, finally came across Randy's page and decided to give him a call. Randy came by the next day to measure everything to make sure we have the right amount of materials that we needed and gave us an estimate. He let us know that he would be able to get it done in the next day or so and that is exactly what happened. Randy and his son Ryan came by Wednesday morning with all their tools to start the installation. He was very nice and was even friendly with our neighbors especially since I was worried about waking everyone up with the noise but neighbors didn't seem to complain about it. He is very thorough, extremely patient and his work is just so neat. You can tell that he really knows what he is doing and it's something he has been doing for a long time. Randy installed our hardwood flooring in 2018. It appeared to be well done at the time. In about two years, some of the boards started separating. We have raised flooring with a crawl space under our flooring. I called Randy several times to just come out, look at it, and possibly come up with a quick fix. I knew the warranty time had expired which took him off the hook for a reinstall. I thought to keep his reputation and integrity intact, he would at least come out and take a look. He would not come to the house after about 3-4 times he said he would come out. He obviously didn't want anything to do with us after we reported a problem with the floor. We found after consulting with an expert that Randy tried to use a little glue on the boards. It was a bad idea since the floor was raised. Any installer, who was competent, would know the boards had to be nailed together as apposed to gluing them. I have to have the floors reinstalled now at a total cost of $12,000. read more

I recently had Randy, Will and Aaron install new laminate in my Living room. They were so fast and did a beautiful job. I had ripped out the laminate that was in there prior and was going to attempt to install the new floor myself, but decided it was best left to a professional. I'm so glad I chose Larson's. He gave me a quote and said the job was small enough to do in a few hours so he would fit me in after another job on that upcoming Saturday. What really impressed me, was when they were laying out the bamboo flooring strips, they made sure that the strips were offset and that there were not two the same, so it looks perfect. His suggestion of using laminate in the heavier traffic areas was a great idea. The vinyl used in the kitchen and bathrooms (for waterproofing) complimented very nicely.
