I took a while to write this because I know everyone situations are different. But reading some reviews on here I see a few of my situation good or bad so I decide to write this hoping it helps a person to research all dental work! I had major teeth and gum problems; I hadn't been to a dentist in a while and was very nervous / anxiety... So, I finally wanted to get better with all this and picked here. They are extremely nice, worked with my schedule and treated me kind in the beginning. I got a permanent bridge in and needed some major work cavities, deep cleaning. I will start with the visits. They do pile people in and the dentist who is very nice gets to everyone so you will be waiting awhile in chair. They did the permanent bridge the coloring was off and she did offer to send back but I was ok it wasn't that much off. Next visit I was told it was deep cleaning only, to find out when I got there, I needed much more work and an extraction, I didn't mind that but did ask we split the visit in half because last visit was hours long and was a lot on me. They decide to do extraction which I then was told I would need a bone graph which I would pay out of pocket a few hundred more. I told the office manager I couldn't afford that because I had just taken a loan out for the other major work that wasn't covered. She told me I could get finance thru them I stated I just couldn't take more debt on right now. She was very persistent and told me we will work with you just get it done. I told her I wish I could, but I was really tight on money. I felt like the whole appointment changed from there. Dentist came in did deep cleaning and told me when I am ready for extraction, we will schedule another appointment. So, I was numbed for no reason (which I get anxiety with numbering) I was hoping to get extraction and some of the cavities done. I felt dismissed after told I couldn't pay. I got up a lil in shock no work was done. Now extraction was in back, so I didn't mind no bone graph. Usually greeted when I walk out to schedule appointment, but the lady peeked out from back and told me they would contact me for next appointment. Again, that felt lil odd. I didn't hear from them, so I emailed them with my concerns she told me that wasn't why they didn't do rest of the work. She was very rude about it, so I said o.k. hung up. I was happy the dentist reached out to me, and we did the extraction but never heard form them again about other work.I did go to another dentist for consultations after this all I went to said I should have had gum treatment before placing the bridge on. The bridge doesn't hook to my gums I have huge gap between teeth n gums so food constantly getting in there. Others told me I should have been on antibiotics & gum treatment to make gums healthy before bridge. Please just be careful and do your research. The bridge I have has huge gap and now I am having gum treatment, but they said the bridge will not connect with the gums. If I want to change it, I can to connect bridge better to gum but that will cost a lot. I went in not knowing any procedures just do research. They are very nice here just other issues have really been hard to fix because of the work done here. read more

I can't recommend this place highly enough. After Not being to see a dentist for around 10 yrs and with a terrible gag reflex I finally decided to visit my local dentist I went inside not knowing anything about this place and fearing the worst. I met with Dr Hiral Desai and she was not critical but comforting. She recommended a few things which I did including major dental work. 6 months later I am nearly there. I actually get compliments for my teeth So my advice to you is that you don't need Beverly Hills or Newport Beach dentist to do great work when you have a highly skilled and educated dentist in your back yard. (It was therapeutic to write all this.) Everyone here is SO nice. They also do a great cleaning, really. I got new dental insurance mid year and since my old dentist didn't take Level Insurance, I called someone with good ratings from the insurer's website. Initially, I don't think Larwin Dentistry had ever heard of Level (Melissa, front desk, said she'd look into it and let me know) but basically: it was $2000 to use for whatever you need, instead of coinsurance/you paying a percentage. Last time I saw the dentist- March 2023, was told my maintenance was going well. I went here- November 2023. My bill? Came out to be exactly $2000 and some change and a list of teeth that needed a crown Jan 1 for when it resets. Oh. Okay. [insert Bernie Kropp 'coINCEDENCE?!' gif here]. Also, there is now a huge gap between my molars that just wasn't there before- idk if it was necessary to fix my tooth so much that now everything gets stuck in between, forever, but hey, I didn't go to dental school. They were nice, great at explaining all things teeth and for what it's worth- it was mostly my insurance pockets they dug at not mine. At the same time overservicing is an all too common practice among dentists and no amount of telling me how beautiful my eyelashes are is going to restore the tooth they shaved down. I had an emergency over the weekend which needed some immediate assistance and I was looked at on the same day I called. I'm glad I'm a patient at this practice. The temporary work was done on the same day to correct my issue which in turn enable me to brush my teeth, eat food and carry on with my day to day activity; while I work out a long term approach my issue. Hadn't been looked at it on the same day, it would've been so aggravating and I would've been so miserable till it get fixed. Since that visit, I have recommended a few of my friends to this practice and my friends are very happy with the care that they've received and they thanked me for it. She is very friendly & welcome that's why my son 3,5 years old was so enjoyed the environment there and running around to explore new place. Dr. Gestoso, she is young but she is very professional & knowledges Dentist on the Dental Field. She also had a gentle touches on my son's mouth to evaluated on my son's Cavities to make sure everything was ok with Silver Diamine Fluoride" (SDF) which has been treated to Stop Cavities Spread out to prolong my son's age until my son older enough for filling cavities if needed. After that, Dental Assistant I guest ( sorry I don't know your name) helped me to took some Video Pictures ( not X-ray) of My son's Cavities teeth about 10-15 minutes to get all done. She is very friendly, professional & patient with my son. This was first time ever my son cooperated with Dental office to finished all pictures in his mouth. After we got all done needs at the exam, while I talked with Dr. Gestoso, I met Dr Hiral Desai ( Owner) came to double check for make sure everything was ok. We had very good conversations about my son's cavities teeth with treatment SDF medicine. They explained everything about this treatment and reminded us monitor my son's cavities every day for make sure all cavities not getting bigger. Any time sees any symptoms like hurting or painful or any infections on cavities teeth then contact to office asap to get treatment. While I went to a lot of different Pediatric Dentists, Most of them recommended to put my son goes to sleep undergo General Anesthesia (GA) for filling his Cavities even this option very RISKY & DANGEROUS to our Kids's life even my son's cavities does not bother to his life now, no hurting, no painful and no any infections. But they don't care, they just need money and they have been making Money on Kids's Life. Because of filling kid's Cavities undergo GA will make a lot of Money than regular filling without put to sleep. As a Mom of boy 3,5 years old. All Mom who has minor kids have cavities but don't want to filling cavities undergo General Anesthesia. So I'm one of those people that are afraid of the dentist and try to avoid it at all cost. I had to come and get looked at because of an on going toothache. Turns out I need multiple procedures done. With that being said this is my 3rd visit and the staff is phenomenal. Dr. Escudero is kind and very careful. I just came out of a root canal and I was falling asleep during the procedure. I am very careful when selecting a dentist i.e., I don't just go to any local dentist. I closely check credentials, years in practice, and reviews because I visit the dentist every 6 months. At Larwin, there were ("were" is a key word here) two dentists: Ryan Escudero and Nilesh Patel. I selected Dr. Escudero and was very happy with him. However, several months back, Dr. Escudero was out of the office and Dr. Patel came in to see me at my cleaning appointment. Yikes! Run and take your purse with you! He came in, didn't even look in my mouth, and started to recite all of this "necessary" dental work. And, on top of that, he could do some of it on that day, how convenient for me!! I thought this was very odd because I have been seeing Dr. Escudero routinely and he never mentioned any of this "necessary" work. So, I told Patel I'd have to think about it, and left. And I also read the front desk the "riot act" informing them that they could not just pull a dentist "switcharoo" on me, and that I was not at all happy with Patel. Then, when I saw Dr. Escudero at my next cleaning, I asked him about this additional work and he didn't seem to feel that any of it was "necessary". Well, this week, my husband goes in for his cleaning and to see Dr. Escudero. Well, another "switcharoo", and Patel waltzes in. Apparently, Dr. Escudero just left this practice, and you would think that they would have sent his patients letters announcing this but they didn't. And, as usual, Patel starts telling my husband about all this dental work he needs including repair of a filling in his front tooth. However, my husband doesn't even have a filling in any of his front teeth!!! Thankfully, my husband was wise to this con and just left. I strongly recommend avoiding this place - Dr. Escudero has left so there is really no point unless you enjoy having, and paying for, unnecessary dental work. read more

25 years ago I had great teeth due to braces, regular dental visits and decent dental hygiene in my teenage years. Then as a young adult on my own, went to a new dentist only to give me a horror story about the need to extract an impacted wisdom tooth. Long story short, the explanation of the procedure horrified me. Horrified to the point I stopped visiting dentists altogether. Well, the wisdom tooth erupted years ago but yet never had pain or crowding. That said, recently decided to face my fears after renewed faith in my new dentist, Dr. Escudero. A month out, the appointment was scheduled with an oral surgeon, Dr. Solomon. So there I was with a countdown of 30 days to something I dreaded for all my adult life. The day came and it was the first time I met Dr. Solomon (Oral Surgeon). Like Dr. Escudero, his sensible and comforting approach kept me at ease. 15 minutes later, the drama I feared was over. I walked out coherent and relatively pain free. 72 hours later, can't believe what a whiny baby everyone including my wife had to deal with when it was not a big deal. And that all said, I saw the condition of the extracted tooth and saw such utter decay and corrosion that I am truly grateful I didn't have some serious bacterial effect in my bloodstream - in my unprofessional perspective, it was that bad. I can't imagine the impending consequences if I didn't deal with this. Working in the medical field myself, I sum up my positive experience to bed side or chair side manner. These gentlemen restored my faith and confidence in something that traumatized me to a point of neglect for for way too long. I now look forward to keeping up my oral hygiene and dental appearance I didn't think was possible even last week. First, to my wife I thank her for her patience to put up with my neglect and attitude but most of all grateful to put my total trust, faith and confidence in Larwin Square Dentistry to renew my smile. I'm only doing a review for one reason only and that's to tell you about how great the dentists and dental assistants are but how HORRIBLE their office manager Christine is. When my wife first brought me to Dr. Patel's office I was anxious and nervous because I hated going to the dentist. But Dr. Patel and Dr. Escudero were patient and gentle. Their dental assistants are amazing. Always laughing and having great conversations with my wife and I. And I honestly was so happy to finally find a dentist that I felt comfortable going to. After my first visit, I had to come back for more dental work and EVERY SINGLE TIME we came back Christine was so condescending towards my wife because my wife didn't want to do certain treatment or because she wanted to space out her treatment. As soon as my wife would go sit in the back and I was waiting for her in the waiting room Christine would start bad mouthing her, saying "oh she's being a baby." "She's only dragging along her treatment" oh and my personal favorite "monica is a procrastinator when it comes to her treatment and that's why she needs a root canal". Like I couldn't believe it, I never said anything because we were both in the middle of treatment with them AND like I said before we LOVE our dentists. But every time we knew we had an appointment. We would always say "let's cancel or reschedule" because just the thought of walking into the office with Christine would give us anxiety. When we actually went into our appointments we would have to give ourselves pep talks to get us to actually walk in. Can you imagine having a fear of the dentist and then FINALY finding one you love only for it to be ruined by a manager who doesn't know a thing about customer service and bath mouths the patients. Needless to say, we won't be coming back because of Christine but thank you to Brenda and Yesenia for always being kind and wonderful towards us. read more

I am lucky to be a patient at Larwin Square Dentistry. Dr Patel, Dr D, Dr Escuardo, and the entire staff really care about their patients and their oral health. I broke my two front teeth two years back, Dr Patel came to the rescue and gave it some fillings. One year later he put crowns on my teeth, over the course of one year I forgot I had them on. I came here for oral surgery to remove my wisdom teeth, the process was not bad at all, Dr Solomon removed all of it, and I didn't even feel a things, except after wards when it started to hurt but they gave some pain killers to help alleviate the pain of my mouth. I would highly recommend this place, the staff are nice, and caring, they want their patients to have the best health possible. read more
