Like most Mexican seafood places, there's plenty of shrimp dinners. But this one has more than most, including something I hadn't seen before: shrimp stuffed with crab and wrapped in bacon. The bacon, which was very crisp, entirely covered the shrimp except for the tail (with shell) sticking out. Five very large pieces. Bite into one (or cut it with a knife, the better option) and you could easily taste all three ingredients. Really delicious. And so were the gratifyingly light rice and beans that also came on the plate, along with more than the usual quantity of salad. I couldn't pronounce the name of the soup that I wanted on the picture and she told me the name once I ordered I didn't think the food was gonna be that good but the soup is phenomenal and it also comes with a salad and rice. My family comes here often due to my family members that live out here really like the reasonable prices. And everytime we receive great service. I usually get their horchata and a burrito. Their burritos are yummy, but sometimes at times it won't have flavor. A little bit of lime helps, but is a bit disappointing when it's not super flavorful. The name translates to "Acapulco Breezes". Doesn't that sound idyllic like you'd be sitting in a beach cabana in front of crashing waves? Well, it's on Mission just south of Cesar Chavez, so the only thing likely to crash are the cars careening around the corner and disregarding the crosswalk signal. I have got to remember how much they dish out here. It's a lot per order and not because I told them to jumbo-size my order. I must have been in the mood for some kind of Acapulco-style seafood meal because that's what drew me in. While mindlessly munching on the fairly substantial corn chips, I thought I'd start with what I presumed was an appetizer, the $6.95 Platanos con Chicarron, but it was a hearty entree with chunks of fried pork mixed with fried plantains on a bed of lettuce and covered with a crunchy slaw with cabbage and onions (photo: http://bit.ly/38bh5P9). That was a good price for all that food even though it was a lot greasier than I was hoping. That made it more of a challenge to eat since the broth was boiling hot. Even with flour tortillas doubling as potholders, I kept burning my fingers trying to pick the shrimp to peel it. Guess I wasn't feeling the breezes of Acapulco as much as I was the Pepto Bismol of CVS. We found meter parking that is free on Sundays, food and the service was amazingly great! There was 3 female employees 2 cooks and 1 cashier/ waitress. What a find in the Outer Mission! This place is really interesting, and has a very different vibe than most of the taquerias between 16th and 24th streets. Quieter, but also more comfortable seating, including booths. Seems like their speciality is seafood, particularly shrimp (camarones). We had the milk empandas (sweet and tasty!), enchiladas, and fish burrito. Stellar. You order at the counter, but you don't have to pay until the end of the meal. Just ordered here The conchas negras was old and it was about 19 something on the menu but the owner charged 24 on the invoice I got a super quesadilla salsa and sour cream comes it and he charged three dollars for each item that comes with the super quesadilla (sour cream, avocado, pico) and his service was terrible and he's the owner. He was also taking shots of alcohol as he was servicing other customers. The pupusa was good but the conchas negras was old and super fishy like it wasn't fresh. The price for seafood that was not fresh along with the onions and tomatoes that weren't fresh was just a gimmick. The food here is OK. But the customer service is absolutely horrible. Stuck up waiters and waitresses. And seriously watch out if you don't shake "the guys" hand. I'm not sure if he's the owner or just a waiter, but hand to God he will give you the absolute worst customer service ever if you reject to shake his hand. Because of this reason I do not want to come here anymore. He started asking me about my personal life, and basically called me a liar when I said I was engaged. This dude has problems. I have friends who come here a lot, but ever since I didn't shake that guys hand who I don't know , and don't know where his hand has been, I have received shitty service..
