Galbi Sando

Chicken Cup Bap - was okay lightly spicy but it builds after a good amount of eating. The chicken had a great crunch but a bit overly breaded. Sampler was okay - probably would've skipped it and only gotten the original and rosemary as those were the only ones we really liked. Galbi sando - was not my favorite but the fries were delicious! The bread was a bit consumed by the ingredients inside. (Opted into no whip) Strawberry matcha was nicely balanced. (Opted into no whip) Ube matcha was not my cup of tea it was not well balanced. Service was prompt, staff was nice, and the seating area wasn't overly crowded.

Went back today and everything was great but there was mold on my orange with no apologize when discovered, or after a new one was served lol

Very nice place and food is good not so many options but will definitely try the ither food on the menu. Please add more flavor on the Bulgogi :) Good for a quick korean meal. They close early but service is quick and nice. The place is cozy and clean. I wish I could have enjoy my meal though. I can't eat very quick and someone just felt pressured because they were closing and check has been given on our table after asking if we need anything else. :/

Kimchi Fried Rice

Surisan has been one of my bookmarked places to try for a while and finally got a chance to check them out. Arrived on Saturday at around 11am. We were second in the check-in line, but took some time for them to greet and seat people. We were told all the tables indoor were taken but there was seating available in the upper outside area. Hubs and kiddo shared the Kimchi fried rice and the chicken wings (honey butter / soy garlic). They noted the chicken wings were crispy. They seemed to like the soy and garlic, but would've liked more flavor for the honey butter. I ordered the Creamchi Rice Cake. Kiddo loved the sauce on top of the fried rice. This was a good dish. The rice cake had a good chewy texture and the portion size was pretty decent.

We made a reservation and had the option to sit either indoors or outdoors. Our server was incredibly friendly, and we came here to celebrate a birthday! There are a few similar brunch spots in San Francisco that serve millionaire bacon, but this one stands out as an Asian fusion brunch restaurant with a very clean space and a great ambiance. Chicken Wings - We tried both the hot spicy and soy garlic flavors. The wings were well made, crispy, and full of flavor. French Toast - My favorite item! It had a cream filling inside, and I believe the toast was double-fried. The fresh fruit balanced everything nicely, especially with the cinnamon syrup.

This place is trendy and big, with ample patio and inside seating. It was quiet on a Monday night and we received our food quickly. I can't say much about the food pictured but the presentation was good and it smelled tasty. I got the Premium Chicken Soup. It was so tasty I forgot to take a picture before digging in. It was hearty, comfy and enjoyable. That being said, this place is nothing special. It's a nice Korean fusion place and I'd go again if I were in the area but wouldn't go out of my way to visit. However if you are in the area, it's a worthy meal.

Chicken & Ricotta Waffle

Ordered the chicken and ricotta. It was awesome. Chicken had lots of flavor and pair well with the waffle. Waffle was super soft as well. Service was great and fast.

Went here for both dinner and brunch and I can say that you go to surisan for their delicious Korean fusion brunch goodness! There is a waitlist for the weekends with a 30min est. wait time but it's well worth it! Easy to kill time around the area since you're near the pier to catch a stunning morning view. Staff is very quick & attentive despite their headcount to customer ratio so kudos to that! I've had great quick experiences in both settings. Must gets: Korean fried chicken (soy garlic in particular, skip the honey butter) Galbjim eggs Benedict, the fatty saltiness of the pork really compliments the light and creamy goodness of an eggs Benedict! Hollaindaise sauce was delicious as well!!

The food was okay. I don't go here very often, it's not my side of town and I don't often have a reason to be in the area. In the past, service was really slow. I once 20 minures of my life to get the bill, pay it and leave. I should have gotten up and asked but I didn't feel like that should be required. Over the years, they've proven to be a great spot to take friends from out of town, s long as those friends are willing, able and excited about Korean fusion. They have a few standards. This Last time I got to hang out, the staff was very accommodating, we were never rushed and the timing of the food, once we ordered as really quick to show up on the table. And they have the bacon. I wish the Bacon came inside the bloody Mary but it doesn't.

Morning Jook
Sarah Z.

A classic Asian brunch spot! Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Service was also great. I ordered the Morning Jook, which I loved. It's rare to see brunch places serve porridge, which was why I was so excited for it. Very hearty and honestly perfect for hangovers too :P My friends and I also tried the Blueberry French Toast which was so delish. Everything was so delicious!

Blackstone Benedict
Jade W.

I would say the overall aesthetic of the restaurant is very nice whether you sit indoors or outdoors. Went on a Sunday for brunch around 12:30 pm with a reservation, but even if we didn't have a reservation it seems like there wouldn't have been a wait, which is good. Our waiter was great and I appreciated him since he was very straightforward and honest about his opinions when we asked what was popular. We decided to order the K-tacos, Chicken and Ricotta Waffle, and the Blackstone Benedict. While the presentation of the food was pretty, unfortunately the waffle was soggy and not crispy at all. The blackstone benedict was good, the bacon flavor is rich and sweet. However, the yukon potatoes were disappointing as the outside was only slightly crunchy, yet the inside felt like it wasn't cooked long enough since it wasn't soft or flaky. Ultimately, this is a good spot for brunch atmosphere and presentation wise, but the food itself is just average. 3.5/5 stars

Iced Banana Latte
Brian L.

Fantastic Korean Brunch. Banana latte was a hit. The millionaire bacon is probably one of the best that I've ever had. At first, a sweet flavor that quickly shifts to a spicy kick. I would even suggest maybe only ordering the bacon if you aren't that hungry. Overall, really good food and would suggest you try if you are in the area.

Two Eggs Any Style
Brennan S.

Best brunch I've had in a long time. Surisan excelled with food quality, flavor and service. I got two scrambled eggs, popover, potatoes and the Millionaire bacon. I can see why Surisan is known for its Millionaire bacon because it is the best I've ever had. It's coated with brown cinnamon sugar and cayenne pepper. The balance between sweet and spicy was delicious. The eggs were fluffy, the popover was airy and sweet and the potatoes were crisp and flavorful. I also got an americano, the coffee was bold and smooth. I also love how close Surisan is to Pier 39. It was nice walking around/sightseeing after eating!

Is it warm enough eating outdoors here in the winter?

Hi Kathlee, We have heaters in the patio area. Yes, it will be warm enough. If you have any questions, please let me know.…

When does breakfast end? when do bottomless mimosas end?

Where is thệ nearest parking lot?

There is also a paid parking lot across the street.

Is pet friendly? And do I need reservations?

Yes they are pet friendly, thanks to their enclosed patio! Reservations are strongly recommended but walkins are also available.

My daughter is vegan and I just made reservations for dinner - do you have any vegan dishes and if so what are they? Thank you!

The closest thing to vegan, they do have tofu dishes and I think you can request the restaurant to make it vegan. But always good to contact the restaurant to see if they can accommodate your request.

I am trying to make a reservation for tomorrow night at 5:30pm for 9 people?

You should call them or try to make reservations on yelp.

Is it the same or related to Kitchen Story @ Castro?

Same ownership, but Surisan is more korean infused while kitchen story has more of a Thai influence. Surisan still has Thai touches as well.

Are there any dishes without soy and wheat?? For instance 100% rice or potatoe noodles.

Is the outdoor seating pet friendly?

Yes! Last time I saw a big pet rabbit (the size of a dog) in the out door dining. And that rabbit was riding a hot wheel when it left.

Is there any vegan options here?

I didn't see any, I'd suggest calling to get better clarity.

Hi your mailbox is full and I wanted to change my 7 pm reservation for today to 7:30?

Do you need to provide proof of vaccination for outdoor seating?

Proof of vaccination and ID are required for indoor seating only.

Is inside dining open?

Yes but you need to show your covid vaccination card to be seated.

Does Surisan have a full bar?

Not a full bar, only beer, wine and soju cocktails

Where do we park?

Street parking or there's a garage across street

Can you bring dogs for outdoor seating?

yes, we are a dog friendly restaurant.

Are there vegetarian options?

There are but it's very limited (only a small selection of dishes)

Do they serve soju cocktail during brunch?

Yes they do! I posted their brunch menu which has soju options.

Are there walk-ins on Saturdays?

Weekends are super busy & the waitlist can be so long that the wait time can be upwards of 150+ minutes. I wouldn't bank on walking in without a reservation!

How can I make reservation for sept?

On yelp you can

One of my favorite dining experiences in SF (and it's a tough category to win in)! This review is…read morelong overdue as I had an amazing experience at Trestle for a birthday dinner a whole year ago. By sheer luck, my birthday coincided with the 4-course for $45 promotion they were running for their 10-year anniversary. I had to jump at the opportunity, especially since the menu was built from the all time favorite items at the restaurant since their opening. I really couldn't think of a better way to experience a restaurant for the first time. While some set course meals have a few misses, this one was just hit after hit the entire way through. I really felt as if every course was complimentary, but different enough in their own way to stand on their own and make an impact. Tldr: the food was amazing! The icing on the cake (figuratively and literally) was just how far they went out of their way to make my birthday night special. Exceptional service, bringing out a complimentary dessert with a candle, and even leaving a personalized card elevated this experience to the next level. Would highly recommend paying Trestle a visit, and I can't wait for the next time I'm able to try their new menus myself!

Can no longer recommend for special night…read more My husband and I came here a number of times probably 8-10 years ago. We always had a really great dining experience but after moving further away and having kids, we never found our way back until recently. Having nostalgia and taking advantage of being child free, we came here for my birthday. While we were greated with great friendliness by the female hostess and even handed a nice little happy birthday card/note, the mood was pretty quickly killed. Our waiter (an Asian male) literally dropped off the menu and asked for our water order with zero conversation. I took regular still water and my husband asked for sparkling water. We waited quite a while watching him exchange pleasantries with the table next to us (a group of 4) and even the other table of two on our other side. I could see the dining room from my seat and noticed that the tables of people who arrived before and after us all has their drinks - some with cokes and other with wine. My husband after maybe 5-10 minutes still had no water. When the waiter finally came back to us, he said in the most curt tone I have experience at a restaurant - tell me your whole order now. I interjected saying, excuse me my husband has not even received his water yet. He seemed annoyed at my response and just said, your water will come out with your food. What kind of response was that? It was not apologetic and almost accusatory that I dated ask. I told him that I'm seeing everyone else served their drinks, water seems like a bare minimum request after all our wait. He continued to be pretty rude. Never explained the menu or made any recommendations. Just "ok". It was a really unpleasant birthday dinner. We told ourselves maybe he has some spectrum qualities, but based on his interactions with the table next to us that didn't seem like a plausible excuse. Service aside, the food pacing was so fast. It felt like there was no time to enjoy the meal because once they took one plate away it seemed like the next course was immediately served. Overall the meal was satisfactory, but I don't think we'll ever be coming back at this point with so many other options in the city. We felt really unwelcomed by the service for whatever reason.

Good wine and cocktail selection from the bar. I would pass on their burgers though which are mediocre. What makes this place 5-stars is the service and ambiance. Since it's along the Embarcadero and close to Fisherman's Wharf, a lot of tourists tend to wander in. And this is probably why their website says there's a strict dress code. From changes in the menu to headcount, she was so receptive and gave great recommendations. Everyone was thrilled with the venue and food selection. Everything served was delicious and well appreciated. My personal favorite were the raw items- the beef tartare, sushi, and oysters were divine. The beef tartare had such a thoughtful presentation, as it was served with Asian pear upon a delicate rice cracker. I also loved the french fries and housemade potato chips that were ordered! The truffled ham and cheese croquettes had a delightful creamy spice to them due to the harissa inside them, it was so savory with a layered flavor to them. I also loved the chicken tsukune, everything was amazing to lay our eyes on and to eat. I think my very minor issue would be that I ordered non-alcoholic beverage packages for my entire party and alcoholic beverages for a few, and I would say that the selection could be a bit more expansive and also elaborate upon what beverages there are to choose from.
