My family and I went to this place craving some seafood. I soon I we walk in there's was only one server ok. Order drinks and shrimp empanadas to start. It took 20 minutes to get the empanadas!!! We were starving we asked the girl why it was taking too long? She said there was only one cook. Finally we got the empanadas and 10 minutes later our food. 30 minutes to get our food and we were the only ones there. I got the filete relleno, not good very salty. We will never go back here! Service was horrible and also expensive. $150 for 3 dishes and empanadas. Bad service bad food. My sis ordered the coctel de camaron and it was light, FRESH, and tasty. I would probably order this next time. And also the camarones ala diabla.That i didnt like. It was flavorless, shrimp werent deveined properly and just didnt taste good. Rice and beans that dishes like those come with are ok. Not tasty but no bland. Overall, I would come back to this place. Michelada's are horrible they taste like only Clamato juice, both tostadas of shrimp and fish are bad (there was trash IN my shrimp tostada, gross!)oysters were ok, and aguachiles were bomb (nice and spicy). Food here is amazing. Everything that've had is great. On the weekends it does get pretty loud with the music. But you can always get the food to go. Their fish/ shrimp tacos are to dye for. I don't remember how I came across this place but when I saw the pics on Yelp I knew husband and I had to make a date night out of it. That night he was off work late so we were rushing to the food truck but we couldn't find it where it usually parks. He decided to call the number to get directions and sadly the employee said they were closed already because of the time change BUT he welcomed us to the actual restaurant. YES! We flew over and it was a busy night with karaoke. I ordered the tacos gobernador and he ordered a tostada and a cocktail. My order was huge and included the tacos, salad, and rice. Oh but they also give you tostadas to nibble on before your meal and a consume (probably my favorite part tbh). My tacos were good but I honestly prefer them from Urbana in Anaheim and their green sauce is spicy but I prefer red sauce (any red chili really as long as it's spicy). My husband loves the food from there too. We have been back about three times so this is one of our staples now for date night. If there was a 'minus' star, this places deserves it. This place is a total rip off. They charge $2 for a bottle water without even telling you that they would charge for it. It is a Kirkland bottle water which costs about 7 cents at Costco. Also, prices and tax don't add up so be careful and double check what you are going to pay for. This place reminds me of one of my favorite mariscos places in SoCal... Mariscos Chente (and Coni's Seafood). Shrimp ceviche was super good (with raw, whole shrimp), as were the the tacos gobernador (grilled shrimp tacos filled with melted cheese). There are pricey items on the menu, but as far a seafood goes, everything is priced fairly, IMO. The place is authentic (we were the only non-hispanics in the place), micheladas were huge and fantastic, the only drawback was a Mexican quartet that was playing live music in the place (it was a Sunday afternoon). It's a small restaurant, and you literally could not talk to each other because it was so loud. Bottom line, if you're looking for a legit mariscos place in Orange County, this is one of the better ones I've tried. read more
