The food is terrific, the staff is helpful without making you feel rushed, the atmosphere is relaxing. You can hold a conversation without being drowned out by noise. It's my favorite place to go when I crave homemade chicken soup with carrots, potatoes, and avocadoes. Had a craving for Mexican food and this is my always my go to place. Small, maybe 15 tables and if you go during season, there's always a line to get in. Monday night we breezed in a little after 8 o'clock. Got a nice table. ordered a couple of margaritas devoured the bowl of free chips and had another solid meal. Love the no carb tacos. Choice of chicken, beef, or mahi wrapped in lettuce instead of a tortilla. Come through to an order. Delicious without the guilt. This place is such a local secret! If you don't mind a dive-y atmosphere, the food and service are worth it. They immediately greet you with the best salsa and chip. Beware of their spicy salsa, because it's HOT! Everything on the menu is super affordable, including their drinks (which is so rare these days). The mole and green sauce is my fave on the menu! This review is based on only one experience and it was a take-away order. I would not normally post such a review but felt it appropriate, since it was such a positive experience. This was my first time obtaining food from Las Fajitas, and I discovered it because I went to their sister store, Señor Burrito, which was closed during lunchtime. I had one goal - to pick up their chicken soup. From prior experiences at El Señor - the chicken soup is incredible. Not salty at all, it contains huge chunks of white chicken, numerous veggies with the stand out being carrots and huge chunks of potatoes. Just enough spices. I did not order in advance. As soon as I entered there was a host/general manger who was offering me a table until I explained I wanted takeout. He asked if what and I said your soup. He took my order at the bar, and responded to my query whether they charged a fee for using a credit card. No fees, vs El Señor which charges 3%. The soup was prepared for takeout, wrapped carefully in a large brown bag which was then placed in a plastic shopping bag. Chips and salsa, provided free at El Señor, was $5 here. They have their own parking, which was a challenge as it was not on flat ground, car had to be ultra carefully parking on the incline around the entry. The area was full with cars. Location is Dixie Highway off of 23rd Street. The sign is not large and I drove past it the first time and had to make U-turn and head back. And by the way the soup was bought to address nasty colds that my husband and I had. And it helped heal us! read more

It's everything you want from a Mexican spot! Dim lighting, home in the wall vibes, and great food. I got the Tacos Asada which was 3 steak tacos with corn tortillas, cheese, avocado sauce, another sauce, and rice & refried beans. It was so yummy, and it was so much I didn't finish the rice and beans! My husband got the steak burrito, and he loved it. He also couldn't finish the last few bites. I hate blaring lights and loud music when I am drinking tequilla! I ordered the Fajitas (steak) and they were delicious. I got 5 fajita wraps and ate 4 of them and made one for later to go. I ate that while watching late night tv. The fajitas come with rice and refried beans and the portion was perfect. Not too much not too little! Just enough! And so tasty! I hadnt thought about this place in years until my friend mentioned it to me. I was so glad she did and that I said lets meet for drinks! We were both there in no time enjoying a cool refreshing margarita! They have other flavored margaritas but the pomegranate was the best! I would give them zero stars if I could. for starters they claim it's a full bar. but all they have is margaritas and sangría. no ability to mix anything at all. secondly appetizer chips are bland and not crunchy at all, they have a "stale yesterday" taste to them. the salsa they bring you with them has a puddle of water on top of it and it has no flavor other than the tomatoes they used to make it. we ordered flautas, quesadilla and a burrito. the quesadilla was the only thing worth eating at most (go figure the easiest thing to make). The flautas were smaller than the frozen ones from Costco, they were supposed to come with a side of beans, but they consider a small to go salsa container a side . That's what they serve the side of beans in. Also was suppose to have guacamole on top of the flautas. Instead there was some sort of watered down green sauce and no guacamole. The burrito or poor excuse for one was very bad. The sauce they drench on it tastes like a mix of ketchup and Valentina hot sauce. my wife and I had one bite each and left the rest. Sad part is, that burrito was recommended by the server. food was so bad that we couldnt finish our beer. after all of that we had to ask for our bill, twice. Whyle we waited on the eternal bill to come, we realized that stale chips go better with the bad after taste of their red sauce (go figure). on the way out we got the first smile from a server. I will hold back what happened when we got home, but I will leave it to your imagination. Do not recommend, spend your money elsewhere. McDonald's would have been a better option, and it's honestly a disgrace for McDonald's to be compared to them. read more

I'm not writing this to be petty, because I have eaten here for decades... but my wife and I came in this past week and shared our entrees... and we both got very ill. My wife only had a part of the burrito I ordered while I ate the rest, and I had food poisoning to a pretty significant degree. Hers wasn't as bad as she felt it tasted funny and only had a few bites. We love this place and I felt I had to mention this because this is not par for the course for las fajitas. Hopefully the management can get the prep person or cook who allowed this to happen to fix their mistakes so it doesn't happen again. read more

The portions are large and the prices are reasonable. The guacamole was very fresh. The Chicken Enchiladas were good, but the sauce was nothing special (did not taste homemade). I went for lunch and was greeted by the waiter quickly. It was not too crowded, but I ordered a margarita on the rocks. I wanted Tajin, but had to settle for salt. I ordered the chicken enchiladas tomatillo style. The margarita and the enchiladas were excellent. This is closer to authentic Mexican and they have different sauces. I am used to tomatillo, so was tentative about trying others. Their chips and salsa were complimentary and they had a regular and spicy salsa. Both were very good. When I asked for the restroom, it was outside. I thought that was a little strange, (ie. gas station restroom-ish) but it was very clean and I was happy about that. Overall I will recommend and will be back. The margarita was $6.50, which I thought was a very good price. I can't remember my waiter's name, but he was great! read more

This was my first visit to this local favorite. Parking is limited as is seating. We found them on a short wait. They have a decent Happy Hour and we enjoyed their house margarita. Chips and salsa are complementary. The salsa tasted fresh, but did lack flavor. We ordered the chicken quesadilla to start, which was ok, but not flavorful. My friend ordered the steak fajitas, which smelled good, and she enjoyed. My other friend had the Chicken Me burrito, which was big, and tasted pretty good ( I ste a bite). I ordered the beef flautas which were underwhelming. The lacked sufficient filling, and were served with a tiny cup of beans. I have had better. Our service was good, but overall the food was average. I would still recommend a visit if in the area for Happy Hour. read more

What can I say about this place? If you read the reviews, I must agree the food is not great but the atmosphere is. And you know what else is great? Their Chips and Salsa. Hands down one of the best! As soon as you walk in and sit, they put a basket of warm chips in front of you with their salsa on the side. Now, if you like your salsa to be spicy, ask for their green salsa too. It is too spicy for my taste but if you add a bit of this to their regular salsa, it just brings it to a whole other level, and you won't be able to stop eating. On top of that their margaritas are only $5! And they are served in a large margarita glass with salt on the rim. They also have $5 draft beers, $4 wines, $3 beers, plus vodka, rum, and other spirits. Regarding the food, as mentioned, I agree they are not the best but, I did find what they are good at and that is, as their name says, the fajitas. I was pleased with the steak ones we ordered and it was enough to share, with rice and beans on the side, and if you make it "loaded" they add the guac, sour cream, and other add ons for about $16. So, for me, this is a place to grab a cheap good drink, chips and salsa to hang out for a bit, and for that they get my 4 stars! read more

Los fajitas is a great little spot. Come here often for lunch with my friends. The chips and salsa are the best! They have a great lunch menu with a good variety of selections. They even have five dollar margaritas and sangria. I had the flautas this time and they were very crispy and light. Friends got a grilled chicken, salad and spinach tostadas. The winner today was those tostadas! The creamy avocado sauce just put it over the top along with the crumbled feta. Next time for sure, I'll be getting those! The only thing on the menu that I've had in the past that I did not prefer were the fish tacos, which I found to be bland. Other than that everything has been pretty darn good. Every once in a while you find a restaurant, a hidden gem, that makes you smile! This is it. My fiancé is opening a restaurant in Boca soon & has rented an apartment nearby. We are both huge Mexican restaurant fans. He has already been here once. He took me last night. The True barometer of a Mexican restaurant, to me, it's always the salsa. Two salsas here. Packed with flavor. The salsa Verde packs some heat and we were told about it- it was fantastic! The chips are homemade and fresh. I can't remember the last time we had a Patron margarita that didn't break the bank. The prices here are so reasonable. Fresh lime juice in the margaritas too. Outstanding service at the bar too. Every seat was filled. Remember to tip well. Everybody is working so hard. Oh! And Jolly Rancher candy for each of us! So nice. We look forward to returning!! read more

I recently visited this restaurant and it is a small hole in the wall. I had many recommendations to visit here from friends. It is very small but has a romantic atmosphere as the lights are dim and it is very intimate. The staff is very kind and on top of the services. Las Fajitas. What can we say. This restaurant is a weekly staple in our diet. Definitely nothing to look at on the outside, but opens up a lovely Mexican cantina ambience on the inside. There are only 11 tables and an 8 stool bar and the bathrooms are found from external doors. The lights are kept dim and it feels like you are stepping into a desert bar in Guadalajara. The staff is incredibly friendly and know to take care of and look after their regulars. The bar is well stocked with a lovely selection of tequila. Most importantly the food is reasonably priced but packs a Mike Tyson sized punch of flavor. When you come expect to wait 10, 15 or 20 minutes, so after giving your name to the manager walk over to the bar and grab yourself a drink while you wait outside for a table to become free. With quite a few number of low star reviews, I was hesitant going here. To my surprise I had a great experience here. The staff is so speedy you can be in and out of this place quickly! I cannot believe some of my fellow yelpers had slow service here. Literally you could blink and the waitress was so quick you didn't even see her take away your plate, or bring your check! I ordered the combination of steak and chicken Fajitas. I'm usually not a huge chicken fan but I actually preferred the chicken vs the steak here! It had excellent flavor. I also got it "loaded" which means it came with guacamole, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, and red sauce. (you gotta get it loaded if you get the fajitas) The guac was so good it definitely gave the fajitas that extra flavor! My boyfriend ordered the Chipotle burrito which he really seemed to like. He said that the chicken tasted really fresh and the chipotle sauce is awesome. If you come here, you have to try a margarita! I had the house margarita, and my boyfriend got the Patron margarita, his tasted way better so next time I would get that! For dessert we got the Flan.
