Chips and salsa
Lydia B.

This place is such a local secret! If you don't mind a dive-y atmosphere, the food and service are worth it. They immediately greet you with the best salsa and chip. Beware of their spicy salsa, because it's HOT! Everything on the menu is super affordable, including their drinks (which is so rare these days). The mole and green sauce is my fave on the menu! If you want a quick bite and are craving Mexican, this place is it! My only complaint -- the parking is very limited.

View into restaurant at around 1:40 pm weekday.

This review is based on only one experience and it was a take-away order. I would not normally post such a review but felt it appropriate, since it was such a positive experience. This was my first time obtaining food from Las Fajitas, and I discovered it because I went to their sister store, Señor Burrito, which was closed during lunchtime. I had one goal - to pick up their chicken soup. From prior experiences at El Señor - the chicken soup is incredible. Not salty at all, it contains huge chunks of white chicken, numerous veggies with the stand out being carrots and huge chunks of potatoes. Just enough spices. I did not order in advance. As soon as I entered there was a host/general manger who was offering me a table until I explained I wanted takeout. He asked if what and I said your soup. He took my order at the bar, and responded to my query whether they charged a fee for using a credit card. No fees, vs El Señor which charges 3%. The soup was prepared for takeout, wrapped carefully in a large brown bag which was then placed in a plastic shopping bag. Chips and salsa, provided free at El Señor, was $5 here. They have their own parking, which was a challenge as it was not on flat ground, car had to be ultra carefully parking on the incline around the entry. The area was full with cars. Location is Dixie Highway off of 23rd Street. The sign is not large and I drove past it the first time and had to make U-turn and head back. And by the way the soup was bought to address nasty colds that my husband and I had. And it helped heal us!

Friendly staff, nice menu, good portions, should be enough reasons to try. The Chicken Soup was authentic HOMEMADE, delicious full of flavor! The fajitas were properly cooked and flavorful. Free Standing building with plenty of parking. The menu was simple, the prices were reasonable with good service as the manager was watching everything to make sure everybody was happy. Nice atmosphere,, one of our new go to places in the area as the this was the best homemade Mexican chicken soup I've had in a while!. They also had excellent flan!

Very good authentic Mexican food. The fajitas were excellent as were the enchiladas. They keep the chips and salsa flowing, and my wife loved the pomegranate margarita. Go there.

LF is solid all around. Food tastes fresh, prices are fair, and the vibe is laid back without trying too hard. The fajitas are really good and the lettuce tacos are a nice option. Ana took care of us and she was great. Will be back.

Tacos Asada

It's everything you want from a Mexican spot! Dim lighting, home in the wall vibes, and great food. I got the Tacos Asada which was 3 steak tacos with corn tortillas, cheese, avocado sauce, another sauce, and rice & refried beans. It was so yummy, and it was so much I didn't finish the rice and beans! My husband got the steak burrito, and he loved it. He also couldn't finish the last few bites. Service was fast and just attentive enough. It was warm in the restaurant, which is why I only gave 4 stars. But I recommend!

This little nook on Dixie hway is perfect for easy, fast, and served delicious food! We enjoyed all of what we ordered! The crispy chips with salsa is so good! The place is so cozy it brings back memories! The server was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu! I'm coming back!

Pomegranate margaritas

I havent eaten here inb many years so it was a nice surprise to go there recently upon a friends suggestion. My friend from college loves it here and bragged about the pomegranate margaritas! Thats all I needed to hear! Not too far from my home located on dixie highway just north of 20th street in east boca is where you will find the BEST margaritas in town (an so inexpensive!!). You are served the standard chips and salsa as you wait for your entree and sip on a delicious cocktail in a dimly lit mexican restaurant. So comforting! I hate blaring lights and loud music when I am drinking tequilla! I ordered the Fajitas (steak) and they were delicious. I got 5 fajita wraps and ate 4 of them and made one for later to go. I ate that while watching late night tv. The fajitas come with rice and refried beans and the portion was perfect. Not too much not too little! Just enough! And so tasty! I hadnt thought about this place in years until my friend mentioned it to me. I was so glad she did and that I said lets meet for drinks! We were both there in no time enjoying a cool refreshing margarita! They have other flavored margaritas but the pomegranate was the best! If you are in the east boca area and want some great cocktails and good food go check out La Fajitas! You wont be disappointed! I wasnt and cant wait to have another one of those great cocktails! IF you sit at the bat let jenn know I sent you.. shes a great bartendress! Take it from me! I love mexican food and this place earned all 5 stars!

Great food and energetic vibes in this lively Mexican restaurant…read more This place has an incredible atmosphere. The interior features really cool, stylized Day of the Dead like decor--lots of vibrant colors, and artwork that gives the space a ton of personality. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. We went on a weekend, and they had a lively live band playing that kept the energy in the room incredibly high. It's loud, fun, and definitely feels like a party. The menu is a big step up from your standard taco joint. This is elevated Mexican cuisine done right. A nice variety of drinks as well. As for the service, it's a bit of a mixed bag. The staff is highly effective and fast--drinks arrived quickly, empty plates disappeared instantly, and they kept the table moving smoothly, however, the vibe is definitely more transactional than friendly. I did have an issue on my last visit to the restaurant and management addressed it immediately with a very satisfactory resolution. They do care about their customers.

I love when it is busy and a little crazy "!! We had fresh warm chips & salsa to start and I had a Casa Margarita which hit the spot!! Our Server, Natalie, was very attentive and it was a pleasure to chat with her. Our food choices were Korean Short rib Empanadas and Prime Barbacoa Enchiladas. No room for dessert. The restaurant looks out onto plaza street and is a very vibrant vibe.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Boca…read more Their Chile Relleno is amazing . You will get 2 big ones and they are just delicious Everything is pretty good honestly BUT I won't be getting their chimichanga again because it's just filled with meat. That's it. We've always loved the food here, which is why this experience was so disappointing…read more We arrived around 2:50 p.m., were seated right away, and were ready to order by 2:55. Knowing lunch ended at 3:00, we had the lunch menu in hand. At one point, our server started walking toward our table, but after seeing me looking at the lunch menu, he turned around and went back to the bar to put dishes away. It honestly felt like he was trying to delay taking our order. My husband eventually had to call him over before 3:00. We ordered mahi-mahi tacos, and I was ordering the margarita chicken from the lunch menu. Instead of ringing it in right away, he waited until it was exactly 3:00 before telling us lunch was over. We asked to speak with the manager immediately. By the time she came to our table, it was still 3:00, yet she insisted there was nothing she could do because the computer wouldn't allow it. After I explained that I'd worked in restaurants and knew managers could make exceptions in situations like this, she finally agreed--but then rolled her eyes, walked away, and laughed with the server. My husband witnessed the whole thing. At that point, we didn't feel comfortable eating food prepared by people who were openly laughing at us, so we left. This was never about saving a few dollars. It was about customer service and doing the right thing. We've been loyal customers for years because we truly love the food, but the way we were treated today was so unprofessional that we may never come back. It's really sad because we genuinely enjoy this restaurant, but if this is how customers are treated and how management handles situations, it's not the kind of business I want to support.

It's so good I've already gone two weeks in a row and I'm pretty sure it's about to become a regular thing for me. One of my favorite parts about this place is that the owners are actually the chefs in the kitchen, preparing all of the dishes themselves. They're incredibly friendly and even come out to chat with guests, which makes the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. The barbacoa tacos are hands down my favorite. The meat is unbelievably tender literally falling apart and so juicy and flavorful. I also tried the campechano tacos (a mix of chorizo and steak) and they were sooo good. Perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. And let's talk about their chipotle salsa... I'm obsessed. I was putting it on everything on the table. It has the perfect smoky kick and just elevates every bite. The guac and chips were good, though they didn't quite stand out compared to how incredible the tacos were. But honestly, those tacos alone are reason enough to keep coming back. Safe to say I've found my new Taco Tuesday spot . Can't wait for my next visit!

We were sat at a table near the bar which was great as it was inside and had a nice breeze with the fans and AC. Damien was our server and was wonderful at explaining the menu and the concept of their scratch kitchen. For our drinks we tried the classic and guava-habanero margaritas. We ended up liking the classic more just because the fresh ingredients were reminiscent of those we had in Mexico. It was a little too warm out to be doubling down on spice in our drinks too. We ordered a brisket quesadilla and for our tacos: carnitas, chorizo, and crispy fish. For our second round (not pictured), my husband tried the spicy chicken. He was warned the spicy chicken is exceptionally spicy but he didn't think that warning was warranted so maybe don't be afraid to try it if you're not big on spice. We had tap water that they left a large bottle on the table for. Even though we didn't drink too much of it, they still replaced it with a fresh bottle after a while since it probably got warm. One staff member even came to wipe up the water that had sweat off our drinks. Overall, El Camino exceeded our expectations. All of the staff was kind and courteous and the food was off the chart.
