I'm bumping this 4 to a 5 because it was exactly what I wanted, everything on my plate was delicious, price was great, service was friendly enough, and I will be come back. So TL:DR, I'm sold! I'm coming back and hoping it's consistent because this meal was delicious. Ordered tacos: steak, carnitas, and barbacoa. With rice and beans and washed it down with a large agua de Jamaica. Steak taco tasted like a real steak taco, and drenched with lime and salsa from their extremely convenient salsa bar, it was fantastic. The carnitas tacos was next, it was nice and tender, great taste, and again, drenched in lime and a mix of their green and red salsa it was very yummy. In between I had the rice and beans that were excellent imo. I'm Mexican and grew up eating beans 5-7 days week so i know a thing or two. The rice and beans were very close to home made. Very nostalgic. Finally I was expecting the barbacoa taco to be, not-so-good. I dunno know honestly I just expected them to not be perfect. Barbacoa was on-point! Great taste and not dry. Good potion of meat too, so I was able to eat some of the meat with rice and beans and that was amazing. Tortillas are made in-house and tasted great, I'm usually picky about this but these weren't too thick and tasted great. The agua de Jamaica was excellent. On the sweet side but not overly overly sweet. It was the perfect meal for that particular day, it hit the spot and didn't cost an arm and a leg. Came here specifically for a breakfast burrito as I have been on a hunt for a good breakfast burrito since I move to Florida from Colorado. This was the best I have had in the Delray area. I tried both the chorizo and the steak breakfast burrito and both were great but I like the chorizo best. I'd definitely come back. Located in the Linton Square shopping center, Taqueria Huetamo is a non descript Mexican restaurant serving a variety of classics such as tacos, sopas, gorditas, fajitas and more. The restaurant has divey ambiance which I like actually, but the premises were not very clean. Our table was definitely dirty and not wiped down and the floor was sticky and slippery. Also the AC didn't seem to be working well, so when the place got crowded it was a bit too warm for me. We went with a few dishes to split, the chicken fajita, a variety of 6 tacos and a gordita with chicken. Based on all of the glowing reviews, I thought I'd be getting some insanely flavorful, top of the line Mexican food. But it was just OK. The best was the fajita meat which was juicy, well seasoned and delicious. The refried beans and rice were very average in my opinion, just filler and nothing more. The tacos were really bland. While the corn flavor of the hand made tortillas was really bold and nice, the meat filling was all dry and flavorless. I had to add copious amounts of spicy and cilantro sauce to make it worthwhile. I also thought the gordita was average. It was hot and fresh but the shredded chicken inside had zero flavor. Here too, sauce saved the day. All in all, I give this place 3 stars. Filling and affordable, but average at best. Summary: Food - 3 out of 5. Big portions, but aside from the fajita, flavors were unremarkable or absent. Amibance - 1 out of 5. Strip mall hole in the wall. Noisy. AC wasn't working well so it was hot. Table, floor and condiment station were dirty. Service - 3 out of 5 stars. Nice people, did a good job serving us quickly. I didn't want the 2 tacos place downtown as they looked so commercial and the tacos didn't look authentic. I had the carne asada and barbacoa and hubby had the the al pastor and chorizo, all were tasty but barbacoa was the clear winner hands down. We had to order 2 more barbacoa. I'm not a huge corn tortilla fan but it's a necessary evil if you want street tacos but The corn tortillas here was like I've never had, it was a bit thinker in density than normal which I absolutely loved. Why three stars you may ask? Well for starters no salsa! Any restaurant with no good salsa is not a latin restaurant! Burrito really good! Order was right! But man, i was never asked if i wanted salsa and i should had checked! Maybe they starting business and they'll get better with time! Rice is goos the beans really good too and the carne asada was good. Salsa for me either makes it or not! Unfortunately i will stick with my 3 stars for now till i have a better experience! Their menu has changed but the food is still good. I especially like to come for tacos since it's not so far from work. They are located right off of Congress Avenue and Military Trail in Delray Beach in Palm Beach County. There is a variety to choose from, but I must highly recommend trying their al pastor tacos they are yummy. What I also like is that they have their sauces, limes, and any other utensils needed right on the side. So you can take as much as you need. They have tables so if you want to sit and eat it's definitely a super chill spot to grab a bite. They are small but still have their own comfortable vibe. I do not understand how this establishment has 4 stars. I've eaten here twice and I didn't like it the first time either but I gave it another shot in case it was a fluke. I have never had tacos that taste this much like absolutely nothing. I got two chicken tacos and one carne molida (ground beef) and both of these meats have zero seasoning on them. Not to mention the tortillas fell apart first bite, they're not even heating them up like you're supposed to. The restaurant itself also stinks like someone mopped it with poop water. The torta was different than what i'm use to, it was crispy and not sure if it was corn based of bread. But, like the tacos, it was packed with meat. It's your basic no frills location. They have some booths but with Covid, you can't use them all. You're probably going to do take out. they do take orders over the phone so you can call ahead and it will be ready to pick up. Okay so I came here yesterday I usually have my go to Mexican spots and I decided to try this place because it was closer and I'm disappointed I did. I got some chicken tacos and they were shredded which I like but so plain no flavor at all you can literally see the chicken there's nothing on it. And it was so dry I had to drown it in salsa and lime to eat it. The carne asada was decent had lots of fat pieces but it was better than the chicken for sure. I can say the salsas were the best thing I had. I got the rice and beans and the rice was meh as well not to flavorful the beans were good. Coming from San Diego and living 25 minutes from the boarder you can only imagine how awesome the Mexican food is in S.D. Believe me there's nothing better than a fresh Carne Asada burrito after a long surf session. Anyway back to my review: The food here is ok nothing special I've tried the steak burrito, I guess it's equivalent to what we would call a Carne Asada burrito in California however not even close. The meat is almost minced and lettuce in a burrito, unheard of. Why put cold lettuce in a hot burrito ? I don't get it ! The beans and rice are pretty tasty though. It located in a strip mall next to a coin laundry mat- do not let it scare you away. The food is superb and as authentic as being in Mexico it's self. First- the tortillas are man made... Fantastic! The meat is that Nicosia, fatty texture with all the flavor and the salsas are even better. No tomato salsa here. Real legit green, hot sauce and the radishes. Yum! On my way back to Boynton from Boca I was looking for a light meal under 10 bucks. It seems nowadays if its not fast food everything is 8- 10 bucks + and I really dont want to spend that much or eat that much mid day. To me tacos are the perfect lunch and based on the good reviews Huetamo sounded like my kind of joint. I have been on the hunt for good authentic tacos other than in Lake Worth that are hearty and filling with a decent amount of meat and the fact that the tacos here are $2.00 each makes this the best taco place around. Easily as good as Al Cabon which seems like the gold standard around here. Very glad I checked it out! I got 2 awesome chorizo's and one almost as good but not quite al pastor. Cost with tax 6.36 ! The nice guy at the counter gave me a large cup of ice water that must have been filtered as it was clean tasting and I appreciate that. Preferred the chorizo as the meat was grilled to a delicious crispiness and had me picking up the pieces that fell out and enjoying those little tasty morsels like it was bacon. They have a little counter with 2 green and 1 red hot sauce that were similarly hot and I only needed a few drops to jack it up. Also limes and radishes and pickled carrot and onion. The décor was no frills for sure but who cares as it is about the yummy tacos to me. Seeing other items getting high marks encourages me to branch out next trip. Pricing for all items is super good. Located at the NE corner of Congress and Linton in a well worn strip mall (again who cares) it is convenient when heading back and forth from Boca and Delray to Boynton as I do a couple of times a week. read more

I recently had a second incident with a female cashier not same one of course , But I have noticed that two of them can be quiet rude at times . I understand that have both probably come from a different country but if they that can't take orders in English properly over the phone they should not be left to answer the phones . The male owner is usually extremely helpful when in the store . Also when you let the female cashier know there is a issue with your food items she completely ignores you and takes the next costumer . I do not know her name being that she doesn't wear a name tag . My most recent incident happened on Saturday 07/29/2023 . I can't get thru to the cashier so I felt it was much easier to have her management team fix the issues. read more

Wow! 4 stars on the food itself forget the location. Not the kind of place you want to take a date BUT if you are into authentic Mexican food this is the place. Anytime you see real Mexicans standing in line for food at a Mexican restaurant you know it's good. What drew me to this place is the tripe soup that is only served on the weekends. Growing up I had tripe soup and I tell you if you are into tripe this place doesn't disappoint. My gringa wife ordered the quesadilla and she say it was fantastic!
