Good food served hot, and fast. Friendly service, in a family setting. Try a combo plate or the fajita taco salad. Full bar serving both frozen and made by hand top shelf margaritas.

Pretty good Mexican food restaurant. Good sized portions at an affordable price point. We got the 3 item combo- chicken enchilada, chicken chile relleno, and carne asada taco, and a chicken macho burrito. The chicken in both combos was tasty but a little dry. The chile relleno was tasty, and the carne asada was pretty good but not great. Service was very good, food was prepared in a timely manner, and the ambience is definitely old school Mexico.

Had Las Fiestas today for lunch. Their taco salad was awesome! Great flavor and a ton of delicious ground beef, lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, and cheese! I will definitely order this again. I also ordered a poblano relleno ala carte which was good, the red sauce was different from what I'm used to, but I really enjoyed it

I've been wanting to try this place for quite some time. After a nice drive on my day off, I decided it was time to finally check them out. Mexican food in Tennessee is hit or miss, with most being the latter. I visited on a weekend for a late lunch/early dinner and the timing was perfect because there wasn't a wait and the crowds began arriving as I was leaving. There was ample parking right up front and the ambiance inside was pleasant. I always like seeing Mexicans working at Mexican food restaurants because to me, that means the food is most likely going to be authentic and it was! I ordered a 3-item combo meal. At a lot of restaurants, I opt for shredded beef instead of ground beef because I don't like the taste of many restaurants' ground beef. I decided to order just as it was described on the menu and boy, was it delicious! The cooks at Las Fiestas know what they're doing! I ordered 2 Enchiladas and a Tamale. Everything tasted amazing! Their beef is seasoned perfectly, the margarita was tasty, with just the right amount of alcohol, and I really liked their salsa. This restaurant rivals my favorite Mexican restaurant in Columbia, which shall remain nameless, and it's actually even a little better, which is saying a lot! I would come here more often if it was closer. The pricing is inexpensive and the service is great! I highly recommend and will definitely be back!

    Beautiful murals inside restaurant.

Unbelievably good Mexican Restaurant close to Henry Horton State Park. We had a large party of hungry campers, and we were comfortably seated. The service was good and quick. The chips and salsa were delicious! Full disclosure we were ravenous. The food was so delicious and flavorful. The building appeared to be new and was purpose-built. It's a great place to try if you are in the area but worth the drive if you aren't. It's so nice to have a Mexican restaurant that isn't just average. Skip the mediocrity and bueno, va'manos!

That was in the pre Covid times & place made me remember how great that it was having a Mexican lunch buffet nearby. The inside of the restaurant is simple, clean, and the staff are very attentive. There was a note on the door that said their last day at that location will be May 17 and there is a for lease sign in the parking lot. They said they are going to relocate in the area & I hope so. because we cannot afford to lose another Mexican lunch buffet spot. We've already sacrificed so much as a society in the name of progress, but we must retain our access to queso dip via a daily lunch buffet or what is the point of all of this?

The thicker it's sliced, the more tender it should be and shows off the meat as the star it ought to be. Know that when you get the loaded nachos, they give you fried chips, not regular chips like they give you as an appetizer with salsa. This is not even specified in the menu, which is quite confusing for a few items that seem similar. They are WAY too dense and they just stick to your teeth. Ugh. I had to take them all off and just use what I thought I was getting in the first place, the regular crunchy chips & those were just right. The only good thing about it was the serving was large! They had decent but not necessarily friendly service at my party's table, we kind of felt like a burden rather than appreciated as customers. The decent thing here was one of my party had shrimp and that selection was awesome. I kind of wish I had ordered it instead. And whoever made the name of this business didn't even get the name's grammar correct, there's no apostrophe here. The interior of the building was somewhat festive. The layout coming in and out is quite narrow as people pass back & forth, kind of a crunch spot waiting and/or checking out. Needs improvement, but for rural Chapel Hill, I suppose with minimal options one has to take what they can get. Bottom line, more smiles with positive attitude as well as menu streamlining (allow options if changes requested) would go a long way to having a great experience. Who is satisfied with sub-par? Apparently Las Fiestas has Lost Festiveness.

The tacos were delicious more like gourmet tacos than street-style tacos but they were fresh and flavorful nonetheless. But the Bakersfield margaritas were the star of the evening. I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised. The guacamole and chips were the standout of the meal. The guacamole was incredibly fresh, packed with flavor, and served alongside warm, freshly made tortilla chips that were hard to stop eating. We also ordered the esquites, since I'm a huge fan of authentic elote preparado. The flavors were delicious and well-balanced. My only suggestion would be to serve the esquites warm, I promise it truly takes the dish to another level. As for the tacos, the presentation was beautiful. The Al Pastor tacos looked fantastic, but they leaned a little too sweet for my taste and were missing some of the bold, smoky flavors I associate with traditional Al Pastor, like guajillo chiles, oregano, and other aromatic spices. On the other hand, the chicken tacos were excellent. They were juicy, well-seasoned, and flavorful enough to shine without needing much from the toppings. To top it all off, our server was friendly, attentive, and helped make the entire experience enjoyable. Overall, Bakersfield exceeded my expectations. While it may not replace the authentic taco shops of the Southwest, it's definitely a solid choice in Nashville, especially if you're craving flavorful Mexican-inspired food before a night out.
